MAC Must-Have

I have lusted after these paint pots for sometime and have to say they're worth every penny! I now have Artifact, Bare Study, Groundwork and Painterly.

Artifact is a metallic cranberry shade which I like to use for more dramatic eye looks.

Bare Study is a shimmering pale silver which creates a really nice highlight on the eye. This is perfect for adding that extra touch to an eye look, or I use it on days when I want to look more awake.

Groundwork is easily my favourite so far. I haven't had it long but the midtone brown gives just the right hint of colour to my eyes and it's perfect as a base for a neutral eye look.

Painterly is a skintone beige which may look unimpressive but it's well worth the price tag. This makes a good base for any shadow and is great for evening out the skintone and covering dark marks.

The Paint Pots really are like little pots of creamy, lightweight paint for your eyes. The formula is a smooth cream shadow which blends seamlessly into the skin and dries quickly. I apply this using a finger as I find it helps warms the product before it dries and stops me from picking up too much product. It's very pigmented and you really only need a light swipe of product across the skin to get vibrant colour pay-off. I have oily skin and the colour lasts on me all day without creasing or going patchy.

I have a Maybelline Colour Tattoo in the colour Bad to the Bronze and find this is a very comparable product, although the Paint Pots have a slightly creamier formula. It's a slight difference but I also prefer MAC's packaging which is more minimalist.

I already have more colours lined up that I would like to purchase and think for how little product you use, these would last a very long time and still work out pretty good value.

Tips: Make sure you keep the lids screwed on tight to stop the formula drying out.

Amazing product!

I have soft ochre and painterly pot. Best buy ever!! I use them as eye primer and would never go without them! it enhances eyeshadows like crazy! if you want bolder eyeshadows then this is a must have!!

Tips: Eye primer: I recommend soft ochre for light/medium/tan skin and painterly pot for fair/light skin *make sure to keep product away from direct sunlight and don't leave the pot open for too long, get what you need and immediately screw lid back on to prevent product from drying.

MAC Paint Pot in Vintage Selection

This is a gorgeous shimmery light brown shade that is perfect for a base or by itself. It is one of the few products that never creases on my eyelids, and it lasts me all day. It provides an intense shimmer and colour on me. I've had this product for about a month now and have used it plenty of times and have hardly made a mark on the pot. It is an expensive product at $48 but is really worth the expense. I can't imagine how long this product will last. It comes in a glass jar that I always make sure is well sealed afterwards as I do not want the product to dry out which is my only concern. I am interested in trying more shades in this range and do believe it to be very good value. Other eyes shadow can be used on top, and this provides a great base that will continue to not crease and make the over all product last longer on my eyes.

Tips: Use a clean finger to apply as it is a cream product.

Mac paint pot in painterly

I love my paint pot, I have painterly which is a soft neutral skin shade and I use it as a primer and base pretty much all the time. It gives a good base for my eyeshadow to go on top and stops any creasing. I'm definitely going to be getting some of the colours

SOFT OCHER!!!

This is currently sitting in my no.2 spot for top M.A.C product, I use it everyday, its just a great base, takes away the redness from my eyes, it stops the creasing, it makes the eyeshadows more vibrant, last longer, it just does the job and does it well, i havev had no problems with this and it beats my urban decay primer by a mile. Its creamy and opaque. The paint pot actually last quite a awhile I think i will use it all before it ever dries out. its worth the price.

Tips: If you can find the maybelline color tattoo in just beige thats a great dupe for this but when i went hunting for it all i found was the tester .

Pigmented/10

I only own 2 but thats okay because the 2 i own (Bare study and another one i forgot the name of :3) is so friggen pigmented and you get the best colour on the first layer I love them so much. The only issue I have is the price as in australia it's about $35 a pot...it's worth the money but I wish they were cheaper xD

Changed my makeup game

I actually think buying a paint pot in soft ochre might have been the best purchase I have ever made. This product has seriously changed my makeup game. I am a huge eye shadow fan and like to wear it 5 days a week but I didn't own a good primer before. Then I went and got the soft ochre paint pot. It makes my shadow look so beautiful and it makes it last a long time while preventing creasing. Soft ochre helps cancel out any strange colours showing through on my eyelids and makes my eyes look awake. It could be used on it's own with a liner but I mostly use it as a base for other shadows. I love the packaging and I believe this product will last a long time as I only need a tiny amount. When I eventually run out of it I will definitely be ready purchasing. It is extremely expensive but I have never been dissapointed or regretted buying this product so it's worth every cent.

Tips: Apply with fingers

soft ochre

amazing for oily eyelids! i use this to cover up my veiny eyes and as a eyeshadow base, i dont need to set this as it drys itself and keeps the oil at bay, it makes my eyeshadows blend out so easily and they dont go patchy. It lasts all day and i note my eyeshadow lasts a lot longer than it use to, it is quite a strong yellow colour so i would go for painterly if you have a neutral or pink undertone to your skin

Tips: i wouldn't recommend for pink undertones

Cult Classic Painterly Pot

Firstly, I'll just admit the only reason i got this product is because KathleenLights always talks about it, and uses it when she does her eyeshadow looks which just look flawless, so of course i had to get it.

This wee paint pot is quite simple. It comes in a small glass pottle, with a matte black lid. The lid simply screws off, so the design is pretty basic, but it works perfectly. Since the pottle is made from glass, by simply turning the product upside down you can see the colour of the product. However, when the pottle is sitting upright, you can't tell which colour is it, so if you have a few, it would get confusing.

This paint pot is a beautiful light brown, with a soft pink undertone, and i use it as an eye shadow base. Its completely solid, and has an almost cream texture to it. I simply use a finger for application because i find its the easiest way to do it.

I had reservations because i honestly didn't know if this would look good on darker skin tones, but it does blend out beautifully, and even when i wear it as a eye shadow, it still looks nice.

When i use it as a base for eye shadows, i find the helps the eye shadows last all day so I am really impressed. Plus, people may think it is expensive, but i have been using it a lot, and have hardly made a mark on it, so it is very economical too.

Absolutely Amazing

I have three of these paint pots, and I love them. They provide a solid base for your eyeshadow, and allow you to blend other colours on top. These paint pots are really versatile, and you can build the colour up, to create different looks. They are an amazing texture and really pigmented. They hold their colour very well. I can't wait to get more of these in different colours :)

Tips: I use mine with my Sleek i-divine palette in Storm, to build up the colour and to give extra "life" to my eyeshadow
