My issue with sensitive skin products is that there is often an assumption that the skin is also very dry. While this is sometimes true, for me it is not. I tried this cleanser in conjunction with the Living Nature Sensitive toner and moisturiser and I immediately broke out. I toned it down and just tried this cleanser with my regular products. I found this cleanser good for not stripping the skin, but ultimately it was also too rich for my skin. However the scent was a good neutral one and I love the concept of all the natural ingredients.

Tips: If you want to try this, order the Sensitive Skin sample pack from the Living Nature website.
This skincare range designed specifically for those who suffer from sensitive skin. Using pure natural ingredients such as Harakeke flax extract, organic virgin coconut oil, emulsifiers from olive oil to sooth, calm, protect and nourish the skin. I have dry/sensitive skin and I was really excited to try this range.
This sensitive range comes in a vibrant green & white packaging. The cleanser comes in a squeeze tube. It has a thick creamy texture and white in colour. I had a huge expectation in this product in term of the smell, I was hoping it would smell like coconut as it contains coconut oil. However, this cleanser does not smell anything like coconut at all. I reckon the fragrance of this cleanser is overpowered by the smell of other ingredients, possibly the native Harakeke flax plant. Living Nature wants to keep it as pure and natural as possible, trying not to adding any fragrance in it. The smell is still mild and pleasant, does not put me off using the product.
The cleanser is thick, creamy, feel very nourishing but not oily at all. It is a natural product so it does not lather up like other commercial cleansers. I massage it on my skin in circular motion. It cleans my skin beautifully without drying it. My skin feels very clean after using this cleanser, but not feeling stripped. It leaves no residue. It also gently removes makeup and impurities without any irritation. I have never experienced any irritation with this cleanser. It leaves my skin feeling refreshing, plump, moisturised and most importantly nourishing. I am really impressed!
This cleanser is nourishing and gentle enough to use in the shower. I find washing my face in the shower with hot water dries out my skin badly. I normally wash my face with warm and cold water at the basin. Even used in the shower, it still manages to keep my skin feeling moisturised and not feeling dry.
Because of the Harakeke providing antibacterial properties, it does really help to control and clear out my acne’s. Acne’s and redness on my skin have reduced noticeably.
A bottle lasts me a long time. I still find this cleanser a bit pricey, however it is a really good cleanser for sensitive skin. I would definitely repurchase and would highly recommend this range to people who suffer from sensitive skin like me.
I was luckily given a tube of this by a very sweet member. I really love organic beauty products and Living Nature is a brand I really enjoy using. This is a really gentle PH balanced cream cleanser. I've found this to be incredibly gentle on my skin especially on mornings when my nose area is raw from hayfever and even the products that are labeled for sensitive skin sting, this doesn't. Now texture wise I don't really see much of a difference between this and the Vitalizing Cleanser which is my favorite. The ingredients are water, virgin coconut oil, vegetable glycerin, beeswax, larch tree gum, sucrose cocoate, xanthan gum, cetyl palmitate, NZ flax gel, glucose, decyl glucoside, sorbitan palmitate, sorbitan olivate, coco glucoside, glyceryl oleate, glucose oxidase and lactoperoxidase. I like that this cleanser comes in a tube as it's easier to squeeze out every last bit as I do have that problem with the flip top bottles that Living Nature has their products in. I think almost $40 is a bit expensive for a cleanser, but if you have really sensitive, dry and irritated skin it maybe worth it for you.
Tips: It's pricey but if you wait till Living Nature has a good gwp you can get more for your buck. They usually do every once in awhile. Because Living Nature products are so natural you have to be careful about them growing mold inside the cap after awhile, not something you need to get paranoid about but just keep an eye on your Living Nature products, especially the ones you store in the bathroom.
This lovely soft cleanser comes in a white tube with the living nature branding, which is quite plain and simple and conveys the look of an organic, NZ made product. I was sent samplesby the organisation to try.
I have generally dry skin with patches of sensitivity and usually buy products more suited to dry skin, so was keen to try this new range of sensitive skin products.
The cleanser comes out of the pack as a white lotion of thin-medium thickness, and has a scent quite similar to some other NZ made products. The scent is neither bad nor good.
The product absorbs easily into the skin but feels a little thin for my liking, my preference being for creams and foaming cleansers, or products heavier than this. It certainly didn’t leave any irritation, and was beautifully mild as the marketing suggests.
Once I washed it off my skin did feel very clean and fresh, and certainly had no signs of irritation.
At $38.00 for a 100 ml tube if may seem a bit pricey, but it is within the range for good quality sensitive skin products.
I would recommend this product to people with sensitive skin.
Tips: For combination dry/sensitive skin, a dry skin product is probaby a better choice.
