MAC Pro Longwear Concealer Review

I wasn't going to buy anything when I went to mac with my friend but this product just fit my skintone so well when the expert brushed in my face so had to buy this one haha :D

Love the texture of the concealer and love the colour but that pumping type just ruins the right amount that I need!!!!! it is hard to pump the right amount!!!!! so sometimes I use it as more of foundation since it pumps out so much. haha other then that, its perfect perfect coverage. it may be bit dry but for me, I use oil before that so it was never dry for me. :)

I have two little glass tubes of this, one in NC20 and the other in NW15. I use the NC 20 for covering up any imperfections on my face and NW 15 is perfect as an under eye concealer or highlighter. This does not crease! Holy crap it doesn't! Creasing has never been a big problem for me but I know heaps of people find its a big problem so I'm just putting it out there. The coverage is lovely, very natural and very long lasting on my skin. The texture is very liquidy that you'll be surprised at how well it cover. Two complaints though. The smell. It smells disgusting, smells like sweat or something, why would anyone want to formulate their concealer to smell like that, beats me. I usually need to hold my nose when applying this. Secondly the pump. It's inconvenient and puts me off from using it on a daily basis because I'm always scared I'll pump out too much (Which usually happens). The fact that the tube is made of glass makes it very prone to breakage so that's a nother con. Overall the concealer itself is great, and even these cons liusted won't stop me from using this

I use this concealer on blemishes and it's perfect! You only need the smallest amount! However it wasn't so good for my dry under eyes! Unfortunately it sinks into my fine lines. The pump is also very annoying as you cannot control the amount of product that comes out so a lot of product goes to waste if you are just using it on the odd pimple. I think this concealer is also reasonably priced and it lasts for a very long time!

It was love at first pump for myself and MACs pro longwear concealer. It gives damn good coverage with a tiny amount of product, yet doesn't look heavy or cakey.

Prior to purchasing MAC pro longwear concealer I had tried a few drugstore concealers, from Maybelline, Loreal and Thin Lizzy. These certainly all concealed, but they did look heavy and cakey. My main concern is undereye darkness and redness on my cheeks and chin. After my latest tube of Thin Lizzy had run out, I decided to try MACs pro longwear concealer, mainly to see what the hype was about, but without particularly high expectations. I slipped it in with a Nordstrom order, so it cost me $25.

The packaging is well, MAC. Sleek and functional. It is glass, so I certainly don't keep it in the bathroom as I can imagine it would break easily. The product is dispensed through a pump, which is hygienic and mess free. The product itself is slightly thicker than foundation, but thinner than the Maybelline and Thin Lizzy concealers. It is creamy and very easy to blend. Somehow this product manages to be both lightweight and full coverage, and that is what sets it apart from other concealers. It covers dark circles, redness and acne scarring with minimal amount of product, but leaves a flawless yet natural finish. It is not heavy or cakey and doesn't add a heavy feel to the skin. This holds its coverage throughout the day and does not crease or oxidise.

This product is totally worth the hype and I will be repurchasing.

Firstly I absolutely love the coverage and colour! I use NW15 and find just a little bit covers dark circles & blemishes like a dream and blends out amazingly pretty much leaving my flaws erased. I haven't had and issues with creasing or it becoming patchy during the day though I do set my entire face with a translucent powder as part of my daily routine due to my t-zone becoming a bit oily. the packaging is a great idea, it's small and sleek but the pump has room for improvement- I find it difficult to get a half pump out so sometimes I'm left with a bit of waste which is unfortunate.

I'm actually in love with this concealer but confused about how to describe the way I love this . I find this concealer really good I use it as a foundation as well because the coverage is unbelievable it's really high priced/ expensive but it works. Really works I used it when I was battling acne and rosacea it really does work if you are trying to hide that. I say it's better than the foundation but yeah other people have their opinion on this.

I bought this to try as I'd never found a concealer thick enough to cover my undereye circles. What surprised me about this was the consistency of the product. I found it really thick and creamy and a little went a long way. It lasted all day without any creasing. I used the Mac prep and prime and Estée Lauder double wear foundation and all products worked well together to get that flawless finish.

I used it to highlight also and it worked great. Just to add some definition around the Cupid's bow.

Great product, will be repurchasing when I run out!

I was excited to try this concealer after reading so much hype.

The MAC lady said to buy one lighter than my foundation which I did. I found it great to brighten my under eye and for highlighting. The product didn't sink into the lines or crease which I was stoked about. It lasted me all day too.

In terms of concealing the rest of my skin I didn't particularly like using it for that. Because it was a lighter shade it really drew attention to such areas.

I was a bit mad at myself for not purchasing another one in the same shade as my foundation, as I think that'll be more fitting for concealing scars etc.

I purchased this direct from the US Mac website (using Youshop to get it to NZ) after hearing so many rave reviews about this product. I wasn't particularly hopeful as I always find concealers are either not high coverage enough, look dry on my under eye or settle into my fine lines and I have had many hyped up products disappoint me. This pleasantly surprised me and really lived up to the hype!

I have very fair skin and dark under eye circles and this is the best thing I have found so far at concealing them. I purchased the wrong shade initially, but ended up with NW15 which is a good match for me.

The packaging is nice looking and I love that is comes with a pump, but, I'm a little worried about breaking the tube as it is thin glass (and I'm clumsy and have seen horrific pictures online of broken ones). The pump also dispenses far to much product, which is a bit of a pain as this is an expensive product and I hate wasting it.

I found this covered my dark circles well, is high coverage, lasted the entire day without creasing and maintained a nice looking finish. It is a relatively liquid concealer and is super easy to blend into the skin and foundation seamlessly. I like that it is creamy as for someone like me with dry skin it leaves a much better finish than some drier concealers. It does however smell a bit like paint, but, I only notice this initially not while wearing the product.

I will definitely be repurchasing this and would recommend it to all. I really didn't think it would live up to the hype, but, it does! It is expensive compared to most concealers, but, it lasts a while and really is worth it as it does the job like no other!

This is the only concealer I use around my eye area simply because I think its the best! The shade range means there is something for every skin tone, and the formula is amazing. I have always had a problem with concealer creasing under my eye, but this product just doesn't. It is a creamy, pigmented, and easy to blend formula. I could not live without this product and I believe its a fair price because the bottle lasts ages and a tiny bit blends out a lot! My only negative is I dislike the pump as it is hard to get a small amount of product out.
