As I love my nails painted at all times, I use a lot of nail polish remover.
I came across these nail polish remover pads in a pharmacy and thought I would try them. I am always worried with nail polish remover I might tip it over or spill it, it is nasty stuff on your surfaces.
These little cotton rounds are nice smelling [not like liquid nail polish remover] and clean your nails well. I usually use two. One cleans the bulk of the polish off and the second one just finishes off. They leave your nails clean and the skin around your nails nourished and they do not dry out your nails or skin.
I love these as they are totally mess free and you cant really spill them.
I was not expecting great things when I recently purchased a tub of these wipes as previously they just seemed to lift the polish off the nail but move it around onto your skin, or if you are clumsy like me your clothes! However when I picked these up I did notice the little label of NEW and IMPROVED formula on the side and seeing as I had no other options to remove the polish at the time I grabbed a pot.
Design wise, these come in a small white pot with a screw on lid, inside there is the small round, thin pads stacked together in their moist state. You need to peel them apart as they are quite saturated, which is why it is super important to correctly and firmly replace the lid once finished as if these pads dry out there will be good for nothing.
Formula wise these are soft, non scratchy, cotton thin rounds, that are soaked in a nail varnish remover solution, there is a slight waxy, oily residue to them so it is handy to have some wet wipes or tissues handy to keep yourself clean and tidy.
I was impressed at how quickly and effectively they removed the bright pink polish that I had on at the time, which was in 2 coats with a gel top coat. One pad successfully removed 2 nails worth without leaving any polish streaks on the nails or bits around the cuticle. However once I had all removed I did use an extra one to just wipe over each nail again to be double sure it was all removed.
The formula used as the nail polish remove that was soaking the pads was gentle, non scented and didn't irritate me at all.
