L'Oreal PRO XXL LIFT MASCARA

Love love this mascara. I have short eyelashes so all the volume a mascara can give me is great. This product has 2 wands, one is for giving a volume and the other one curls the lashes. So with one mascara you get the effect of using 2 mascaras. My eyelashes look long, curly and beautiful. It stays well and doesn't bother my eyes at all. I wear contact lenses and mascaras often give me headache. Haven't experienced with this one yet

I got to review the L'Oreal PRO XXL LIFT MASCARA and what can I say is so good! if you are looking for the look of an eyelash lift this is the mascara for you, is a 2 step mascara , first I use the straight brush for volume secondly I use the curved brush for the lift effect my eyelashes look pretty good and it last long does not feel clumpy which is nice I hate when my eyelashes look like I have lot of product so is a win win for me!

So, I really like this mascara. Consistency is quite thick, but I've always been after the clumpy gal look. Really makes my eyes pop. First step in volumising: really effective, even getting those outer corner lashes. And the second step with the curling: so easy to get those curly lashes. Also found it great for my lower lashes, which are often hard to apply mascara to. Lasts well, all day without any flakiness.

Mascara ‘makes’ the eyes, and I am one who never leaves home without it. L’Oreal has created a great concept – light and/or heavy mascara in one wand. This comes in a delightfully pretty red applicator with two compartments - one at each end - conveniently numbered 1 and 2!

#1 certainly lifts the lashes to give a curled natural black effect without any clumping at all. Lashes look much longer and remain separated. #2 has a curved brush which gives a heavier effect, more colour definition and even extra lift.

Two for the price of one comes to mind. I found #1 was adequate for everyday wear, #2 gave the eyes some more defined lashes for special occasions.

The innovation is great, although what happens when one or other is used up? Still, full marks to L’Oreal, one of these gadgets is a great addition to my own makeup treasures.

The packaging is nice and easy to use, reminds me of the old school mascaras that had primer on one end and the mascara on the other, I like how it "clicks" when you close it to stop it from drying out. It clearly tells you which one to use first as it's marked out by 1 or 2 so very user friendly.

The effect I got was amazing, my lashes were thicker and longer but not sure if you'd say it's more curled than usual as I think the second side is supposed to curl your lashes.

I haven't changed my mascara for many years and usually get a very expensive one as I haven't found anything better but this one is waaaay better and made my lashes look a lot longer and thicker.

It's a bit harder to wash off as it leaves quite a thick residue so I probably wouldn't use it every day but more of an outing mascara where I spend a bit more time taking my make up off.

Definitely my new favourite outing mascara.

I love a two-step mascara, but this one is so different to others. The difference here is in the brushes, not the formula!

So instead of using a 'primer' first and then following with the colour mascara formula, this one you begin with a straight brush to evenly coat the lashes, and then use the curved brush to lift them!

I really found this lifted and curled my lashes, an effect that lasted all day.

No smudging, flakes or transfer and relatively quick to dry.

I confess to think two brushes was a waste of time before using it, but I'm a convert!

I really liked this Mascara. The packaging was bright making it easy to find amongst my things, the product was easy to apply. It did look a little thick and clumpy on the wand which made me a little nervous but it definitely did not look clumpy when applied. It definitely did what it said what it was going to do and disnt smudge when i wiped my eyes.

The only thing that bugged me about this was there was no hygiene seal or outer packaging on the product I recieved. This would make me think twice about purchasing because there would be no guarantee that someone else hadn't tested it in the store.

I was excited to try this new L'Oréal Pro XXL Lift mascara as it promised volume as well as lift - a 2-in-1 mascara that seemed from the outset to offer more than your average mascara. For me, length isn't too much of an issue when it comes to my eyelashes; however, 'volume' and 'lift' are words that quickly capture my attention. And, seeing as this mascara claimed to offer both of these effects, I jumped at the chance to give it a go...

This mascara comes in a sophistocated slim-line box, and the mascara applicator is an attractive, metallic deep-red colour, with black and silver accent colours on it as well. It all looks and feels like a good-quality mascara, which is what I would expect coming from L'Oréal. The mascara is also with infused with pro-keratin, which is a good protein for your lashes, making them healthier and stronger.

It's pretty easy to use - firstly, you apply the volume-amplifying mascara, which is the mascara with the straight brush marked '1' on one end of the applicator. Then you apply the lift mascara, which is the mascara with the curved brush marked '2' at the other end of the applicator. It is indeed a 2-in-1 mascara.

The description used by L'Oréal on their website is that this Pro XXL Lift will give you 'a lifted lash look, lasting up to 24 hours. No clumps, smudges or flakes'. So does their product deliver on these promises?

Well, in my experience, it does - mostly. It provides superb lift and volume and it is also long-lasting. So, no problems there at all. As well as being long-lasting, it doesn't seem to smudge or flake, which is great. Therefore, all of these claims, to me, were completely accurate. The one claim I can't agree with, however, is that it won't clump. When I used it, I noticed clumping straight away. Yes, clumping is reasonably easy to fix, and it doesn't ruin the whole effect that this mascara creates (once you've dealt to the clumping). But it is worth mentioning because a lot of people are keen to avoid clumps when using mascara.

When all is said and done, I'd buy and use this mascara again because it does offer incredible volume and lift in one product. It is also long-lasting and it doesn't smudge. Those are all big ticks, in my opinion. But, it has to be said, it does clump. So, while I would recommend this product overall, I also do need to mention my personal experience with clumps. For me, while clumps are annoying, they're one flaw in an otherwise flawless mascara. So, for all those reasons, I'm giving this product four kisses out of five. It delivers - well - on most of its claims.

The ProXXL comes in a gorgeous double ended red and black ‘tube’ and screamed glam as soon as I laid eyes on it. You would think it would be pretty hard to make mascara seem luxe but L’Oréal have done it. It is meant to be applied using wand number 1 first to lengthen and then wand number 2 to curl. Using the barrel end number 1 with the straight brush is perfect for me for normal wear. Really made lashes look longer. After the first wear of 1 and 2 I stuck to using both 1 and 2 for night wear or when I wanted my lashes to look more dramatic. Using 2 definitely gives some lift but not sure if it stayed all day. I loved the 2 brushes. I have sensitive eyes but this product caused no problems. It was relatively non smudging compared to other mascara I have used. No flakes and clumping minimal. I would definitely purchase this one again

This mascara comes in a pretty black and red tube, it is double ended, one end for thickening and one for lengthening and curling, it’s a nice thick rich black pigment which doesn’t smudge bleed or flake. It dries fast but not too quick and doesn't have a strong scent. Apply side one first then side two over the top. I liked this mascara but didn’t find it lengthened too much but the brushes are nice and it’s easy to apply. It washes off easily with face wash which is great.
