Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Scrub Pink Grapefruit Review

I have always sworn by Neutrogena and when this product was released I tried it. It isn't bad as far as exfoliating your skin and keeping it clear. But it is very drying. I have combination/oily skin and this my skin not only dry, but flaky. No amount of moisturizer could reverse it so I had to stop using it

This grapefruit scrub is excellent to get rid of dead skin on the face. It really brightens your face each time you use it without redness or overdrying your skin. I noticed after a few uses of this product my face is more even toned, acne marks are slowly fading, and I get less breakouts. I use this twice (morning and night) You'd think a scrub would dry out your face but not this one

I got this as a tester in the carefree starter kit and I love it! smells amazing! so fresh and clean and really makes you feel clean and alive, like you're scrubbing away those old skin cells. the scrub is like scrubbing your face with sea salt and face wash. I didn't find this product to foam up at all. i loved using it in the shower because it was hard to get the scrub off with water in a sink and i would end up with bits in my eyes. excellent at getting makeup off. only need a tiny amount, about the size of a baked bean, and scrub gently and slowly so as not to rip your skin off. i would wash twice as this is what i like to do, first time to loosen, second time to clean. am definitely going to buy a larger size of this product in the near future!!

I have been using this for the last month (and a bit) and I am liking the results. First the smell... sweet citrus, yet not as pungent as say lemon or orange (I am fussy on citrus scents... this is very nice). The texture: it is quite a bit runnier than I would have first thought, it has little micro beads that kind of feel a bit smaller that salt grains, and it a cute clear pink colour.

How it works: so I started using it twice a day and found it left my skin feeling soft, not overly dry... then after a week I found it was getting a bit tight so I cut back to once a day (usually in the morning). My skin stayed soft and blemish free. I am so happy.

This product is targeted at blemish prone skin... I have had issues with my skin since my son was born... over two years ago... some good weeks some really really bad ones. This has finally balanced my skin (combined with a light weight moisturiser straight after). My skin hasn't looked this good in so long, I had almost forgotten what it was like to have clear skin.

I use this product every morning. It leaves my face feeling fresh and clean. I am prone to black heads around my chin and nose and this product does keep them at bay. My skin does feel quite dry after washing with this product but nothing a little moisterizer cant fix. It also has a nice fragrance which is crisp and fresh.

This product gets your face clean and oil-free and is a good exfoliant due to the microbeads however it got to a point where it started to completely dry out my skin. The smell is nice and energising, which is good for a morning face wash but I wouldn't use this more than once every 2 days.

A very refreshing scrub that actually works! I am prone to blackheads, especially on my nose, and so far this is the only product that manages to clear them and reduce their reappearance! It can be a little drying of the skin but it certainly cleans deep and leaves your face ridiculously smooth. It has quite a pleasant smell too which is uplifting first thing in the morning. I don't use it every day as I find it gets a 'bit much' for my skin, but it really is wonderful at keeping breakouts at bay.

i have tried a lot of facial scrubs and they always made my skin look even worse, I decided one day to try neutrogena deep clean facial scrub pink grapefruit at first i was worried it would not work for my skin and it does work the beads help clean the dead skin off your face and help open pores to get your skin really clean and removes the nasty oil from your skin and after using it your skin feels soft

I tried a sample size of this and took it away on several short trips. I absolutely love grapefruit, it's one of my most favourite scents, so I was really looking forward to this. Combine this with the fact that it's an exfoliator (one of my favourite type of products) and I had seriously high hopes for this.

It does smell like grapefruit, but it's a very sweet grapefruit smell. I prefer a more tart, sour scent, like some other grapefruit products I have tried. The scrub itself is the pink colour of the packaging (gorgeous and so unusual!) and has quite a runny texture. It foams up fairly well, and my skin feels soft after using it.

The thin texture has microbeads suspended in them, which are small and gentle, and do a good job of exfoliating. However they are plastic microbeads, which are exceedingly bad for the environment. I really like this product (though I wish the scent was more tart and tangy) but microbeads are not something I want to be washing down my drain if I can avoid it. I'll stick to more natural exfoliants for now.
