Essano Micellar water

I love the essano micellar water. At first it stung my face slightly and made it a bit red. But I continued to use it and after a couple of uses that went away. It's slightly more soapy than other micellar waters I've tried, but it does an amazing job at removing makeup!! I like using it on a cotton pad to remove my makeup, and it's much more gentle on my skin than facial wipes as I don't need to rub very hard.

Reacted with my skin

I loved this when I first used it. It removed all my make up easily, it was a bit soapy but only if I rubbed to hard. It also has a really nice smell. Unfortunately that's where the good points end for me. It stung my eyes and after using for a few days my face was covered in bumps, not like acne more like an allergic reaction, they disappeared within a few days of stopping using the product. I will continue using it to clean brushes tho as it works really well for that

Oh good idea! I was about to give my half full bottle to my sister but I might keep it to clean my brushes!

Essano Micellar Water

I have used other Miceller waters and enjoyed them. I have found them quite effective and have had no issues with stinging or drying.

Essano Micellar Water is as good as others I have used. It is so easy to use, I just use cotton wipes, it is that easy. Pour some Micellar water onto your cotton square and wipe away the days make up. I did not use this for my eye make up as I prefer another product for that.

I do go over my face with my Konjac sponge for that extra clean feeling. This is just a personal preference and not entirely necessary, I just love my sponge!

I found that this product is good value for money. 400 mls for around $13.00.

Essano Micellar Water

My daughter gave me this and it's probably one of the best Micellar waters that i have tried! Clear in colour, and in a generous sized bottle, this stuff cleans your skin quickly and efficiently. I use it as my second cleanse of the evening. I apply with cotton pads and you can see how much stuff your regular cleanser can leave behind. With no sticky residue, I will definitely include this in my evening cleansing ritual.

Tips: Soak two pads at once and use one per side of your face and neck.

Essano Micellar Water

This is my new favourite micellar water! The bottle is very large, clear with labelling that I find appealing and a black flip top lid. I do find it to have a slight scent but I can't put my finger on what it is, nor is it enough to cause me any kind of bother. The product itself is clear with a water-like appearance that seems to foam up a lot when shaken. I haven't experienced any tightening of skin, dryness or irritation of any sort and it typically leaves my skin feeling moisturised which is a big plus for me! I can't even put into words how much I appreciate this along with other Essano products not being tested on animals, I definitely am keen to try more products from this company.

Essano Micellar Water - Soapy and Stings My Eyes!

Garnier was the first big bottle of micellar water I bought. I really liked it, it was handy and even my family liked using it. A big bottle lasted us a long time and we repurchased it a few times and it was a family favorite. But it did fall short in a couple areas, one was the smell and the other was a more personal thing and that is my love for natural products. With obvious natural ingredients in it I decided to try another brand - Essano. Essano's micellar water has lactic acid, aloe vera extract and rosehip seed oil. It also says that 99.05% of the total ingredients are of natural origin, 10.0% of the total ingredients are from organic farming. I don't find that hard to believe considering it's mainly water with a smidge of other ingredients. I did like the natural ingredients from organic farming. The price was good for the size of the bottle, the same 400ml bottle as Garnier and it smelt better than Garnier without having any added fragrance. Somehow though it didn't seem to live up to my expectations to be more amazing than Garnier. I used this to remove my makeup and it somehow seems a bit soapy for a micellar water. It leaves a bit of soap on my face and somehow manages to leave my skin feeling tingling within minutes and not in a good way, I have to rinse my face off with water soon after I use this or move on to the next cleansing step in my routine. But the worst thing about this micellar water, is that it really stings my eyes when I use it to remove my eye makeup. My eye makeup remover at the moment is oil based so I like to wipe off the oil after it has dissolved my eye makeup with micellar water. Any time I use this around my eye area my eyes sting and I need to rinse them. It don't know why considering this is supposed to sooth and is ph balanced, but since I don't like using micellar water that stings my face and especially my eyes. I won't be repurchasing this product. I will be using this bottle for cleaning my makeup brushes and the multiples suggested uses for micellar water.

Tips: If you bought this and it stings your face and eyes consider using it for your makeup brushes or spot cleaning your body with micellar water on a paper towel, like freshening up your armpits before reapplying deoderant in summer. Great product - with a stingy downside!

Ugh I wanted to like this product SO badly! I have enjoyed the Essano range so far, and I LOVE micellar water, but this product just did not want to work for me. Although it was great at removing makeup (simply apply to a cotton pad and wipe), it left my eyes tight, stinging, red and puffy! NOT cute at all. Tried to make this work several times but have now given up and are back to my fave Lush Ultrabland Cleanser again.

However, this product is good for removing makeup like foundation and blusher, etc. Just keep away from the eyes!

Sort of soapy??

This is the third different brand of micellar water that I have used. I first fell in love with the garnier one over a year ago and since then I've been wanting to try lots of other brands out to see who does it best.

This is a very affordable water. I paid under $10 for this big 400ml bottle. This size lasts me around 6 months of daily use, I only really use it to remove eye makeup though, not a full face of makeup. I imagine you would go through the product much quicker if you did that.

This comes in a bottle pretty much the exact same as the garnier version. Just the labelling and lid colour is different. I never feel safe with this kind of lid though, I always feel like it might pop open although it does click shut tightly. I would just prefer a screw lid.

This product looks exactly like water. When you shake it up though, it will bubble up. I feel like this has the tiniest hint of a rose scent? Barely anything though.

I use this by putting a small amount onto a cotton pad and wiping it over my eyes. It does work well at removing makeup but it also stings my eyes. I found with the garnier and loreal ones, my eyes would sting if I used too much product but even when I'm careful with this, I still get that sting. I feel like this must have more of a percentage of cleanser in it? I find that when you have it on the cotton pad and sort of rub it between your fingers, you kind of get a slippery soap feeling. It definitely doesn't feel like water anyway.

I will keep using this, mainly because I'm stubborn and hate throwing stuff away. I am thinking about using it to clean my brushes though to use it up a bit quicker. I wouldn't buy this one again, I'd definitely recommend the Garnier over this one.

Worth a try, but I wouldn't repeat-buy

I picked up the Essano Micellar Water on a whim in the supermarket one night after the current micellar water I had been using had run out. With the variety of micellar waters available now I have been trying out the various brands to see if there was any I prefer.

I have previously tried several Essano skincare products and absolutely loved them, so had high hopes for this. It was packaged in a simplistic clear 400ml bottle which provided a lot of product, some of the other brands don't and this is a tick for me as I tend to wear a full face of makeup at work each day. My only gripe is that the bottle states 200 uses... that's two mls a use... who are they kidding?!

The formula itself had the standard micellar-water features with it's watery consistency. I applied it using a cotton pad which drunk it right up as expected. I then used a few of these to wipe away my makeup, but bearing in mind I do wear full-coverage foundation and Benefit's They're Real mascara which isn't exactly a 'one swipe to remove' product so others may use less. Essano's Micellar Water did remove my makeup easily BUT... ... it stung my skin like crazy! When removing my eye makeup, I had to wipe a makeup wipe over my eye after using the micellar water on it because it stung the sensitive skin around my eye. I don't have overly sensitive skin so I was extremely suprised that a product from a brand like Essano would react like that.

Clearly I won't be using this again (although I did try the bottle on a few occasions just to be sure it was still happening - silly me!). I'd recommend it to a friend to try for themselves because the product itself performed well, but I'd be sure to pre-warn them of my experience!

Tips: Might be worth avoiding for those with sensitive skin.

I also had this reaction! I've never had a reaction to a product before so I emailed the company, got lousy feedback from them.

Gentle and easy

This was the first micellar water I'd tried and I was fascinated to see what the fuss was about. I've been a fan of Essano for a long time I love their attractive packaging and the gentleness and naturalness of their products. This product gently removed my make-up and freshened my skin after a long day but it didn't effectively remove eye make-up I needed to use a separate cleanser for that. It's incredibly easy to use all I needed to do was put some on a cotton pad and swipe it across my skin. Although this is not a holy grail product for me it does what it says on the packet and I will continue to use it.

Tips: A little bit goes a long way.
