Saved me from a hair disaster!

I have actually recently bought this - and it saved me! I had a hair disaster with a box dye, so i tried to strip it myself using the Vitamin C tablet and shampoo home remedy which is all over the internet - big mistake! My hair was dry, tangled and felt awful. I went to the pharmacy to buy this mask - and I can tell you it definitely saved my hair. After 4-5 uses my hair was feeling back to normal, softer and shinier than before! It was under $15 which is a great price, and smells absolutely lush. I just shampoo'd as normal and used this in place of a regular conditioner, and left on for 10 minutes whilst I was showering. Super impressed with this.

Tips: Leave on for just that little bit longer than it says to.... treat yourself!

Mask it up

This mask is fantastic for rejuvenating dry, frizzy hair. You can use it in a number of ways. I like to put it into my hair when it is wet and then dry it (naturally or with a hair dryer). It gives added heat protection and leaves your hair feeling super smooth. It has a strong but delicious smell.

Tips: As it is a mask - this stuff is super thick. You do not need much at all. If you apply too much it will weigh down your hair. Also make sure you only apply it to your ends. If you want something lighter, I recommend the leave-in-conditioner in this same range.

wonderful product for curls

This mask will define your curls, keep frizz at bay, and keep your hair really soft and moisturised. It also gives your hair that extra shine, and gives it that sweet coconut scent (which I love.) This honestly works the same if not better than any of the high end hair masks I’ve used, and it’s very widely available. I was pleasantly surprised with this.

Tips: If you have thicker, frizzier hair like me, you’re really going to need to apply a lot of this to make sure you get the best results possible. I would also recommend you use a brush or comb to make sure the product is evenly distributed all throughout your hair.

A must try 👌

You're not going to be sorry trying this mask on your hair. It will give your curls definition, and styled hair life! it's light if used correctly, It's a great go to, inexpensive treatment for any hair type, especially for hair that has heat damage, it works magically.

You'll get shine, volume, very soft and delicious looking hair. A salon treatment done from the comfort of your own home and a smell that stays in for days even if you use a styling tool which normally leaves a heat smell in your hair.

Tips: 1- Use as directed, if you've got fine hair you dont need to drench your hair with this. 2. Use a shower cap after application and let it sit for a bit especially if you've got very damaged hair.

3- Definitely have this handy for beach and pool days and apply after.

Awesome mask for shiny soft hair!!

I have only used a few hair masks in the past but this one is so good! It is quite a thick consistency almost like normal conditioner but thicker. It applies good and it spreads well if you run your fingers through your hair to help it spread. It does have a coconut smell. The packaging is a small round plastic tub and is great as you can get your whole hand in it to get the product out with ease, and the lid is easy to put back on with one hand. This has made my hair so soft and shiny, it has been great. I have definitely been converted to a hair mask kind of person.

Tips: I would probably recommend using this mask maybe once a week. I personally put it on and let it sink into my hair for a while before washing my hair.

Great to nourish dry hair

I'm hair mask obsessed. With colouring and styling - hair masks are my 'must have'.

This Mask was a win for me in the regime, particularly used as a deep conditioning treatment in shower & also as a leave-in treatment.

I used it a few ways, some worked better than others. I still ponder the packaging statement ‘1001 uses'.

You get a really big tub of hair mask, which is fantastic, and the lid is an easy open/shut for use in the shower! No water gets in! The coconut scent is divine. Definitely stronger in scent than the shampoo/conditioner.

I used this a few, but not 1001 ways. I used it a few times as an Overnight mask. This is really lovely when you put it on, and comb it through. A beautiful scent, and quite relaxing. It then begins to dry and becomes a little crunchy but then you fall asleep and forget. By morning, you have a pretty crazy hair style happening if you haven’t tied it up – or can’t tie it up, like me! Rinsing it out you question whether you should shampoo as it feels like beautifully conditioned hair. If you have fine hair, I don’t recommend skipping shampooing – I did this the first time, and had quite oily hair that day. So definitely shampoo and condition like normal (as they recommend). I found my hair definitely felt like I’d added a boost of nourishment and had a little extra smoothness happening. I was happy – the frizz was less frizzy and the dry ends seemed more cooperative with styling! I also tried this as a Leave-In conditioner, which I really liked! I was cautious with this because having fine hair, and adding 'conditioner' to leave in aren't usually too compatible, but this mask surprisingly worked really well. I only needed to put the teeny tiniest amount of mask through towel dried hair but it did add a little extra nourishment and softness which I liked. I could skip the hair oil if I used the mask as a leave-in. The mask and hair oil together were a bit much for my fine hair.

My favourite use for this mask was just as an extra conditioning treatment in the shower in the mornings. I’d towel dry my hair, leave it in for 5 minutes and rinse, and my hair felt amazing.

Finally, because the instructions said it was an option, I used it as a finishing balm after I’d styled. For this, you definitely need only a smudge of product, rubbed through hands first. Definitely tamed the frizz and settled the fly-aways, with a boost of shine, but with my fine hair it tended to look overly oily shiny! Not the winner of the 1001 uses. Ranking the uses of this mask - favourite to least, it would go #1 In shower conditioning treatment #2 Leave-in conditioner #3 Overnight hair mask #4 Finishing Balm (wouldn't recommend for fine hair!)

Love this mask for my dry fine hair. It definitely returns my locks to a healthier softer zone. A little extra healthy shine - but I'd like more, but that is the challenge of dry hair! I'd purchase this again - when it finally runs out. Great bang for buck!

Tips: If you have the time, this is fabulous applied on towel dried hair, and then pop a shower cap on, and leave it on a good hour!

Intense coconut treatment

Loving this range to review. Great size packaging once again and sits nicely in the shower for ease of use. Im a little unsure what the 1001 uses for the mask will be but im sure i can think of a few. My main use of masks is after using both the shampoo and conditioner i get the excess water out of my hair and layer on the mask, its a similar consistency to the conditioner but not as thick and creamy, i comb this through and then i think i might try it on my legs as a shaving cream. Now thats two of the 1001 uses :) Brilliant shaving cream!! Nice moisturised legs! After a while i rinse the mask off my hair and once dry its lovely and soft and feels quite lightweight and moisturised. Definitely keen to try it again and i have a few times, ive also used it to style my dry hair although i found it a bit weird to be honest but i think i just used too much so will try that again. Its quite nice as a overnight hair mask but my tip for that is to use a old pillowcase as it leaves a bit of a greasy mark - comes off after washing thou no problems. All in all i love this entire range and the coconut scent just tips it off. Thanks Beauty Review :)

Lovely Mask

The L'Oreal Elvive Coconut Oil mask comes in the usual mask tub. I'm not sure why this shape and size was universally decided to be the 'mask tub' - it lets in water in the shower and is actually really hard to open with wet hands.

Thankfully once passed the annoying packaging, the product is really quite lovely. It has the same incredible scent as the other products in the range - so coconut-ty and delicious.

So the mask claims to be a 1001 use mask...it lists 3 on the pack. Here's how I used it:

1. Deep conditioning treatment. I applied to shampooed hair, slipped on a shower cap and left it on for 20 minutes or so. My hair was very soft and felt really healthy. It looked shiny.

2. Leave-in treatment. It worried me doing this! I used the tinest amount and applied to towel tried hair in lieu of the oil. My hair felt tacky so I opted to never to that again!

3. The overnight mask was an odd thing to do! I applied a small amount to dry hair, tied it up and slept on a towel. After showering in the morning my hair felt really nice, but no nicer than the 20 minute deep conditioning.

I think the price is reasonable, and as a deep conditioner the mask really does work well - but as for 1001 uses? Meh, bit of a sales ploy me thinks!

Amazing Mask

I was excited to see this mask with the matching shampoo and conditioner in my trial. I love hair masks and my favourite all-time mask is the L’Oreal Extraordinary Oil Hair Masque, so I anticipated this one would also be fabulous.

The packaging is nice - a white pot with a brown lid, which is easy to unscrew to access the thick white product. I’d be just as happy with a bottle though, so I don’t have to dig into the container to get the product out. The scent is the same as the shampoo and conditioner - coconutty and gorgeous.

It claims to be deeply nourishing with no weigh down for incredibly soft and free flowing hair. Interesting it has directions for a pre-shampoo, including as an overnight mask for deep nutrition. And it also has the directions for after shampooing, and also as a leave-in conditioner. That’s a lot of great uses for one hair mask. I apply it after shampooing and conditioning then let it sit in my hair for 10 minutes or so to let it do its work. I only use a small amount each time and massage it in to get an even coverage through my hair. I haven’t tried it as an overnight mask yet, but I will. Nor have I tried to leave it in – I’ll do that when I don’t have work the next day just in case it leaves my hair greasy.

My hair feels great after using it, very soft and hydrated. As the product claims, my hair feels weightless, but it still manages not to be frizzy – which is usually an issue for my fine hair.

I love it, but I think the original is slightly better! I note it is $11.19, and you can’t say fairer than that for a great and very versatile mask.

Tips: Use with the matching shampoo and conditioner. I'll add some comments about using it as an overnight, or leave-in conditioner after I've tried using it those ways.

Just another mask, but it smells sooo good!

This mask had a great consistency and was easy to scoop out from the tub. Although the packaging said 1001 uses, I could only think of 2. A mask, or an alternative to the Extraordinary Oil Conditioner. It does make it seem like a miracle product, but to me, it was just another treatment. I alternated with the Mask and Conditioner after shampooing and I didn't notice any difference between the 2. Same conditioning effect, just a little more time consuming with the mask. The packaging recommended leaving it on for 2-3 minutes while showering (or overnight) so it wasn't super convenient if you were short on time and still needed to style your hair afterwards. The mask itself is quite thick and didn't feel at all oily. Although unless your hair is really dry, I wouldn't use it as an overnight mask. My hair felt more oily than conditioned when I left it in for too long. I found that I got the best results from leaving it in for 30 minutes then rinsing it out. My hair definitely felt soft and smooth, but I'm not sure if it's quite worth the extra time and effort. But perfect for a home spa day.
