NYX Professional Makeup Jumbo Eye Pencil Review

I have these in about 10 or so colours. I think they are a great product for so many reasons!

To start with they are super affordable! Less than $12 for a great product is not much at all! I buy mine off makeup.co.nz.

They are packaged in simple white jumbo pencil form. They need are plastic and need to be sharpened when they have run down which is slightly annoying as you need a jumbo sharpener and the plastic is not the easiest to sharpen but its not the end of the world.

Now for the actual product. I love that it is versatile. They can be used in place of a primer as an eye shadow base. They can be used on their own as an eye shadow. They can be used in the tightline and waterline. They can be used as an inner corner highlight. They can be used to smudge out as a top eyeliner. The uses are almost endless.

The product lasts from when you put it on till when you want to take it off. When used as an eyeshadow base it does not crease and keeps the shadows looking great.

This was my first product that I tried from NYX, and I am glad it was.

I love how smooth and easy it is to apply and how it doesn't pull at all...

I tried the milk colour, to brighten my lower lash line while I was foolin around with some makeup, and it is so bright, it is so gorgeous, I really love it.

It did say what it would do... except for the no fading part, it did fade not long after I put it on. im not eniterly sure how long its supposed to last, but I know it shouldn't fade that quick. I still gave it a full vote for doing what it said it would do, because I liked it so much.

I would use this again indeed, I really injoyed using this.... and I like it a lot.

I know I would tell my friends about this, and actually hope they used it for themselves as I enjoyed it a lot.

I have these pencils in milk, black bean, dark brown, french fries, mocha, pots & pans, bronze, gold and pacific blue. I love to use them to create the perfect daytime soft smokey eye & super dramatic looks for going out on the town...the stay put on top of a primer, generally dont need any tidying up. I love how you can use them as a eyeshadow base, on lips or or glitter look on cheeks is cute. I melt mine down and store in little round pots, one pencil lasts me 6 months+.

I love these jumbo pencils, great quality for the price. I love the shade Milk, which I use as a shadow base when wanting super intense colour payoff with my eye shadow. It doesn't crease and is easily blended. The only down side to these is they are really hard to sharpen later and get a sharp point back on the tip of the pencil. I eventually de potted these and use a brush to apply them, which makes it much easier

I love all the things these can be used for, I only have one in the shade milk which I use as an eyeshadow base for bright shadows so that they show up extremely bright and true to colour, I also use this as an eyeliner, while it doesn't stay in the water line for very long it goes on smoothly and very pigmented. I've even used it on my lips mixed with lipsticks before. Highly recommend these! There are also a lot of shades in the range which I intend to purchase more of!

I can not rave about this product enough! It makes such an amazing primer for eyeshadows and the staying power is fantastic. I use NYX jumbo eye pencil in milk everyday. I am known for wearing super bright eyeshadow thats unique and it makes the colours pop!

I have a few of these pencils and I admit I am not a huge fan. I've used these as shadow bases but I've found that they have really a creamy finish which allows the shadow to move about. I've found that I also need to layer and blend when using these and in order to get the intensity I want, I have to layer up quite a but, Not very practical for the impatient! Very affordable and very easy to use. I'll keep the pencils that I have but I won't be repurchasing these.

The Jumbo Eye pencils are a staple in any make up collection! So affordable and tonnes of product so won't need repurchasing too often. I have Milk, Cottage Cheese and Black Bean. They all glide on smoothly, have great pigmentation and easily can be use sparingly as a base for shadows to be used on top.

The few little things that bug me is the lid is really easy to break if pushed on too hard, however if not put on properly it easily falls off, not so great for a make up bag/travel. Also sharpening it can be a bit of a bitch, but for the price I'm willing to make the effort!

I love how versatile it is! You can use it as an eyeliner, in the corners of the eyes, as an eyeshadow or even a shadow base/primer.

It’s also super cheap and affordable, and will last you such a long time, as they are jumbo/chunky crayons.

It’s really pigmented, and so soft! I always have issues with pencils and crayons as I have to drag them across my delicate, wrinkly eye area, but this one no tug or pull is necessary, it takes no energy at all.

I also like that the colour stays in place without any creasing. They do however need a little of a warm up before your first use. Scribbling on your hand before should do the job just fine. The lighter pencils also get dirty really fast around the tip, which is a bit annoying - but again just scribbling on your hand gets rid of it.

Something that annoys me is the tip however. It’s more difficult to use when it’s got a blunt end, and a tip is better to use. Because of it’s jumbo size, and the creaminess, it is difficult to sharpen as you end up just wasting it. It’s also breaks off easily, if you accidentally hit it or something, it will crumble and break off, and you will sit there crying so be careful.

I bought a set of these while I was in Australia. It contains 5-6 pencils so I have lots to choose from! These pencils are a dream. Not only are they JUMBO so they will last forever, but they are extremely affordable. The colour pay off is amazing! And they slide on to my lid like a dream.
