It does what it says it does. But it's so gentle that it didn't really get my makeup off or feel like it was really cleaning my face but it was good in terms of not reacting with my sensitive skin

Tips: Good for backne
I’ve heard so many good things about this cleanser that I was happy to get a few travel sized in a beauty bag, I was excited to try it out on my travels.
It was a great cleanser in the mornings to freshen my skin up before moisturiser and makeup, however it failed miserably at night, removing makeup. Not even double or triple cleanse helped, so I kinda started taking my makeup off with micellar water first and then use this afterwards to remove leftovers and it was ok that way.
It doesn’t lather really, but I didn’t mind as I prefer cream cleansers anyway and they don’t lather at all.
It didn’t break me out and it didn’t dry my skin out, overall it’s an ok cleanser and can be used as the second cleanser after removing makeup with another cleanser. For the price it’s great, but I wouldn’t purchase the full size as I like my cleanser to be able to remove my makeup if needed.
Firstly, the big, pharmaceutical-looking bottle won't win any beauty awards, but it's perfectly practical and I do like a pump dispenser.
It's fragrance-free, and quite a liquid consistency, and it's very, very gentle on the skin and eyes. No problems there at all. I think it also does a pretty good job of cleaning off my light makeup and the dirt of the day. However, I hate the way my skin feels afterwards. It doesn't FEEL clean. It's like there's a slimy film over my face and I want to wash it all over again.
My skin's dry and sensitive, and I guess technically Cetaphil is doing what it says it'll do, but I end up using loads more product than I should, trying to get my face to feel properly clean, and I find the end result really unpleasant. So, yes, I'd recommend it to a sensitive-skinned friend who might like the feel of a protective film on her face after washing, and I'd say it's good value at $17 per 500 ml, but I won't be repurchasing.
Tips: Don't keep applying more product and doing repeat rinsing to try and get that really clean feeling - it won't work!
This cleanser makes your face feel fresh and clean, real clean without drying out your skin. My daughter used it when her skin was blemish prone. It was one of the better cleansing products she’s tried. I found my skin also responded well to it.
Tips: Cleansing your face at night with cetaphil cleanser then washing it with water and a cloth in the morning works well for me.
I love using this product as a cleanser and as a moisturiser as well, that's how much I love it, I do dry skin and I use this to clean all the make up off my face... just like the moisturiser your skin feels hydrated and moisturised..
I quiet like Cetaphil. All though I never relied on it to help with acne, I did find it does a good job of making your skin feel fresh and clean, all though I found you really really have to cleanse throughly with this product.
Im not really a fan of milky cleansers but I think for its price and size, its a good deal. I personally wouldn't use it without water. I found it great for removing mascara without adding water and for overall cleansing/make up removal.
I have sensitive, oily, and acne prone skin and this cleanser was gentle on my skin but my skin still broke out and didn't feel overly clean after each wash. I need to wash twice to have that squeaky clean feeling.
It didn't make my skin feel tight or dry which is great and I would recommend it for sensitive skin but I would say it's a pretty average cleanser overall.
i only use a quick make up remover aka if i did my makeup really bad and just wanted to start over. the cleansing is not so good and i still break out after using it.
Decided to get this cleanser a go after reading comments on the Forum about should we cleanse twice a day and I only cleanse at night so thought I would give this a go. I also have sensitive mature skin so needed something gentle, also thought if I wasn't keen on it would be gentle enough for the Mr 12. I grabbed the 473ml on special for $19:95 what a bargain.
So 1st time using in the morning so no makeup to remove just a skin wake me up, its a pump but should be called a squirter, whoosh nearly missed my hand, so just a gentle push and only needed maybe 10cent size. Its like a clear creamy consistency, not too thick or thin, doesn't foam which I like, feels nice and silky. Didn't react so continued for a good week but really felt no different from my usual water and face cloth in the morning.
Now I also tried at night to remove makeup, and won't change from my usual cleanser. I really didn't feel like it removed my makeup well and its only a light coverage so should of cleansed well. I actually forget to use it so have left it all for Mr 12 to use, and hope to see if it helps the upcoming acne phase.
I was given this to use and found it did its job. Didn't have a sMell that would make me use again. Did the job it was meant to and hands felt clean. Just not a product I would buy on a regular basis.
