This scrub is super affordable and very gentle. I have also tried the St. Ives apricot scrub. However, I prefer this one as it's a bit more gentle and suited for people with sensitive skin. I like it for this reason. It gives your skin a good clean and leaves it feeling smooth, if you want a deeper clean I would recommend the apricot scrub.

I was looking for a new scrub and saw this at the supermarket for only $8.00. The packaging is a large 150 ml tube, very colourful. I liked the fact that it is advertised as sulphate free, paraben free, oil free, hypoallergenic with natural fruit extracts in the ingredients. This scrub has a lovely fruity, citrus perfume and is a creamy white formula. On the exfoliation factor scale of gentle, moderate or deep, this is moderate. Which is fine by me, because my skin can be sensitive at times. I keep it in the shower and use it three or four times a week. My skin feels smoother, brighter and better textured and this scrub is gentle on skin. I use it with wet skin first and also bring it down onto my neck and upper chest area. The plastic tube is ideal for travel as well. I would recommend this scrub as a cost-effective alternative to the higher end brands of scrub.
Tips: Do not get into eyes. For even more results, use one of those battery powered facial massage brushes with this scrub.
This comes in a nice bright squeezable tube, making it nice and easy to get some of this white creamy exfoliator out to rub in between the palms of my hands to make it nice in foamy to rub onto my wet skin.
Wow the punch of citrus is nice and fresh and it feels skin awakening as I work this into my sleepy skin in the morning waking me and my skin up with a nice burst of fresh scent. The exfoliating beads are nice and fine, not heavy and coarse, rinses of nice and easy leaving no wee scrubby beads on my face.
This is soft enough to use every day keeping my skin lightly exfoliated soft and feeling fresh.
I'm sure my skin is left looking a lot smoother and brighter, ready for a fresh start to the day. It's value for money and it lasts.
currently using this product love how the exfoliant granules are not too harsh but still gives a nice clean feel my skin did seem a bit brighter after using this I purchased on special and would re buy my skin was not over dry after this either the packaging is appealing and it smells okay too really like that this is not full of nasty chemicals.
I didn't even know this existed until I was staying at a friends and thought I would nab a bit of her scrub. What can I say - I was hooked.
The scrub smells delicious. So fresh and is invigorating.
Love the fact that it doesn't use microbeads. I spent quite some time using pricey exfoliating scrubs because I only wanted to use washes that do not have microbeads and was unsure. Once I found this in the supermarket at a decent price it answered my woes.
I have oily skin and this works really well for me. My skin is also a bit sensitive so the scrub really is the perfect level of scrub for me. It is not super rough - definitely gentler than the St Ives apricot scrub which is another plus. I use it daily and haven't had any problems as of yet.
Packing is perfect, white squeezy tube for the product and it comes in a 150ml size. For around $10 it is a great bargain and I will continue to buy.
I highly reccomend.
Tips: As always - look out for the specials! Being in the supermarket it is often on sale.
I've used St. Ive's Scrubs since I was a teenager, and they've always featured heavy crushed-seed/shell particles, so when I first dispensed this product into my hand one sleepy morning I assumed I'd picked up the wrong bottle, because the scrubbies were nowhere to be seen! Instead there's a rough cream that does polish your face, but otherwise leaves me a little unimpressed, somehow.
It smells fine - slightly lotion-y with a refreshing citrus overtone. It feels fine - creamy but with teeny scrubby particles. It's fine on skin - doesn't dry me out, scrub me raw or overload the moisture. But that's the problem. It's simply....fine. Unremarkable, in a market crammed with remarkable products.
I'll probably not repurchase this, but I'll use the bottle.
Tips: If you're interested, just buy it - you won't get a sample, and my big thing with scrubs is that if you don't like them on your face, you can always use them on your feet.
This is my favourite of the St Ives Scrubs range! It smells yummy. has a great texture and leaves my skin feeling fresh & clean but not dry. I've been using it now for about 5 weeks & I have to say my skin is a little more even toned, although I would say it's polishing away imperfections. I do love it though & it's a part of my daily routine. although it's an exfoliator, it's very fine so not too harsh. I've even got malloMr onto it!
Tips: It's not really suitable for eye make up removal - so I recommend taking that off with something else first.
I quite like this scrub more than the apricot scrub which was too harsh on my skin. It cleans my skin very well and leaves a lovely fresh smell and feeling. It makes my skin smooth but I still suffer with acne so I find its great with blackheads instead.
Its a very gentle exfoliator perfect for my combination skin. I will purchase it again once I've run out .
I wanted to try this when I saw it advertised on TV being a fan of the St. Ives Apricot scrub and citrusy skin-care stuff.
I really like the packaging of this cleansing scrub, it's practical - easy to squeeze out the tube, and handily sits on it's largish flat cap. Also the packaging is really quite pretty and appealing looking with bright punchy colors against a crisp white background.
The scent is pretty much what you'd expect of a combination of pink lemon & mandarin orange. tangy and just a little bit sweet.
The consistency is like a lotion and has tiny pink exfoliation beads through it. If you've ever used a microdermabrasion cream, that's what the texture is like. Nothing like the coarse apricot scrub which I assume many will be familiar with, this is much gentler light- medium level exfoliator.
I feel that this product does a good job cleansing, providing light exfoliaton, brightening, polishing skin, and leaves it feeling soft and smooth. It's also very pleasant to use if you have a thing for citrus as I do. However I find this scrub not quite gentle enough to use on my face everyday, as i've found that it can be a bit drying in the case. So I use it on my face every 2-3 days, and it's good to use on your body too.
I'm quite satisfied with this cleansing scrub, and think that it's quite good value, as I paid $8 on special for 150ml tube. Recommend and will probably repurchase.
One of the most affordable and effective exfoliators I have used. I know a lot of people have used the St.Ives apricot exfoliating scrub and find it very harsh because of the bigger bits of the apricot kernel In it. This one isn't as harsh it has lots of finer pink and white exfoliator beads in it kinda like gentle sand. I do have very dry skin and I like a decent scrub to remove dry flakey bits from my face. To me this is mid range on the harsh factor also I don't have sensitive skin so can't comment on that. The tube it comes in is mcmassive! 150ml. The tube sits on the lid and there is no way it falls over easily because the lid is big and sturdy. It's easy to squeeze out and get the right amount out.
They aren't lying when they say it has pink lemon and mandarin orange in it. It would have more of a citrus hit than a Californian orange farm. Its an instant pick me up. I scrub this round my face in small circular motions (avoiding my peepers of course) and rinse it off with warm water and voilà.. Dry flakey skin is gone and instantly brighter skin I was a bit sceptical at first about it being brightening..I thought pfffft $11.99 for this big tube of exfoliator (from the supermarket) it can't brighten my skin and exfoliate. But it can and does. It lasted me for months I actually brought a rather expensive exfoliator after it ran out (it was $58 for 50ml) and it doesn't do half the job that this one does. This has to be one of my favourite skincare products it's so cheap and effective
