Good as Gold!

picked up the L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Smooth Intense Conditioner in the recent Beauty Review Beauty Vault along with the matching shampoo as I'm convinced there must be a range out there that is cheap and perfect for my hair. This actually comes pretty close! I prefer the conditioner to the shampoo and will definitely repurchase this exact product in the future, but look at other shampoo options.

The conditioner comes in a bronzed plastic bottle that isn't something that would automatically appeal from the shelf as a conditioner because it looks more like a fake tan bottle to me! I do like the swirly gold logos and the clarity of the product labelling though.

The conditioner itself is liquid form and a quite nice gold/orange shade. It has a non-distinctive, 'typical' scent that is pleasant. The conditioner moves easily through hair and - while it doesn't appear to be overly hydrating at the time - is deceptively efficient at making sure hair has moisture and smoothness. The product washes out cleanly.

I have noticed that since using this conditioner my hair brushes out more easily, and dries to a less frizzy, more smooth finish.

I recommend this conditioner to you! You can often pick the range up in the supermarket for around the $5/$6 mark and it's a LOT better than similar products from different ranges in a higher price bracket. I'll be keen to check out other ranges from this brand.

Creamy Conditioner

I purchased this in the beauty vault with the shampoo and was pretty keen to try it, especially as it contains Argan oil, and I am always on the look-out for a good conditioner. I have dry, damaged hair and constantly deal with frizz and flyaways.

It comes in an orange plastic bottle with a flip top, easy to open and use. The product is lovely and creamy with a beautiful scent.

On application it is soft and glides through hair like silk. I loved the creamy feel of it. It rinsed out easily and didn’t leave any heaviness, stickiness or build up.

My hair feels soft and smooth after drying, blow dries nice and smooth, and after regular use certainly seems to have reduced frizziness. Like the shampoo it claims to nourish and tame, with lasting smoothness, and I believe it meets these claims. It also says it has thermal protection, and I noticed my hair didn’t feel dry after blow drying, on single occasions, nor after several days in a row. It continues to stay soft and silky overnight and is still smooth in the morning.

I would purchase it again and I do recommend it to others to try, particularly for dry hair.

At around $9 I think it is a great product for the price.

Tips: Use with the matching shampoo for best results.

Does the job

I received this to trial in a Black Box and was pretty excited as I'm always interested in trying products that claim to give me smooth locks. I have damaged, coloured hair that tends to get oily roots and dry lengths, and while it's naturally straight it does get it's fair share of frizz and flyaways.

I used this in conjunction with the matching shampoo and like that it has a nice, salon-quality fragrance which isn't really distinctive making it hard to otherwise describe! The packaging is simple, an orange functional plastic squeeze bottle that's easy to use and store.

The formula of the conditioner is a white lotion which is slightly creamy but not overly so. I applied it to my lengths and ends, avoiding my roots as they tend towards the oily side. After rinsing and drying my hair, I was prepared to be blown away by the 'smooth intense'-ness of my hair. Unfortunately the results were underwhelming, I didn't notice any difference between this and other conditioners I have tried at all. The morning after washing it at night and my hair still had the tell-tale signs of frizz and while soft enough, wasn't anything to write home about.

This is a good, standard conditioner which does the job but I wasn't really impressed me and for the price it is I wouldn't repurchase it full price although I may purchase on special.

Good supermarket brand

It's so hard to review a conditioner when you've just reviewed the matching shampoo but here goes.

I was gifted this set of shampoo and conditioner and have to say I like them quite a bit but would not consider changing from my current regime of either Sorbet or salon brands.

These bottles are easy to use in the shower and fit nicely in your hand but as I mentioned before I do not like the orange colour of them.

The conditioner is a lot thicker than the shampoo and I imagine as you near the half way mark you'll have to shake the bottle and bang it a lot to get the product out. I like that it's thicker than the shampoo though, it's probably psychological but I feel like it's more conditioning if it's thicker.

Again - the smell of this is just not for me, there's nothing fresh or funky about it at all.

In conjunction with the shampoo, I find it does a good job of taming my frizz compared to other supermarket brands I've tried. Nor does it irritate my scalp which is a bonus and which is why I don't normally use a supermarket product.

All in all these are good products but I don't feel compelled to go out and repurchase due to the smell.

Does a great job

I love this conditioner. It is creamy and thick, smells delicious and makes my hair feel great. I love the bottle design too that means you use the last drop (having the lid on the bottom).

Tips: I put heaps on my ends and mid-lenghths, then slick the last bit over my whole head, then pin up with a claw-clip while I'm showering and it feels like I've had a hair mask.

my knid of conditioner

amazing for me, as it did what it said on the bottle, for my hair. used with the shampoo, it had brilliant end result. after i dried my hair, it felt soo soft, light, smooth to touch. i had a lot less frizz which was really good to see a product come through. Clearly it did what it promises. Before i was using other products to control my frizz and fly aways, now i use a lot less alternate products for the frizz. I feel it was with the added argan oil extra addition. Having the thermo protection in it is a bonus, so i do not have to add my own when blow drying or straightening my hair

Tips: leave in for longer for a mini conditioning treatment

L'Oreal Shampoo and Conditioner Anti Frizz

It is so hard for me to find a shampoo and conditioner that actually work great on my hair. My hair is really stubborn, this shampoo and conditioner used to be so bad for my hair and then just last week, it has been the best thing for my hair. My hair changes the shampoos and conditioners all the time making it so difficult for me to consistently buy the same shampoo and conditioner. At first when i tried it, my hair felt stripped of all the essential oils that it needed so i stopped using it, then last week it was the only shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom so i used it and my hair felt so good after i used it. My hair truely felt so soft and nourishing it was just so good!

Luxurious quality for an inexpensive price

This conditioner is one that I’ve been using on and off for the last couple of years, along with the matching shampoo. I have long, super thick hair, which tends to get quite dry/fluffy on the outer layer. It’s not particularly damaged, as I’ve never coloured it and rarely use heat on it, but it does lack natural shine and smoothness.

I really like the packaging for this range. This conditioner comes in an opaque golden-yellow bottle, which stands up on its lid – super handy for getting every last drop of product out.

The actual conditioner is creamy, slightly yellow, and has a very thick consistency. I usually use a generous coin-sized amount , and a little goes a long way which is nice. It has the same scent as the shampoo: warm and slightly citrusy, and overall very salon-esque and ‘expensive’, in my opinion. It definitely leaves my hair smelling lovely, although it doesn’t linger around for ages once it’s dried.

This conditioner works really well. It leaves my hair smooth and tangle-free when I get out of the shower, and once dry it’s smooth and somewhat shiny. It doesn’t completely eliminate frizz – some things (like the weather) cause that no matter what, but it does reduce it a huge amount. I can get away with two to three days in between washes when I use this shampoo and conditioner, so it doesn’t make my hair unduly greasy.

I really love this range, and I will definitely be repurchasing (again) in the future. I like to switch up my shampoos and conditioners so I don’t get bored, but this is a reliable and budget-friendly option that I know I can trust.

Tips: Use with the matching serum for super smooth, glossy results! x

Disappointingly greasy

I bought this with great expectations, especially since it contains Argan Oil. I have frizzy, coarse hair and dry ends. Yet, after a couple of months of use, it has not been the best product for my hair. The creamy consistency is nice and the product smells good. However, even though I am careful not to apply this to my roots and only the ends, and not to apply too much, I still end up with greasy hair and build up. I have used the Arginine Resist version, and it is far better in terms of leaving your hair feeling great and non-greasy.

Tips: For seriously dry hair only

So In Love, Part 2

Hehehe! Read my first review under the shampoo before you read this to make some sense out of what I am saying.....

Okay, so I'm not going to revise everything I just said under the shampoo tab, but I will explain the effects of the conditioner - the things that make it unique, etc.

The bottle is the same type as the shampoo's, but the only difference being (and in my opinion something they - and all other companies can improve on) the bottle is orange, it's not see through, you can't see how much is left in the bottle like you can with the shampoo.

WHY YOU DO THIS L'OREAL??

I love the texture of the conditioner and I think it would look so good in a transparent bottle!! The conditioner is orange, with traces of argan oil in between. I love how it looks!

It smells so much better than the shampoo, but I don't really have a word to describe how it smells. Definitely not orange-y as the shampoo.

I love how from the moment you apply it you can start to feel it working. It instantly detangles my hair, and it makes the stubborn tangles so easy to just pull apart with my hands. When I leave my hair to curl I don't brush it at all as it takes my curl away, boo.... So I often go a couple (like four) days without brushing it and with other conditioners it's so hard to get the tangles out without hurting myself.

It leaves my hair so smooth, intensely smooth! Apt name. It really, along with the shampoo (and serum if you want to) works a charm in taming my frizzy mane.

If you don't believe in this shampoo and conditioner yet, you should just go out and buy it and see for yourself, because I can promise you it's worth it.

It's so, so worth it.

I don't remember the last time I have loved shampoo and conditioner as much as I love this!
