I feel cheated ):

I read a article about this before trials were sent out for trial. I remember it said it could be used for a number of things. 1. To remove makeup 2. To freshen up 3. To clean brushes. (They are the three I remembered and have trialed this for.

The bottle is see through with a neat little cap. I love the cap.

Last night I tried it to clean my brushes. For this purpose I give 5 kisses. I will use the rest of my bottle for this purpose. They came up clean and it was done quicker than using a bossy brush cleaner

Last night I used this to freshen myself up (as if I was away camping.) I didn't like this. For some reason I felt like I had a film left on my skin (underarms) and had to go wash it off after awhile as it didn't go away. For this I give 0 kisses

Last night I had a very soft simple makeup on. As soon as I put this on my face it stung. I am not sure why as I use another product like this and it is my favourite product. So I put it down to my skin being slightly dry (which it wasn't as I found out this evening) I had to put a heavy moisturiser on as my skin felt stripped.

Today I wore a heavier makeup look. I used this product to remove the makeup on the right side of my face only. Again it stung slightly (very confused at this) As it dried I touched my face to find that same film feel. On the left side of my face I used my normal MW product. No stinging. Once it dried no film feel was left on my skin. So now I used my normal on the right side. I found more makeup was left with the Garnier. Now my skin feels clean and not needing moisturiser now I have removed the Garnier from my skin.

The Garnier doesn't remove my mascara. I had to rub alot which is bad for around the eye area. I give 0 kisses for makeup removal.

The three kisses I gave on "would I use it again", yes I would only for cleaning my makeup brushes.

Not a fan

I wanted to like this product because it sounded like such a quick and easy way to remove make up, but also had so many other uses as described on beauty review. The problem is that I just did not like the product at all. It was effective at somewhat removing the make up, but I wouldn't use it alone, my face did not feel clean afterwards (felt a bit tacky) and I felt like I needed to wash it with water and another cleanser. So I guess you could use the product to remove the majority of make up before you do another wash, but due to the number of cleansing pads needed and the extra time and effort, it definitely was not worth it. I will hold onto the product and use it for when I have heavier make up on, but it will probably not be my go-to daily make up remover/ cleanser.

Tips: Use to remove majority of heavy make uo

I love the idea of this but it hurts my skin and leaves it feeling really slimy. I do not have super sensitive but to actually get my makeup of enough it really huts!

Reaction

Bought this last Thursday for the first time & used it to remove makeup, and ended up with a severe chemical reaction, major welts and burns on my chin and neck area.. had to apply aqueous cream and hydrocortisone cream to soothe the skin, still recovering

Tips: Always do a patch test

I'm surprised!

I was super lucky enough to trial this product on here.

I have sensitive skin that really really really does not like any Garnier product. I seem to react badly even needing chemist products to help repair damage. I read up about this and was willing to give it a go. Taking one for all us sensitive bunnies.

The bottle I was given also came with a information card. Apparently 1 bottle can last up to 200 washes. It won't for me.

I've been using this every day and a few different ways to see what works for me. First of all I did the squirting on the cotton pad. Yes it removed my makeup and eye makeup. Even the stubborn stuff! It was a mission though! It took me 5 cotton pads using both sides. I tried this a couple of times as I was beginning to think it's not worth the hassle.

Next I squirted into my hands and rubbed directly onto my face and rubbed it in, then tried the cotton pad. It came off again but I still needed 3 pads.

Then I tried using a beauty blender product. Yes call me crazy but I don't want to have to keep buying lots of packets of the cotton pads. Doing it this way didn't really work.

Next I brought some cotton pads with more of a rough surface. This definitely did work better. It helped remove the makeup easier.

Finally I have found the best option for me. Using a face cloth with warm water to wash off the makeup until my face looks clean. Then use one of the cotton pads with the Micellar water in it. Now I can see all the grime that is left behind. I'm only using one cotton pad on both side. I use less of this and my skin feels cleaner. It's amazing seeing what's left behind as well.

Does it work.... Yes! Does it react to sensitive skin... No! Yay!!! Do you need to wash it off... No and it still won't react Does it leave your skin feeling soft? Yes! 1/2 a teaspoon amount? No I needed more.

I was pretty sure I would react even a little and I didn't. I love that. I was also certain I would be giving this away as it took to long to remove makeup, now I'm keeping it. I'm pleased I tried different ways of using it until I found the perfect way for me.

*UPDATE* I gave it away as it was annoying me not removing it without washing makeup off first

It's a great option if your going away camping or water is in short supply.

Neither a hit or miss

Pros: It comes in a great sized bottle for the price of it. Has an easy click open and closed lid with a small opening which makes it easy to get the product out without spilling it everywhere. When applied, it didn't sting my face and did seem quite soothing.

Cons: I found I went through a good 10 cotton pads to remove my light makeup. It swirled my foundation around my face and even after the cotton pads were clean I still felt like I needed to wash my face. It also has a weird smell to it like a damp, moldy cleaning rag which put me off. I have had a slight breakout around my hairline so i'm only guessing its because of the product mixed with foundation not being removed thoroughly enough.

Overall, I really did want to love this product and was beyond excited to try it however, it didn't live up to its hype and didn't "wow" me. I find it much easier and thorough using my normal cleanser. I will continue to finish this product using it as a spot cleanser for my makeup brushes. I wont be purchasing it again.

Tips: Great for spot cleaning makeup brushes or removing the last traces of stubborn lipstick on your lips.

Meh...another run of the mill remover

When I got it, I read the instructions and did exactly as it said to. YES...it cleaned my makeu up off really well. But there a down-points to this...it says "perfectly cleansed skin and refreshed skin without vigorous rubbing or rinsing. A soothing formula without purfume to suit all skin types, including sensitive. Micellar cleansing water removes makeup, cleanses and sloths skin on the face, eyes and lips in one step without needing to rinse off". So I took this product literally...I used this to basically wash my face at the beginning and end of the day like a remover-wash-and-toner all in one before moisturising. BAD IDEA! I broke out and my normal to dry skin is now oily! I'm still in recover mode lol. I say this is simply a basic makeup remover. Nothing more, nothing less. Being water based it didn't remove my waterproof mascara either. Thankfully I don't use waterproof products on a usual basis. But on an end note...its a good makeup remover for nonwaterproof makeup, also makes a good brush spot cleaner, and is really good value for money...400ml for $12.99 compared with other removers of 125ml for $11.99 or $8 on special.

Tips: This is just a basics water based makeup remover...follow through with your usual cleansing routine

Failed to impress

All the beauty gurus love this product, so when the package arrived on my door step I was itching to tear right in to it!

The bottle is very simple & clean, with touches of pink. Seeing petals on the label I was expecting a mild rose scent, instead it was odourless. Having an odourless product will appeal to a wider range of people and keep the ingredients list down, however for me it seemed to take away from the luxuriousness.

Removing make-up; it did the job, after rubbing for a bit - which it claims there's no needing for rubbing. Cleansing & leaving skin soft; bit of a miss for me. My skin just felt wet, once it dried there was no difference in my skin. It didn't feel much cleaner, softer or moisturised by instead rather dry. My skin didn't drink up the water as expected.

All in all I'll use up the bottle eventually for removing makeup, but I do feel like there are better products out there.

Tips: Place a cotton pad on the open lid and invert a few times. Don't try and pour or squirt the product, it will go everywhere!

Just realised it's bubbles on the front label, not petals! I need to wear my glasses more! haha

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

My first impression of the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water All in One was that it was very simply packaged and actually looked like nothing more than a bottle of water. This was possibly the impression that Garnier was aiming for. The recommended retail price was very cheap and affordable. I used the product for the first time that night after my shower. As I always wash my face and make up off while in the shower, I was interested to see what the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water would pick up on what I thought was a clean face. I was very surprised by the amount of makeup that came off on the cotton pad and realised how much I was leaving on my face on a daily basis. It was quite a shock really!! The only part of my makeup that Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water did not totally remove was my mascara, so I had to rub vigorously to get it off. This was a little different from the description on the bottle which says ‘perfectly clean … without vigorously rubbing’. The product is also meant to be suitable for sensitive skins and I did not have any adverse reactions to it in the 10 days I used it, where sometimes I can get eczema so I was very pleased with that. Although the label said it was perfume free, it had a slight chemical smell and when I checked the list of ingredients on the back it had a lot of chemicals listed that I did not recognise. This could possibly stop me from using it again as I prefer natural products. I would possibly refer this product to friends, as it did clean my face well, but more than likely I would recommend it to friends who did not mind using chemical products so much.

Tips: Make sure to use cotton pads and not cotton balls, as I would normally use cotton balls but bought cotton pads (as directed on the bottle) and that made a big difference for ease of use.

Won't repurchase

I have been waiting a while before I typed my thoughts on this one, I wanted to really give this a good trial before voicing my opinion.

Firstly, I purchased this from the Supermarket on special for about $9. I waited until most of the hype was over and I'm glad, I don't like frantically trying to search down a product along with thousands of other people!

I'm pretty much at the end of my first bottle, and I have to say, I'm just not that impressed.

They say it's good for 200+ uses etc on the bottle -what?! I imagine that is only true if all you wore was mascara! I go through at LEAST 8 soaked cotton pads to remove my makeup, and I wouldn't say I wore heavy coverage. I'm not so keen on the feel of my skin afterwards, it just doesn't leave a nice 'clean' feeling, so I find I'm still reaching for another cleanser to finish the job. I have also noticed that it does irritate my skin too, leaving it red and blotchy, as well as a bit itchy.

All in all, I really don't like the product or the results and I won't repurchase.
