Best baby balm we tried

Love this balm! It smells amazing as well as working really well as a barrier cream. The honey in it really helped my babies eczema also.

So handy, use daily, I don't even have a baby :)

Every one needs one of those go to balms, just to help sort out bumps, cuts, dryness, slight skin issues.

A 100g pot, smells so so good, texture is easy to apply, no too thick. Not gel but smooth cream like texture which is not at all too heavy. Product list is full of my favourites, Manuka Honey, Avocado & Coconut Oil, Rosehip and Calendula with Natural Beeswax thrown in too!!

I've been using to moisterise lips, tend to little bits and bobs, sort out my dry elbow patches. Within 24 hrs I had so much relief.

My go to, handy for anything new favourite balm. My Elizabeth Arden one isn't quite doing the trick anymore, maybe I've become too used to it?

Anything that has Manuka Honey is a favourite for me, Wild Ferns was a easy choice, used other products.

Don't feel like I need to over sell this product or convince, its just a great product packed full of great NZ products, made here too!

A tad expensive at $24.95, I got it on a great deal in a shop.

Tips: Not just for babies, use as the go to balm which every house needs.

Love

This is a lovely creme for baby bums. Easy to apply and smells lovely. Protects skin well however I think it is pricey.

I use this

Chaffing is a big problem for me so I use this on myself. An excellent barrier cream that works, thankfully. Really like it, takes away the burn and also protect the area.

Sweetest smelling barrier cream

This cream smells amazing, the same honey fragrance as rest of the range. The texture is creamy and moisteriser like.

Unlike many creams it's not zinc based so haven't noticed stains. It is however long lasting and provides a barrier overnight.

Baby didn't flinch on application on raw nappy rash so is very gentle.

This stuff is fantastic as a hand cream, makes my hands super soft. I highly recommend the brand promote this or even sell it as a hand cream.

Tips: In case of severe diaper rash, use over a medicated cream

More than just a Barrier Creme

I was most excited to trial this particular product in the range as my daughter gets nasty nappy rashes. So to begin with the packaging is really cute and when opened I just fell inlove with the sweet honey scent. Next nappy change and I was straight into it - the texture is like a creamy body butter and its super easy to apply. Unfortunately after 2 days of using this product my daughters nasty teething rash came into full swing and I had to switch to a more medicinal barrier. I was disappointed that I couldnt continue using it. However not all was lost, once I gained control and the raw patches healed over I continued to use it as it boasts “moisturising and healing properties” and it didn’t disappoint. It brought the redness down and babys skin looked less irritated. Initially I lathered it on but in all honesty you dont need much at all and as a bonus Ive discovered that its like an everything balm - hands, elbows, knees etc. I love it. So for a 100g tub at a RRP of $14.40 its definitely worth it.

Tips: Can be used as an all over cream - targeting dry areas (hands, elbows, knees etc) just warm cream in hands and massage onto skin

Honey, it is a winner

I used it as a face mask on my dry areas while on holiday as I had got a little burnt & dry and my skin absorbed it up and felt soft and supple and soothed. I also used it on my daughters red chafing and nappy rash with satisfying results. When I think of a barrier cream I think of petrolium jelly based products like vaseline that just sit on the skin surface this prevents further moisture loss but does not really add any hydration and blocks the skin from breathing and does not provide the skin with any vitamins or nourish it. This Honey Babe Barrier cream is a fantastic option as it is soothing anti inflammatory hydrates ideal for irritated and minor skin conditions. packed with vitamins anti oxidants healing calming gentle anti bacterial anti fungal properties to name just some. It even has anti-aging benifts (rose hip & honey) acne fighting & preventing additives (Calendula & honey) making it ideal for the whole family. It is a multi purpose product the only thing I would be weary about is the coconut oil in it which could lead to break outs with repeated use so I would not use for acne if your break outs are severe & skin is oily. However a little on a sore erupted pimple or will help accelerate healing. Honey Babe Barrier cream could also be used for chafing dermatitis eczema psoriasis and other minor skin conditions and abrasions the cream even has some natural UV protection in it (avocado oil). For a nappy rash cream I know that what is in this cream is really healthy and I would choose it over mineral oil paraffin and petrolium based products for sure. It is worth mentioning that even creams from doctors and pharmacies for treating and preventing nappy rash and other skin irritations listed above often still have nasty toxins & manufactured chemicals in them but this cream does not and because of the carrier oil all the nourishment will penetrate into the deeper skin layers where it is needed most making the younger skin healthier soft supple nourished and it is natural, animal friendly & NZ made the honey is certified to be high quality. The product viscosity is thick so if baby turns it upside down it is not likely to run and spill everywhere. Those babies with allergies & parents that want natural quality should look at the additives in this product it really is good. Many of the additive properties over lap meaning they both can do the same things for so it feels like the product has double advantages. Be sure to check out the rest of the range my best pick is their oil.

Honey bum!

The scent of this barrier cream is a nice, mild honey scent. It's a very smooth, almost vaseline like texture cream, quite different to the nappy creams I have been using recently. You don't need much of this barrier cream because once it's on it does spread quite far. This cream comes in a tub which means you have to put your fingers in each time to get it out, this might not be the most hygenic way of doing it since your mid nappy change when you use it. I would prefer if it was in a squeezy tube. The packaging design is quite nice otherwise and it has a lot of information on it. As a barrier cream I find this works quite well. Because this cream is natural and has Manuka honey in it I am more willing to put this on at every nappy change. I try and avoid having excess product on her skin if I can help it. If my baby is already a little bit red this cream doesn't help her heal as quickly as others I have used but as a barrier cream it does exactly what it should. This barrier cream is made in New Zealand which is a huge drawcard for me. I prefer to buy NZ made skin care by far. The product is 100% natural too, it's something I look for in my own skincare but is especially important in skin care for my baby. This barrier cream is lovely, does what it says and is a good price, definitely something I would repurchase!

Life Saver!

My toddler was getting a bit of nappy rash around his thighs, so we purchased this product with manuka honey, knowing the benefits it has to our health and being a natural product. We applied the barrier cream after bathing at night and also in the morning. Within 24hrs we noticed the rash clearing and our little man alot more comfortable. Thank you Wild Ferns for an outstanding product that we will be continuing to use.
