MAC Studio Fix Foundation Fluid SPF 15 Review

It is a good foundation but i found it a little hard to work with and it is soo expensive, can get another brand of half the price.

I liked this foundation even though I'm not a matte kinda girl. It was a nice consistency and was easily blend-able. It had good coverage, easy to build up while not getting cakey.

I was really disappointed when I used this. I have very pale skin & the lady at the counter said this one would be best on me & will give me a bit of colour, but not too much & will look good etc etc. But when I used it the following week, it made me look so orange even though its only the second lightest one they have!! Its oily & even when set with a lighter MAC powder, it looked horrible. Very expensive too, so overall-not a happy camper :-(

MAC is a really good brand but I found that the foundation did not give me very good coverage, I have quite red cheeks and oily skin and I could still see redness after applying a decent ammount of foundation. Once I put Mac powder over top however the coverage is better. Nothing beats moisture mist though!

This foundation is good if you have more oily or normal skin, but for me (dry skin) it wasn't so good. It gave me a nice coverage after I built it up but it broke me out the next day :S I have found cheaper and better foundations out there :)

I love this foundation and got extremely excited when they released some new lighter colours in NW10 + NW13 but I find that whenever I use it, i start breaking out in pimples which sucks because it really is a beautiful creamy foundation that can last all day. Perfect for work! I still recommend the foundation, maybe try and get a sample first or et them to test it on your skin.

I find this foundation has a wonderful finish under a goos skin care routine. However it is NOT an everyday foundation, I wear it when I go out at night or I am feeling a bit down and need a pick me up

After watching a number of video reviews about Mac cosmetics I decided to try some out for myself. I was wanting a foundation that would make my skin look flawless and had staying power.

After getting a colour match I purchased the studio fix fluid foundation in NW20. While in the shop this foundation looked great. After a hour I noticed that It started to change colour, and in fact the foundation was oxidising on my skin. This turned me from looking like I had flawless photo ready skin to a scary looking orange clown. After getting some advice some the girls working at the Mac counter they gave me a primer to try. From the point on I have been in love with this foundation! The staying power is fantastic!

I I really do love this foundation. I have used several in the past, but keep coming back to this one. I really like the texture and the coverage that it gives. I apply with a flat top brush, and make sure I buff it in. I usually use it when I need to wear my make up all day, or on a night out, as its full coverage, and I don't like that everyday. I always use a little bit of setting powder over the top.

I have bought this foundation a few times. It is not one of my favourites as I find the colour that I always gets recommended seems to be a bit orange, especially if you build it up to full coverage. However, I think the foundation itself is quite good and a lot of people I know love it. Maybe I need to not listen to the girls in the store and try a new colour next time..
