Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer

Grabbed this along with the matching foundation. Initially I thought it was great but that was short lived.

I noticed it was quite drying on my skin and made fine lines more apparent. I usually purchase concealer to cover dark circles but did not expect to find my skin looking cracked and cakey.

It’s quite light not waxy maybe this is the reasoning.. but despite this it made my skin dry and gave it an appearance of cracked makeup with quite a powdery look.

The colour was good.. it was about one of the most appealing things about this.

But I felt this formula itself after opening didn’t last long - it dried out and caked in the tube after just a few weeks and I felt the tube almost got a colour gradient as the concealer settled in the tube which was not ideal. So I’m not too sure if it’s the brand/quality/age of it but I also found my foundation didn’t last that long either.

The one other bonus would be the price.. only purchase if you can get it cheap enough. I sadly won’t be repurchasing.

Im so on the fence about this one. I have heard SO many people rave about this concealer, but for me it just didn't live up to the expectations. I have dry skin, and it caked on me, it creased and it also didn't cover any of my blemishes, maybe I got a dud? I really wanted to love this but I just can't bring myself to use it again.

The shade I chose came out a bit orangey on me, and I needed to apply quite a lot to conceal my undereye dark circles and lines. Dries quickly, so you need to blend quickly. Good for brightening under the eyes. Handy wand applicator. I will try something else next time because this is not my perfect concealer.

This product did no work well on me. The lightest Color was too dark and this product always creased every time I used it. It dries super quick, so it needs to be blended as soon as it's put on and the coverage is light- medium. I personally think there are better concealers out there.

For a drugstore concealer I thought it was a bit pricey, had heard amazing reviews on the "wake me up" range, this concealer was a letdown. Doesn't cover anything and crumbles and fades within an hour! is good initially for brightening your under eyes. Much better products out there for even cheaper.

I *love* the Rimmel Match Perfection concealer for under my eyes and on any redness, but unfortunately this one hasn't impressed me as much. I only picked it up because I had completely run out of Match Perfection, was at the Warehouse, and they only had this one so I decided to give it a try.

The Good:

-This is illuminating, and doesn't give a "heavy", matte look which is never good under the eyes.

-Great packaging, in my opinion. I like doefoot applicators as you can easily control how much you use.

-Inexpensive, compared to many other "drugstore" concealers.

The Not-So-Good:

-Contains a lot of shimmer. I guess that adds to the whole "illuminating" aspect, but I hate knowing that if I'm standing in direct sunlight, people are going to be able to see my face practically sparkling. It isn't really noticeable at all in some light, but for me at least it definitely is in sunlight.

-Slightly too dark. :( I got the lightest shade which seemed okay when I first applied it, but when it set after a few minutes it oxidised to about a shade darker, which wasn't a good look. I could make it work by heaps of blending if I was wearing foundation, but on a normal day I usually just wear concealer and a bit of blush, so that was a pain for me.

-Sheer coverage. I couldn't build this up to a decent coverage without it creasing instantly, so I had to stick with just the one sheer layer, and it really didn't do much to actually correct the darkness.

All this being said, I know of people who swear by this concealer, and I've read many amazing reviews of it. As with all makeup, some things will work amazingly for some, not so amazingly for others. However, if you have quite fair skin, I would recommend the Match Perfection concealer over this one, if for no other reason than that it runs a lot lighter than this one. A sub-par concealer, really. The coverage is not really there for me, but it is decent enough. This is good for unwanted blue tones, however, I do not use this for my under-eye bags. The reason being is that it creases, and just accentuates my bags. Definitely not the best product for me.

I had heard rave reviews of the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer from a few beauty gurus on Youtube.. That it was a fabulous product, covers super dark circles and it covers so well.. In my opinion it was completely average.

The product itself for the first few goes was pretty good, it had good coverage for a few hours, but after that it did feel pretty weak and didn't last that long. I feel as if this would be better in a tube as you don't get all the product out.. I still have a fair bit right at the bottom and top but it wont come out as the brush is targeted to the middle of the tube.

All in all, alright coverage but nothing to rave about. Wish it was in a squeezy tube rather than with a brush as you don't get all of the product.

I brought this concealer for under my eyes but to also help with with spots as well. I found that it was great with under the eyes and didn't crease at all. However the shade selection isn't great for pale people, I got the lightest shade and it was still quite dark for my skin, however once it was blended in, and foundation is on top, it isn't too noticeable. I did find that it didn't help cover pimples up at all.
