I really like this hair dye, it actually covers my grey hairs, of which there are a number. It's a little more pricey, but I think its worth it for the longer lasting dye. The colors are what you'd expect from the line, every day colors, but I like that. Overall it's a dye I'd recommend.

Since Covid I have become an expert colourist along with many others.
When it comes to a lasting permanent colour, this would be one of my top picks.
Like most hair colour kits it comes with the colour creme and developer, a small bottle of conditioner and massive gloves.
I personally use my own gloves and collect the conditioners to refill my pump conditioner bottle.
But in terms of the colour it’s a fairly natural looking colour, it doesn’t usually irritate the skin and with regrowth can last about 5 weeks.
It is one of the more expensive options, but on a good special well worth the extra investment.
I have dyed my hair for over 20 years so it's safe to say I'm an expert at it lol. I've tried probably every single dye on the market. I picked this one up from the Chemist Warehouse a few months ago, it was on special for around $18.
I have shoulder length hair and 1 box was more than enough for me. I got the shade Mahogany Brown. I never use the gloves that come with dyes, they are always giant and ridiculous. I recommend buying a box of latex gloves so you always have some on hand.
It's pretty standard, mix together and apply. I found it easy to cover all my hair and it didn't drip at all. I let it sit for 45 minutes then washed out. I love the conditioner that comes with it, smells devine and isn't in one of those silly, fiddly sachets!
My hair felt really nice upon drying. It was super soft and shiny, didn't feel damaged at all. All my greys were covered and it looked even. As for the colour, it was OK but I wouldn't select that shade again as it was not as dark as I was wanting. Overall though it's a lovely dye which I will buy again.
I always had my hair coloured at the hairdressers but decided to cut costs by colouring my own hair and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to do and the results are just as good as going to the hairdressers. I also found that when I had my hair coloured at the hairdressers i was allergic to the colour they used so i had to take antihistamines but using this product for the first I have no reaction at all. Very impressed with the Loreal product and ease of use.
The product works really well, and the range of colors is amazing! i live by these for lightening/ombreing my hair. Only issue is that I think they're slightly pricey, and I only buy them on sale. The smell is truly not that bad, and easily tolerable considering all its plus points!
This is one of the very few home hair colours I've used that actually covers my greys( around 30 %) I find it super hydrating and it leaves my hair soft and shiny, the aftercare conditioner is devine also. The only reason it only gave it 4 stars is that the colour i usually use does eventually fade and leave a slightly brassy tone which im not a fan of.
This kit comes with all you need to colour your hair at home and safe some money than going to the hairdressers.
this is by far the best diy hair colour. It doesn't fade into that orange/brassy colour we all hate so much. It does seem to dry my hair, but not as much as the other brands ive used. its one of the more expensive at home hair colours but id prefer to spend the extra bit if cash.
I have used this in black for many years - it is one of the few jet blacks on the market that has slightly warm undertones and doesn't give my hair that slightly blue sheen. Lovely conditioning treatment comes with the colour too. Leaves the hair feeling and smelling luxurious afterwards, one of the better brands in terms of not leaving my hair feeling straw-like. Only downfall for me is my super thick hair requires two packets and sometimes almost three at it's longest so this is not an affordable option for me and it is almost more cost effective for me to have it done in a salon than to use this product. Touchups not so bad as I can get away with just the one box but the initial all over colouring outlay is not worth it for me.
Tips: Great product if you only need to use one box at a time!
I love this hair dye. I use 9.1 to touch up my roots and the grey coverage is fantastic. It's also great at subtly lightening my hair which is a dark blonde/auburn at the moment. The ash tones calm my red/orange tones nicely without completely wiping all warmth. My greys aren't completely covered but instead come out looking like lighter blonde highlights, which I like because the regrowth is then less obvious to a block of dark colour. I take this product through to my ends for the last 15 minutes or so just to even the colour up and give me hair some extra shine. The conditioner that comes with the colour is beautiful and leaves your hair so soft and shiny. There's enough in the bottle for about 3 conditioning treatments for my chin length hair.
The colour doesn't tend to fade or wash out too much and my hair is left feeling lovely and soft, with a nice amount of shine and bounce to it.
It's probably the best colour I've found available in the supermarket, and the colour range is fantastic.
Tips: Often on sale at countdown.
