I picked this up a long time ago in one of the big bucket sales that came to town. I absolutely love the Revlon Balm Stains so I thought anything in this format would probably be great for me. I bought it in a quite vibrant blue based pink colour that is fantastic... But I can't seem to find the name on the packaging. I had a look on the website and I think it might be Rumour has it.
So this packaging seems quite standard for any stick based lip pencil products. It is plastic in the shade of the lip colour (great for knowing which one is which if you had a few). The lid fits securely and you twist up the product from the bottom. It has writing in silver around the outside but that has nearly all come off by now, looks a bit messy but it doesn't really bother me.
The product itself applies really nicely and feels quite creamy and moisturising on the lips. I find that this really stains the lips well so you don't end up needing to reapply nearly as often as you would with a normal lipstick. It feels lovely on the lips and doesn't dry them out at all. It is also really pigmented so you only need to use a couple of swipes to get a good colour build up.
If I needed any more lipsticks (which I don't) more of these would definitely be coming home with me.
I used to think expensive cosmetics were far superior to cheaper brands before BR, but no longer think this way! (Such as this product) It's great to find awesome products that are fraction of the price and Rimmel definitely has some gems, like this lip pencil and their mascaras.
I have this lip pencil in the colour 'redder is better' . It's a fantastic red, no longer am I adding more neutral, or pink shades to my collection- reds are my new favourites. In terms of colour, its the perfect red for me, not too out there, just a toned down red that suits my blonde hair /pale skin...such a classic look.
Rimmel has done well with its design, its in the shape of a crayon/ pen and looks sleek with its red and silver trim. The design reminds me of my favourite Clinique Chubby stick.
I have a few issues with my lips being dry and cracked sometimes. I feel like they lack hydration, so some lipsticks and lip products aren't for me, as they can accentuate the dryness.I have to say I'm really impressed with this formula! It glides on well and it's so easy to use the crayon-shape packaging.
This formula seems to hydrate and lock in moisture to my lips and looks so nice on. This has quickly become one of my favourite lip products. This has left me wanting to try yet more Rimmel products!
if you love Clinique Chubby stick you will love this too, and so will your bank account!
