I borrowed this hair dryer a few times from a hairdresser friend of mine. She'd owned it for awhile and we both came to the same conclusion - while this hair dryer is lightweight and powerful, it doesn't necessarily do the job any better than some of its cheaper counterparts. For the price, I was pretty much expecting tiny angels to emerge and dry my hair with the breeze from their magical wings...But instead, I just got a strong, hot, gale force wind. Pretty much like any other hair dryer out there.
It did dry my hair a fraction faster than a lesser-brand model, but left my locks feeling a bit parched. I felt like I needed the cool shot function to bring myself down to a normal temperature.
Long story short, this is the kinda hair dryer you fall in love with because of its sexy good looks and buy to brag to your friends about..but in the end, you realise the more affordable, less pretentious version further down the aisle at Briscoes is actually the one for you.
I've had a Goldair hair dryer for many years and wanted to have something newer and faster. Well blow my socks off this dryer is fantastic! It comes with a diffuser and a narrow nozzle for styling. My hair is naturally thick and wavy and medium length. This dryer comes with two heat settings which are warmer than my other dryer, it also has a cold setting that sets your style. The instructions give reference to a true cold shot however it does not have the separate button so I'm guessing they are referring to the setting, though for me this isn't of great importance. My drying time is so much quicker and it does deliver in providing a salon finish with sleek and shiny hair and not brittle. I can style my hair with ease in either a straight or scrunched style. This works really well for long thick hair like my daughters. I like that it has been made in Italy and also has a five year warranty so you know that you're purchasing a quality product. Love the red colour too!
Tips: Buy this from Farmers when it's half price you won't be disappointed.
