meh

I didn't like it at all really. I found that it clung to parts on my skin and was hard to blend. it didn't look very nice and it was a weird matte finish but came across as really chalky and cakey. It didn't look natural. it cracked on my nose a lot even though it was supposed to stop the dryness. The colour is good when first applied but after a while it seems to oxidize on my skin and goes all gross. It can be worked with and i still use it on my sister but i think there is many better foundations out there.

Holy grail foundation

I have quite a light complexion and have always struggled to find a medium-full coverage foundation that matches my skin tone until I discovered this foundation. I am in the shade 150-Buff and have found it matches me perfectly. This shade is also a great match for me as it has cool undertones.

I got this foundation when Farmers was having a sale as I don't like paying full price for items I am unfamiliar with. I was not disappointed with this foundation as it actually did give me the coverage I was expecting/wanting from it.

I have found that the formula isn't too thick and isn't too runny and it blends out without much effort and it doesn't look cakey. I have found that this foundation is great for looking flawless without much effort. I have found that it lasts on my skin on night without bunging.

I will definitely keep purchasing this foundation as its amazing and I love it.

Tips: I would recommend putting on a primer first as it will help to make the foundation last longer. Also, I would set your foundation with powder so it doesn't move around while you are doing the rest of your makeup and also, the powder will help to make your foundation last longer. Also, try to dab the powder and use as little as possible as you don't wanna look too cakey.

Revlon Colorstay Foundation - Normal/Dry Skin Revi

This is my favourite foundation that lasts all day (judging from my facial cleansing wipes) and is not greasy and I've found the perfect colour for winter and I change the shade slightly in summer. I try and buy when it is on sale but the price is on a par with other well known brands.

Ole reliable

Ive been using revlon colour stay (buff) for 5 years now and just keep repurchasing it! Its a good reliable foundation with decent coverage for day to day wear. I find it difficult to colour match foundations for myself so stick to this one , even mixing it wiith a darker shade can do the trick to get the colour just right. The negative.... it starts to wear off around my chin and nose towards the end of the day and I am not one for touching up foundation in the afternoon.

My HG Department Store Liquid Foundation

This was a great foundation for me to start out and experiment with. I wore this in the shade 'Ivory' but unfortunately it's a little too light for me, and the next colour up 'Buff' is too dark. I'd say it's the best department store foundation you can buy, its staying power is incredible. It provides medium-high coverage and is buildable.

The downside? If applied too heavily can look unnatural and cakey. The biggest negative for me - it clogs my pores and tends to break me out a little. If you were to buy it from Walmart it would be worth its $12USD price tag, but it's not worth its more than double price in NZ.

Tips: Spend a little extra and go for MAC liquid foundation, (I go for NW13) it matches perfectly, is higher coverage and lasts just as long. The quality is superior and it doesn't irritate my skin.

Perfect for my skin!

I have been trying to find a foundation that would suit my sensitive-dry skin without sticking to the dry patches. I read so many good reviews on BR and decided I had to give this foundation a go.

The packaging is sturdy and the pump makes the product easy to get out. I use a brush to apply this foundation and it doesn't leave any streaks or dry patches after applying. On my skin this is a medium coverage foundation, but is definitely buildable. I have a lot of freckles, but I don't like covering them up completely, so this foundation is perfect because it gets rid of my redness but lets my freckles show through. My boyfriend even noticed how nice the foundation was sitting on my skin.

I will be repurchasing this foundation lots more now because it is definitely my go-to!

Really Strong Fragrance

Right off the bat, when I opened the bottle, I noticed it had an extremely powerful smell! I wouldn't go as far and say that it was unpleasant however I would have preferred that it didn't have a smell at all. Once you apply the foundation and let it sit on your face for a while, I noticed that it (the scent) seemed to simmer down then almost disappear after a while.

The foundation was very watery in the bottle and, like many foundations, a little cold when first applied on the face. I got the shade 'Caramel' and slightly regret it as it was way too red-toned for my face and made me look not great, to say the least. I guess that's what I get for buying online!

I like the consistency and the coverage. The foundation has reasonably good coverage and conceals any pimple scarring I may have attained.

I do wish I had the perfect shade for me then I would call this foundation a winner! Maybe I might attempt to put a powder to mattify it a bit slightly - I need to invest in some Stay Matte!

Tips: Blend blend blend! You don't want the foundation to just sit on the skin. Buff it in your skin so it looks like SKIN rather than a full-on mask.

Revlon Colorstay Foundation - Normal/Dry Skin Re

Revlon color stay is one of my favorite foundations. Is packing is okay, it would be good if it had a pump to prevent wastage of foundation. It has a thick consistency. I usually apply with a beauty blender 2 layers which gives me very good coverage.

Ok but not worth the price

People rave about this foundation being a staple in their beauty routine, however I felt pretty neutral about it myself. It doesn't come with a pump so it was very inconvenient to pour it out of the bottle. Unfortunately buff was too light for my nc15 skin, but I did wear this on several occasions out of necessity! The foundation itself was good but not the best I've ever tried, especially for the price you pay for it on New Zealand. If it was $8.99 in New Zealand like it is in America, I might consider buying this again.

Revlon color stay

i accidentally brought the normal/dry skin ,i have oily t zones ,but i don't think it made much different for me ,i still had a bit of the oily t zone .but didn't really faze me i only really use this for going out on special occasions and it does last me quite awhile but not 24 hours ,i found if i used a powder over top ,( i used thin lizzy) and this set the foundation, that i believe it helped lasted longer .i didn't find it heavy at all. this is my go to safe foundation and i love it .The shades of colors go well with my skin especially going from winter to summer.so i'm able to chop and change what suits me for the seasons ,my skin is light medium /medium in winter and goes to like a golden /olive color in summer.

Tips: use a powder over top ,you can do two layers of foundation if it please you ,it depends on where or what i'm doing if i decide to do that .
