Invented with teenage skin in mind

Cupcake is our one Fresh Face Mask that was created for a bit of fun. At the time, our inventor’s daughter was a young girl having slumber parties with her girlfriends every weekend, so he whipped up a chocolate mint mask for young, oily skin (officially solidifying him as the coolest dad ever). If you suffer from oily or spotty skin, slather it in this cocoa concoction. With spearmint oil to cool, vanilla absolute to calm redness and Rhassoul mud to deeply cleanse- Cupcake is a sweet savior for young faces. Smothering yourself in chocolate for clearer skin? Every teenage girl’s dream. .

Indulgent treat

Imagine smearing yourself in rich chocolate with a hint of mint....mmmmm. This mask smells divine and is perfect for a calorie free chocolate treat. The clays seemed to help with my oily combination skin, with the mint leaving my skin fresh.

Tips: Perhaps not the most gentle lush mask for sensitive skin.

Reliable & really delicious

I've been addicted to Lush products for quite some time, but for some reason I only just started using this brilliant face mask.

I have oily, acne prone skin and rarely find a product that accomplishes anything noteworthy. However, I am glad to say that this face mask has started to work it's magic on my complexion. My pores appear to have shrunk and have less clogging them up - which is something no other mask has been able to accomplish.

What's more, the smell is absolutely delish! This, combined with the soft granules, make it a divine face mask I recommend wholeheartedly to everyone with problem skin.

Tips: Store in the fridge amd apply to a clean face. When you're ready to remove the mask, massage face in circular motions as you rinse off the product for an additional exfoliation stage!

Cupcakes Are Awesome!

I was lucky enough to receive a voucher for Lush along with a tub of my all time favourite Lush product- Lemony Flutter as a gift from my little brother for Christmas. As I usually just order off their website I'd put off using my voucher until I had a free day last week and decided to take a trip to the Newmarket store for a day out and Cupcake Face Mask was one of my purchases. As my skin has been a bit unpredictable and oily the past six months from medications, I decided this mask sounded like it would be fantastic for my skin and I'm soooo glad I purchased it! It smells amazing, when it dries the scent reminds me of lolly slice which happens to be one of my favourite childhood treats!! It instantly feels soothing as it's cool from being kept in the fridge and the mint in it gives a tingling feeling which feels like it gets the blood flowing through my skin properly. I really can't fault this stuff aside of maybe the price and the short expiration period. I will have no problem at all using it up but it won't be a monthly purchase for me, I will buy it as a treat every now and then though :)

Tips: Does going to the Newmarket store count as a tip? I've always had great customer service at Lush stores both here and in Oz, but the girls working at Newmarket the day I went in were so amazing and knowledgeable!

Fav Lush mask!

I love how this product was formulated for my exact skin type (oily teenage skin). I'm always sceptical when buying from Lush as they're quite pricey but I was desperate, and they gave me a free sample of it! I love the sample so much that I got the full size. It has such an amazing scent and consistency. I feel like this made my pores a lot smaller and cleared up my skin really well, I just feel like it cleans my skin really well, It's slightly exfoliating so I like to jump in the shower after I've put it on and rub it with warm water so it gets deep into my pores.

Tips: Try not to eat it!

WOW! What a mask!

I had to try out this mask after seeing all the great reviews on here and hearing incredible things from a friend. To sum up my reaction in one word - WOW!

I am normally a huge fan of anything from Lush, but at the moment this one takes the cake. The mask is from their Fresh range, which means it's made with all natural and fresh ingredients, expires sooner, and is kept in the iced area of the store. I personally love the idea of a product so fresh, even if it does put a little pressure on in terms of using it up!

The scent is AMAZING - this mask actually smells like a rich chocolate cupcake! What I love about this scent, however, it that it doesn't overwhelm you with rich chocolatey-ness like other masks have done (eg the Freeman Chocolate and Strawberry mask). There is the perfect amount of mint in this mask as well to balance it out with some freshness.

Cupcake comes in the typical black, recycled, screw top Lush container. It's texture is very thick, and the product is a dark brown chocolately colour. It applies easily to your skin, and dries within 10-15 minutes. I found no tightness or irritation on my skin after use, which was great because my skin is quite sensitive.

I absolutely noticed results from this mask. I use it in the evenings before going to bed, and wake up with calmer skin and fewer breakouts. Definitely works! Now, if only this came as a daily cleanser...

Don't Eat it!

My sister purchased this and left it in the fridge... One night when I was rummaging I spotted it. Even though I read that this is for oily skin (I have dry skin), I couldn't resist trying it.

The smell of this is actually heaven. It is a gorgeous chocolatey smell that reminds me a lot of a chocolate face mask I got in a memebox. Because it smells soooo good I had to taste it... Don't taste it! Hahaha. It smells delicious but tastes revolting.

Because it was kept in the fridge, it felt super soothing and cooling on my face. It was easy to apply (albeit a little messy), and rinsed off easily.

Because I am stubborn, I ignored the fact that when I used this my skin felt (and looked), drier. It definitely does what it says it will - this would be perfect for those with oily skins, but isn't good for us dry skinned ladies.

Upon using this, my face felt tight and after rinsing it off and letting my face dry, my skin looked and felt dehydrated. Yet still I used it more than once.

If you have dry skin, keep away from this - no matter how delicious it smells. It really dried my skin out and made my face feel tight.

Needless to say I wouldn't purchase this.

Fave new brand.

Oooooooh my gosh! The smell of this is amazing!! Lush is my fave new brand I love everything from the store. I have oily skin a lot threw the hotter months. So I've been looking for something to help that but not something that's full of chemicals. It actually works. After a couple of times I noticed it took a lot longer for my skin to get oily again. I don't use other products on my face besides nude by nature mineral powder as I get acne if I use foundations. It's hard to stop yourself from tasting the face mask haha.

Tips: Leave it for about 10mins longer than what it says to. As I seen some oil start coming threw the mask

Chocolate mask

This product does exactly what it says it will. Its really mattifying so great for oily skin, but even though my skin is oily/combo I found it still stung when first applied. I dont actually like how it has to be kept in the fridge, i find it unpleasant to put chilled things on my skin! However, my skin is always so soft and smooth after applying this mask and yes - it smells good enough to eat!

Mmmmm cake......

I was so excited to try this mask as who doesn't like the idea of spearing cupcakes all over their face lol. Its supposed to have a mint smell to it but sadly I couldn't smell it but no worries, it still smelt nice without it. So when you think cupcake or chocolate you thing like chocolate bar chocolate, unfortunately to me this didn't smell like that kind of chocolate, more like baking chocolate i.e. not as sweet. I did find it quite hard to spread over my face once it had been in the fridge but it was okay as once it started to be smoothed over the skin, it melted with its normal temperature. While it started to dry, I could feel it start to tighten and then as it got dry it started to crumble which I found a wee bit messy and the clean up process was just as messy. Once I had washed it off, my face was a teensy bit red but it died down after a minute or two and my face looked and felt radiant. I couldn't stop touching my face. I highly recommend this mask.

Tips: I would suggest perhaps taking it out of the fridge maybe half an hour before applying so that it is easier to smooth over your face in a more equal fashion.

Yes its a great reward system. How does it work if you don't have a store where you are though? I love mask of magnaminty too, but I have sensitive skin too, so makes it a bit red. I haven't tried brazened honey yet but would love to try that next.

Cocoa Mint Heaven

I have normal to very mildly oily skin and this is how it worked for me.

Not only does the smell of cocoa and mint send me off into paradise, the cocoa left my skin feeling moisturised after washing it off. My skin also smelt like delicious cocoa for hours! The mint gave it a fresh feeling leaving my skin felling cleansed.

Tips: Wet the face a little so it feels a bit dewy before applying so you will have a smoother application
