CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser

I decided to try this cleanser every morning for a week and noticed a big difference after the first use. I have been struggling with eczema/bumpy pimples around my nose and chin area due to wearing a CPAP mask and having dry skin. After the first application, I felt no bumps, and my skin was so smooth. In the shower, I decided to try it on my body (chest and back area where it's bumpy). I left the cleanser on for a minute to absorb into my skin and washed it off. I felt clean, fresh and soft, with smooth skin. It's very gentle and has reduced my redness and bumps significantly.

I love that this cleanser is fragrance-free and affordable. I use retinol at night, and I didn't want to use the cleanser in the evenings as combining SA and retinol is too harsh for the skin (Cerave oil foaming cleanser is my go-to night cleanser). I use it in my morning routine, and my skin has never looked so clear and glowy!

Great cleanser! I really liked this product, it had a nice gel consistency and no obvious fragrance.

I felt it would be economical to use as a small pump of it went quite far. I used this with my FOREO to help with the bumpy skin I have around my jaw and neck.

I’ve seen and felt a big improvement in the texture of my skin and I think with continued use it will be even better.

The pump bottles work well to keep in the shower, and using in the shower with the steam helps to open pores and really get the product into your skin.

My skin felt great after using, and didn’t feel tight or dry - very gentle and effective cleanser. Because of the ingredients, it also works well on acne prone skin and helped to clear up some small breakouts on my cheeks.

As my other review, Cerave packaging is very basic and not as pretty as some other brands I typically go for, but I feel it appeals to a broad age range.

Overall, I would purchase again - good value for money and appears to have made big improvements on my skin texture.

This product has really changed my life. I have suffered with red bumps my entire life. I've tried creams and exfoliation but it seems to just irritate. This cleanser I have used for around 2 weeks and it has really reduced the look and feel of these bumps dramatically. I really enjoyed the smell as it was a light fragrance. It wasn't tingly or stingy at all which I was concerned about. The bottle is an easy pump bottle and comes out really well. The subtle colours of the bottle were lovely and not too bright in my bathroom. My partner noticed a massive difference in the appearance and feel of my arms. I also discovered that using the cream and cleanser together made a huge difference. Used in conjunction with each other these really work. This product is honestly worth the hype and I fully recommend.

I didn't really think I suffered too much with rough bumpy skin but dryness and irritation yes, which was one of the reasons I tend to switch to different cleansers preferably natural based and no or low fragrance.Well hello to beautiful ,hydrated ,smooth and bump free skin after only a few days of use,the difference to the texture and appearance of my skin has blown me away! Ok the packaging is pretty plain and simple almost clinical looking like something a Doctor would prescribe and the font size could of been a tad bigger for those of us with poor eyesight, but the product itself was easy to use with a pump top action that gave you practically a mess free application.The texture is quite a thick consistency,clear in colour and I loved that there was no fragrance,.Being hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic assures you that you won't react in an allergic way to the product and you won't end up with any blocked pores,a winning combination for sensitive skin. I like the consistency and it does feel lovely and soothing to use on my skin with no irritating fragrance or other ingredients that might cause my skin to flare up.I wasn't too sure about using this on my face but I went ahead and tried it using only a couple of pumps and avoiding the eye area and then applied a few more pumps of product to the rest of my body so overall I would of used approx 6 pumps.I didn't notice much of a lather on my face or body but what I did notice was how soft and smooth my skin felt and after a week of using the cleanser my skin just looked so hydrated and healthier with all dry patches completely gone! so if a product can do this to my skin in a short time then I am sold! My adult son also was intrigued about this cleanser so he tried it out on his skin and even he agreed how soft and smooth his skin was only after one use.In terms of value for money I think price wise this is a little bit up there but the difference it will make to your skin and how gentle the product is makes it worth seriously considering.I know this is one product I will continue using especially since it was developed by dermatologists and is specifically for those with sensitive skin so yes I thoroughly recommend it.

This cleanser is AMAZING! I was honestly a little nervous trying this, the skin on my body suffers dryness, eczema, keratosis and occasionally if I don’t keep on top of it I get psoriasis too. Most body washes even sensitive ones leave my skin dry and tight almost immediately after rinsing off while I’m still in the water. However Cerave cleanser was designed for dry, rough sensitive skin so I was excited to give it a go. In a nice rectangular shaped bottle with a pump for ease of use in the shower. It has a slight scent but no fragrance and is clear and nice thickness so it doesn’t run out of your hands while washing. 3 pumps were enough for my whole body as it lathers nicely. Once rinsed off I noticed no tightness. I use this combined with the moisturiser and noticed a huge improvement after the first application. After a week of using both my skin feels and looks amazing. It’s definitely given me more smoothness and less bumps and roughness. At 33 it’s making me feel like my skin on my body isn’t as dull and dry. I will definitely repurchase again this stuff is amazing

I really liked using this cleanser. I have KP on the backs of my legs and arms and I think it has really helped me. In just over a week my legs have become less bumpy and so much smoother, I will continue to use as I am hoping it will clear it up completely but I am so happy with the results my legs are the smoothest they have been in years and seem to keep improving. On a side note my partner has eczema and sensitive skin he has also been using this and there is a noticeable difference in how much smoother his ezcema has been.

I would’ve liked on the packaging to be advertised that it can help with things like KP as it does on the website as I personally don’t think I would’ve purchased and paid the $18.99 at chemist warehouse if I hadn’t known that it would help.

I also was confused whether this could be used on the face as well as on the packaging it only says avoid the eyes but if you go to the directions on the website it tells you how to apply to face. A little goes a long way so I think the price point is reasonable. It is fragrance free which I like but has a slightly strange scent to it but it doesn’t hang around.

I would recommend to anyone to try this if you have KP or bumpy/rough skin as I didn’t think anything would help.

What a treat getting to try this product along with the moisturing cream. This cleanser come in a very generous sized pump bottle. Contains 3 essential ceramides, free from fragrance, alcohol, paraben and sulphate. I used this daily in the shower and found it refreshing and it left my skin feeling smooth, silky and gently exfoliated. This product can be used as an all over body cleanser and a little goes along way. Definitely be buying this again, I'm very impressed.

I'm so happy I got to trial the CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser. I have Keratosis Pilaris on my upper arms, and over the past few years it has gotten worse and started affecting my forearms too. I've been using the Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash just to see if the Salicylic Acid in it will help, but CeraVe blows that out of the water! Straight after the first application I noticed a difference upon getting out of the shower. The skin on my arms felt a little smoother and not at all dried out like I thought it would. The cleanser was very gentle on my skin and non irritating, not much of a scent that I could discern either. After multiple uses I can definitely see a difference and I'm extremely happy with the results. I'll be continuing to use this cleanser as it has managed to give me the opportunity to bare my arms again in public without being horribly embarrassed over the ugly bumps.

The dinky bottle is just so cute! I love this size, it would be perfect if you were just going to use it on your face!

It's a very prescriptive looking label, like something you'd expect to find in the pharmacy, not the skin care aisle. That said, it's clear what it is and what it does.

Being CeraVe I was confident just to get stuck in, I used this on my face and body, really scrubbing it into my upper arms where the skin is red and bumpy.

There's not much to say about using it, it foams, it spreads and it isn't scented. I've been using it for 2 weeks I think and have experienced no tightness or irritation. But my face is more balanced, less oily, and my arms feel smoother.

I will be repurchasing in the biggest size possible.

I love this cleanser! It works makes your skin feel so soft! I use this as well as the Cream that goes with it, and the results are amazing! I really recommend that you try it you won’t regret it x It has no smell, but that doesn’t bother me :)
