Great products.

Recently I have become determined to use products that are free from obvious harmful ingredients, such as Fragrance, artificial colours, parabens, avobenzone, oxybenzone etc, as I have sensitive, eczema prone skin. I was thrilled to be invited to review these products! The Toleriane Duo was very nice to use - the Eye Contour was a lotion-type texture, very hydrating and easy to apply. The Moisturiser was a richer texture and it glided over my face, creating a nice barrier over the eye cream. The two textures went together well in my opinion.

My skin is dry, flaky around the lips, with a little redness and eczema. The Toleriane Duo didn’t aggravate my skin whatsoever (no sting, moisturised immediately even with a little amount) I would happily use this product again. As the trial period is quite short I couldn’t comment on their effects on fine lines.

Tips: Moisturiser - Two pumps were enough for my face and neck.

Great team!

i got picked to trial this, was very excited!

I have very horrible skin, all kinds of issues including adult acne, eczema, dry and sometimes oily skin. in a nut shell its all over the place. so as you could imagine its very hard finding products that work with all of my issues

Love the bottles they come in, so easy to use. you don't need very much to cover the eyes and face. after using both products for about a week i have noticed that the puffy around my eyes has started to go down a little. and my skin is very soft. The best part about this duo is it hasn't irritated my skin (anymore than it already is) its only been a week, so most of my issues are still there, but my dry skin is gone which is amazing for me. these work really well together giving an all over softness to the face neck and eyes

i will have to keep testing it to see how i go

Tips: little goes a long way

Smoothest my under eyes have ever been

I have used a couple of la Roche-posay products prior to this review; and really enjoyed them! Their effaclear face wash is my holy grail so I was interested in seeing what a mainly ‘one brand’ routine would look like for me.

Both of these products as part of their ‘ultra sensitive skin‘ line have no fragrance to them, and a nice ‘medicinal’ look to their packaging - think luxe laboratory/fancy spa styles. I like that they are both in a pump bottle, not sticking your fingers in to a whole jar is always quite nice!

Eye cream - 20ml. A little definitely goes a long way with this, think half of a pea sized dot between your two eyes. I used a little too much a couple of times and did notice when rubbing my eyes later in the day, that I could feel some product that was sitting on my skin had balled up with me rubbing. I have noticed that my under eye area is more ‘plump’ and not as bumpy after a week of applying every morning (and some evenings). I tap this in gently on my under eye area and under my eyebrows with my ring finger. No complaints and has not irritated my skin at all, I haven’t noticed any changes with wrinkles/crows feet as it hasn’t been long enough and I don’t really have too many of them either.

Moisturiser - 40ml. This moisturiser is a little intense for me, as I have a very oily tzone. So I have been using this in the evening as a night cream, which has been working well for me - I have noticed a difference in the dryer areas around my hairline, which are responding well to a thicker moisturiser. I’ve also used this on my hands where I have some quite dry patches that I usually use steroid cream on, and it has helped with softening them and didn’t cause any additional irritation to the area.

These products seem to interact well with (as hey should) my La Roche-Posay face wash and hydrated my skin beautifully after cleansing. I will definitely consider purchasing the eye cream again when it runs out, however I am a little lazy, and would prefer to only have one face moisturiser so probably will not buy the full face moisturiser when it runs out.

Tips: Less is more! If you have an oily in the centre/dry on the outside face like me use the moisturiser as a night cream and really focus the attention on the perimeter of your face.

La Roche-Posay® duo

I was lucky enough to be chosen to trial this skincare brand. This is not a skincare brand I had heard of before, so I was curious to try it.

La Roche-Posay is a French brand that is made in France. The main language on the bottles is French, but there are English directions written on the back of the bottles, and on the boxes they come in.

The bottles and the boxes are both white with black lettering and blue accents. The eye contour comes in a clear white pump bottle, and the cream inside is white. The bottle is 20ml. Likewise, the cream comes in a clear white pump bottle, and the cream inside is white. The bottle is 40ml.

The creams are designed for very sensitive, easily irritated and allergic skin. The creams are preservative-free, paraben-free, fragrance-free, alcohol-free, colorant-free and lanolin-free. My eyes and skin are very sensitive and easily irritated. Both creams lived up to their promise and did not irritate my skin. They have no discernible scent, and are easy to pump out of the bottles. They absorb well and are non-greasy. They both feel very gentle on my skin.

I think these are a great option if you are looking for higher end skin products that do not irritate your skin.

Toleriane Duo Review

I have only recently heard of La Roche-Posay and was excited to try the Toleriane Duo.

I loved how the packaging was minimalist, and each bottle had a twist lock cap - no need for an additional plastic lid and awesome for travel. The product felt rich and didn’t have a overpowering smell which some products tend to have.

With this product a little goes a long way, which makes it great value for money. Using the eye cream left my eyes feeling well hydrated all day, and after a few days I started to notice a visible positive difference in the skin around my eyes. The face cream was not oily, and left my skin feeling healthy.

My only beef with these products was how much info in various languages they cram on the packaging - it makes it hard for those with visual issues to read!

Hit & Miss

I love the pump applicator on both the ultra & eye contour bottles. Both are very easy to use & bottles are lightweight, making them travel-friendly.

The Toleriane Moisturiser helped with my redness and dry patches and I noticed how my skin feels dewy moments after application. However, there’s also a strange scent to it which I am not a fan of.

The eye contour, on the other hand, doesn’t really work for me. I have not noticed any difference to my skin upon using it daily.

Price for both is on the mid-expensive range. I’d rather settle for a a more affordable brand that delivers the same quality.

So-so

I didn't see any benefit from using the 2 products together especially since you can use the moisturiser on the eye contour also.

The moisturiser is too greasy to wear as a day cream but it is very hydrating.

The eye cream is soothing and smoothing but unless you have sensitive skin I don't think you need to spend your money on this duo.

Sensitive skin saviour

I have sensitive skin and it can be a right pain. I cannot use the same moisturiser or face products for too long because one day I will go to put it on and bam, my face suddenly hates it. I even reacted to micellar water, it's supposed to have next to no ingredients and be good for sensitive skin but nope, it basically burnt my face off. I was excited to get on the trial team for these products because it sounded like a bit of what my skin needs. I swapped out my normal moisturiser and eye cream during this trial and carried on as usual otherwise with my skincare routine. The eye cream is quite thick and rich and I found one pump to be too much. You really only need a tiny bit to cover the area. the moisturiser has almost a whipped texture once it comes out of the bottle and is quite pleasant to apply. I didn't get the usual breakout from changing products which was a relief. When they say these products have no fragrance they are correct, they have basically no detectable smell so would be perfect if that's something your skin reacts to. Both bottles have a twist-to-lock feature which I like because if you are travelling with them you don't waste any product making sure they are fully closed. The bottles are plastic and to be honest for the price of the products lets them down a bit. I did read on their website that it's ultra-hermetic packaging so it does kind of make sense now. In good news my face did not react to the products and they did what you expect from an eye cream and moisturiser. The only downside was that one or both of these products have made my forehead excessively oily. I have an oily t-zone if I'm not careful with my routine but this was next level. While these are good for my skin on a sensitive skin level I don't think the formula suited what my skin needs.

Tips: You only need a tiny amount, not even one pump of the eye cream!

La Roche-Posay® Toleriane Eye and face cream

These two beauties probably have the best packaging i have seen in a long time. Sure its not pretty or eye catchy but the fact that it is effectively a plastic bag in a tube means no air can get anywhere near the product! Which means hardly any nasties in this formula.

Paired together these two products work hand in hand to deliver a great skincare system. The formulas are non greasy and absorb quickly with no residue.

The face cream can be used around the eye contour area as well which doubles its purpose.

The products work great under makeup and also as part of your night time routine.

A little pricey for the average consumer but if you want to treat your sensitive skin these products are the choice for you.

Just another moisturiser

I tried these together, I found the eyecream firmed upy eyes and minimised my wrinkles after applying and made me look awake and fresh! I found the moisturiser a bit lack lustre while it didn't cause any adverse effects it didn't really improve my skin either just another moisturiser in my books.
