OUCH

I let the wax heat for the suggested 20 minutes, it didnt roll out easy so i returned to heat for another 5 minutes. I presumed it would work this time but it was barely melted! trying to remove wax thats not melted enough reallty hurts! it didnt come with very many pads to remove the wax espically when i wasted 3 strips trying to heat the wax properly

Tips: leave it to heat for more like 40 minutes and return to the stand innbetween using it as it will stop it cooling down

Tricky to use

I found this hard to use. It's difficult to get the roller started & putting the wax out. The instructions said it takes 20 minutes to heat up but it's more like 40 mins. It definitely removes hair but i felt it hurts more than normal hot wax & took more of my skin off than others also. The wax strips are not washable as the wax does not wash off in water & I am yet to find replacement strips. Not really a fan.

Almost perfect!

I really wanted to love this product! I have used Veet wax products before and had really great results from them, and was looking forward to using the Veet EasyWax.

First impressions: The roller looks professional and appealing, and has a little stand for it to sit on while you use it, which is really helpful. It comes with 1 wax cartridge, fabric strips, and soothing wipes.

The instructions were very easy to follow. I have waxed my legs before as well as having them done professionally, so I had a fair idea of what to do, but if you are a total wax newbie there is a YouTube video showing how to use the product which I thought was a nice touch.

Using the product: The roller took much longer than the 20 minutes indicated in the instructions to heat up. Probably closer to 45 minutes before I could roll out any of the wax. The wax itself was quite plastic-y, and didn't all come off with the fabric strips. After a while I figured out that it helped to hold the skin REALLY taut, but even then it took a few go-overs to get all the wax off cleanly.

Overall: Despite the initial problems with heating up the roller, I eventually got the hang of it and ended up with a good result. My skin usually goes incredibly red with waxing, and I didn't find that happening at all with the Veet EasyWax. I will definitely be using this product again, and I'd recommend it to people who have waxed before. If you're a total leg wax virgin I would highly recommend watching the video and taking your time to do it properly, but if you've done it (or had it done) before you will find this product really easy to use.

Tips: Wait a bit longer for the roller to heat up. Hold your skin very taut to ensure the wax is removed cleanly. After using 2 strips, stick the wax sides together so you can use them again.

Have to try it again

I let mine heat up for almost an hour but found it did not hold and had to put it on again for another 15min. Nice smooth finish, (and it could just be me) but was just as messy. The wipes supplied were not enough. but is not hard to get more or to invest in baby oil. I think I will give it another go :)

Tips: Let it heat for a LONG time! be patient!

Bye Shaving

I love waxing. I know not the words most people say but its true. I'm addicted to the rush of peeling off my hair and breathing out, thank god I'll be hair free for two weeks. I hated shaving, even though I used quite a nice razor before, I just hated having to shave everyday and then get a little stubbly when the night falls. The promise of hair free for 4 weeks is quite far fetched but it still beats shaving. The time it takes for the device to heat up is close to an hour as opposed to the 20 min is says on the pack. Also they so do not provide enough wax strips and finishing wipes, but I just went and brough thousands of wax strips off ebay for like $2. When waxing I do realise that it doesn't pull off every single hair from the root as sometimes it just pulls off the surface hair which means the results end up the same as shaving for like some parts of your legs. It's a little frustrating but I'm getting better at this business. Overall it's really nice to use and the results do last me a lot longer than shaving.

Tips: Always rip your hair close to the skin as opposed to up and away from the skin. You get more hair out that way

Easy Wax Trial Review

I was luck enough to be picked for the trial for this. As I am a novice at home waxer I was nervous about the pain and also the results but I was surprised how easy it was and with some pain but not a lot for someone like me who has a low pain threshold. The instructions say to heat the wax for about 30mins but I found that it needed to be a bit longer probably about 40 - 45min. The was applies thin and evenly with very little mess which I was impressed with as I was expecting it to be messy. Being a beginner it was very easy to do with good results and little pain so long as you hold the skin taught. I found I could use the strips a couple of times before having to grab a new one. I wouldn't recommend using them more than 3 times in one go. I did find that there wasn't quite enough strips to use for 2 full legs so it will pay to purchase more just in case. The wipes that come with the kit to remove any residue worked well too. Over all I was pleased with this product and probably would use it again. The only thing is the waiting for the wax to heat up as you need to allow yourself a fair amount to time to do everything properly.

Tips: * Make sure you purchase more strips just in case as I found there wasn't quite enough for 2 full legs

* Hold skin taught for less pain when pulling the strips off.

* Make sure hair is longish

* You will probably have to heat the wax for longer than the instructions say.

Veet

I couldn't wait to try this so I went out and bought it from the local supermarket, it was on sale for $29.95. I loved how professional and easy it seemed to use. However it did take quite a long time to heat up, although it did eventually heat up to the right temperature. I tried this on my legs. I found the wax to be very sticky but I guess that's better than not sticking at all. It did pull out most of the hair and didn't leave my skin red. I didn't really like the wax strips it came with as you couldn't really use it twice and I didn't think there were enough in the box. I would have to buy more cotton strips if I wanted to use this again. The wax was a bit difficult to wash off my skin. I haven't reused this as I feel it is rather time consuming and can get a bit messy. I don't like to wait around for the wax to reheat.

Veet easy wax

I was excited to be invited to Try the veet easy wax kit, was cute packaging and very pink.I found instructions easy to follow but wen heating it up i had to wait twice as long as the instructions said and waited nearly an hour for it to be heated properly, but when it came to putting the wax on it didn't roll on as easy as I thought it would have been. I did have a little trouble applying it and had to do it twice to get a good line. I could of done with more of the fabric strips and the wipes they gave you to use to wipe the left over residue I needed more to do the whole leg but it did leave a nice smooth finish much nicer than shaving, you do need to leave yourself a good hour or so to complete this thou. My teenagers are wanting to try this now! I also think for the price of 39.99 it is not bad value.

Tips: Make sure you follow instructions and clean after each use

Hit and miss

I have had a professional wax kit previously but got rid of it cause I didn't use it enough, I found this very similar just without a temp control which is pretty good idea when selling it to so many people as there is less risk of burning by it being bumped. I find it easy to use. I don't think it saves you any money really as you can get waxing done pretty cheap with deals etc. it's more a convenience to me because I find it hard to get into salons. It is a bit tricky to do the back of your legs.

Tips: Have a friend round for a couple of wines and do each other's legs it makes it easier if you can see the way the hair grows in order to pull off in the right direction to get the best results why not throw in a pedicure while your at it :) and make a night of it

Does the job, takes longer than expected, hassle

I was really excited to try this product! As someone with extremely sensitive skin, shaving often leaves me with a bumpy rash no matter the sharpness of the razor or which shaving cream I use. But regular salon waxing can be so expensive. However this product is a bit of a let down from the beginning. The product suggested 20 minutes to heat up to the desired heat but mine certainly took longer- more like 30-40 minutes: I wouldn't be using this product in a rush! Eventually once it was heated up, I got started. The short story is- yes the product works. The wax is a little hard to work with but relatively smooth and as far as pulling hairs out of your legs, it was relatively painless. However, despite the hair being the suggested length, I did have to redo some parts to get it completely hairless; and I have quite thin and sparse hair on my legs. Therefore, it took quite a long time to do the whole leg which started to get a bit painful and tiresome; and with two legs to do I was over it pretty fast. Your skin is likely to be a bit red and tender after- I only got a few ingrown looking hairs which is a plus. However as far as recommending it to a friend? Purchasing again? It is unlikely. No one likes a product which promises one thing (20 minutes) and doesn't deliver. Furthermore, my hair is relatively thin and sparse so I am not sure how well this product would work for people who have a lot more hair to remove. Considering that the product is a bit of an investment to start with and then the refills aren't cheap, I would probably not want to continue using it

Tips: If you are a regular salon waxer, perhaps the money you will save with this will be worth it. However, shavers will find the hassle is not worth it comparative to the results. Also note the results are meant to 'last up to 4 weeks' meaning 4 weeks is probably the maximum. I would estimate only 2 weeks tops but that will differ for everyone
