A close Shave!

I have used the other razors in this range, and must say that it is much improved. It is a really good close shave and is much more moisturising. If you have dry skin , you'll still need to moisturise on top of this, but generally your skin doesn't feel all dry and scaly , like it does when you usually shave. It smelt nice too. One thing I find frustrating about these, is that the top part of the bar/soap doesn't get used much, but the bottom part wears down quickly.

Great razor - just a little too bulky

I normally only use a razor on my underarms, for my legs I've been using an epilator for years and any hair that does still grow is sparse and fine.

I always tend to use a shaving system for my underarms as I find the blades give a closer shave. I was very excited to trial this particular Schick razor as I haven't used one with a solid surrounding soap/moisture strip.

First off - the razor is easy to assemble, the head simply clicks on to the handle and if you want to remove it, you just squeeze the two side buttons. The handle is a good size, easy and comfortable to hold and a bit less fiddly than the narrow stick of a disposable razor.

It comes with a little holder that you can attach to your shower wall by suction cup and a lid, I guess to keep the razor out of the water when you're not using it. (Nothing worse than a razor gone rusty!)

It felt very alien not using shaving cream, but following the instructions to "gently press down on to wet skin" worked fine! The razor glided smoothly and left a great hairless finish.

My only gripe with this razor is that the size of the head with the soap/moisture surround makes it feel quite bulky to use, you'll have to take it slow and be diligent to shave places like your knee caps and ankles.

All in all though, I liked this razor and would use it again, and would definitely try another Schick system to see if I prefer the less bulky Hydro Silk.

Tips: It's not as easy as a Venus to rinse the build up of hair from the razor head, so after use I would remove the head, turn it upside down and run fast water through the blades to get rid of the fuzzies!

Schick Intuition Pure Nourishment

I'm a bit hum-har about this product. It gave a great, clean shave and I really liked the fact that it had (I presume) a mens shaving blade on it. It felt like it cut a lot closer than my specific female ones. I was really interested and intrigued about the whole moisturising bar around the blade and I have to admit that it made the whole process so much easier than having to apply shaving cream first. I did find though that the bar was a tad too high around the blade so it took quite a few 'strokes' before the blade even touched my skin. What I really didn't like about the razor was that the moisturising strip had soap in it, which in turn made my sensitive skin react. I also think that the price is a bit steep for what you end up getting, though you have that with most shaving systems that area targeted at females (and even males). Overall I wont be hastily going out to buy this again but mainly only because of my skins reaction.

Tips: If you have sensitive skin or skin that can react to soap I would avoid this. Though I didn't break out in any rash my skin got extremely dry, the exact opposite of what this bar is meant to do.

Schick Intuition

I really like the fact the packaging was easy to get into and you smell the coconut and almond upon opening it. I also really liked not having to use soap or shaving cream when shaving, the bar on the blade provides more than enough lather for a very smooth shave. I'm not completely sold on this product as I found it slightly bulky to maneuver due to the size of the handle and found I had to press down a little harder than what I'm used to to get a close shave. All in all tho it's a pretty nifty gadget and I may use again if I find it on special.

I'm not convinced...

There were some really good things about this razor, like the formulation of the moisturising coconut milk and almond oil solid around the blades - it lathers well, smells nice and made my skin feel soft afterwards. I also got a close shave thanks to the four blades. However, I don't think I would bother buying it again. The main reason for this is that the thickness of the moisturising bar seemed to go down really quickly after only two shaves, and I think with a couple more there won't be enough left around the blades, so I'd have to start using body wash again anyway, or else change the blade, which seems excessive after only a few shaves. It's expensive enough without having to change blades every couple of weeks! It's also a huge bulky razor compared to my usual Gillette Venus, which made it feel a bit clunky to hold. And now I'm just being picky, but the colour of the razor isn't the prettiest, it looks like it's trying to be gold but is almost more of a dirty brown/mustard! So, overall I don't think I'd use again, unless perhaps I was travelling and didn't want to have to take body wash with me.

Is this a space shuttle??

When I got this I thought "Whoa!, this is bigger than endeavor" it just looked big and bulky. I had to go try it out straight away of course, and I had a good covering on both my legs and underarms to try it out on. I've used it a few times now and after getting the hang of it I really, really like it. Its the closest shave I've ever had on my underarms and the self lather is fantastic, no more worrying about using soap etc.The size is fine and a really easy to hold handle. It does tend to dry my skin out a little but I do have quite sensitive skin anyhow and its worth it, for the result you get :-) Very happy and will def keep this one on.

Tips: Remember to press down gently when you shave with this, to both release the lather and for the blade to touch the skin. :-)

Cool concept - but I'm not completely sold

I'm more of a wax person now (I don't even own a shaver - that's how committed I am.) But in my short phase of shaving (student days - slightly lazy etc you know) I did try this shaver out, and yeah first thought was "wow this is a booty shaver!" .. at first it was kind of awkward to use... but after that I sort of liked the concept of it... I still found it unnecessary though.

Then when the soap part would run out - I was never sure if I should biff it? (Sorta thought it was a waste)

And once you get passed the novelty soap part its just a plain razor.. better than those orange bulk ones.. but nothing to get excited about. Especially after how much the replacement shaver heads cost.

Fail

Sadly there wasn't much about this product I enjoyed, the outer nourishment bar disappears quite fast and then making it contour your skin is difficult, (good concept but needs work.) I also found I got a little bit of a rash after using it when other razors I use don't :( the size is quite chunky as well, but the packaging it came in was easy to open and I loved the style of it. But sadly I won't be buying this product

Schick moisturising razor

The Schick razor had an amazing smell with the coconut mix its one of my favourites. It lathered well. The only problem is I felt I had to repeat shaving on legs twice to get a close shave as I felt it wasn't shaving close enough. Liked how it has a holder which sticks to the tile shower wall perfectly. Nice and light shaver easy to use and comes with a replacement blade.

Tips: Wet the razor well first and then apply to skin to soften the soap on razor.

That was a close shave!

I used to be a regular user of the Bic shavers, they were disposable and more or less shaved well, but they would often leave my (already dry) skin dryer, after trying the Schick intuition shaver I don't think i'll ever go back! These shavers literally glide over the skin, removing hair completely and leaving the skin so soft, sometimes I don't even need to use moisturizer! The only issue with this razor is the speed at which the moisture bar loses product, unfortunately it does go down rather fast, but turning off the water does help quite a bit! Overall I'm really happy with this shaving system and highly recommend to anyone with dry skin!

Tips: Turn the water off when shaving, it'll reduce the amount of product loss from the shaver bar :)
