Manicare Makeup Remover Towel Review

First of all, thanks Beauty Review for the trial op!

The product itself is a long pink fluffy cloth, which is very soft. The first thing I noticed about it was that it took a while to feel really wet. After running it under the tap and wringing it out, it still feels dry to touch, but feels damp on your face.

As someone who doesn't wear a lot of makeup, this product was good for getting off most of my makeup however I needed to go over my eyes a couple times to get the mascara off. I feel like if you wore a lot of eye makeup, you may need to use another product to help get it off.

It's a good product to use at the end of the night, rather than makeup remover wipes, especially if you have sensitive skin. I think that this will be good for travel and I will continue to use it.

I received his cute pink soft towel to remove all stubborn makeup.

First of all you had to machine wash it before use to make it more softer but not too sure why. Guess it is like how you should wash new towels first before use so they work better.

Instructions say that to wet one side of the towel and use circular movements to remove stubborn makeup and then use the other side of the towel to get the residual makeup off. It was good to get rid of the normal makeup but did not remove any of my waterproof mascara. I had to use makeup remover solution to do that unfortunately. However when I wore my normal mascara the next day the towel did. Good job.

I was so excited to get another trial from BR! Especially for something that looked like a facecloth but cost close to $20.

The packaging is simple, but does the job of showing you the product, as well as portraying the hefty claims of being able to remove stubborn makeup with just water. To be honest each time I read it I thought that it belonged in an informercial.

The cloth itself is bright pink - perfect for me to find in the shower once I can't see when my glasses are off :P

The cloth itself is very soft, so I can see why it would be great for sensitive skin. I have used this a few times and really I don't know if I'm seeing what the fuss is about. Yes it removes makeup, but is it any better than any other facecloth. I think not. In particular I found it crap at removing eyeliner and mascara... but really I don't know if I expected it to be that good. My main gripe with this product is the fact that really to not breed bacteria you would need to wash this every single day. Personally I am NOT doing washing everyday, and when I can pick up a four pack of faceclothes from KMart for $5 why would I bother spending $20 on one.

One place where I see this towel having great value is the gym. Perfect for your gym bag so that you can take your makeup off before working out, but you don't need to bring extra products to remove your makeup.

The other thing that I liked about this is that it could be the perfect way to remove your makeup before actually cleansing. That way your cleanser that you are spending your hard earned money on actually cleanses your skin rather than just removing makeup.

The inner greeny in me also loves this. No more using makeup removing wipes and chucking them in the bin. This way you have a reusable cloth that isn't just something that you are chucking in the bin everyday. Very cool.

Not a winner for me. But I'm sure people will be able to find a time and a place for it.

I in no way expected this to work so well! It got every bit of my make-up off and I purposefully put on my toughest make-up. I love how soft it is so does not leave my skin feeling sand papered and is so easy to use and I love not having to use unneeded products and the fact that it is reusable is a HUGE plus for me!

It's an oval shaped pink towel. Super soft and fluffy as well. it is recommended that you machine wash it before using which I did.

I have now used this towel for five nights in a row, obviously I like it....alot! It's unbelievably easy to use, simply wet it and wipe your face with one side of the towel. Once your makeup is removed and this will happen very quickly, flip the towel over and wipe your face again. Done! I had no skin irritation afterwards and I personally only had to wipe gently as well.

I hand washed it afterwards which was also simple and hung it on the towel rail to dry for the next evening. Now that it's Friday, it's been put in the washing machine again.

Not only did it remove ALL of my makeup within seconds, it also left my skin feeling and looking clean. I honestly can't believe how quickly it removed 99% of my waterproof mascara, that was the selling point right there for me personally. No more panda eyes or scrubbing for me.

The towel was also fragrance free which I preferred and I would highly recommend it.

The packaging was nice. You could see the towel and it was also easy to open which saves a bit of frustration.

First things first, you must machine wash the towel before first use! It will still work, just incredibly slowly and with a lot of rubbing.

To use you just wet the towel with warm water, squeeze it out a little, and just wipe off your makeup. Pretty straightforward, however this is where things started to go a little awry for me. I had to keep re-wetting my towel ( I didn't want it dripping everywhere so would squeeze the excess but not hugely. It was still quite wet.) and I found it was way too harsh for my eye area, removing a few precious eyelashes in the process.

As for the overall effectiveness, I tried this with both my normal everyday makeup (primer, coloured face powder, eyeshadow, mascara, brow mascara), and with a full face of longwear makeup including Revlon Colourstay foundation. It definitely removed most of it, but when I went in afterwards with a cotton pad and micellar water there was still quite a bit of colouration on the pad.

What I'd suggest is to use this as a type of "pre-cleanse" especially for longwear foundations which are typically harder to remove, and follow up with a good face cleanser.

All you need is warm water and this product removes makeup from your face. It worked really well when I was just using my basic day to day Makeup. I did feel satisfied that it removed everything from my face apart from when I used my double wear foundation and this required more effort and product. As the towel requires washing I felt I couldn't use it as part of daily routine unless you had many. Be perfect when away camping!
