Certainly not for ALL hair types

I was sceptical when I read on the bottles, Suitable for All Hair types, as I usually use products for dry/damaged hair. Unfortunately my hair was left frizzy, dry and plain ugly after using this :( Will pass it on to my hubby to use :)

Tips: Not for All hair types, as stated on the bottles.

For the curly haired girls

First off I should say that it has taken me 6 years to find a shampoo that keeps my hair in actual curls and not turning it into a fuzzy mess. This shampoo disappointed me from the start. I first washed my hair with a small amount (as it says on the bottle) but it barely cleaned my hair and I had to cover my entire hand in shampoo for it to wash my hair. This meant that already I'd used up a third of the bottle. And for let's say $15 a bottle (half the RRP) I want to use the shampoo more than three times. When my hair dried it was clean but it had taken the definitive curl out of my hair. It was like Hermione in Philosopher's Stone. But this was to be expected from a shampoo that claims to be for all hair types. Like I said, it's incredibly difficult to find a good shampoo for curly hair. I also used the conditioner which I originally thought I wouldn't have a lot to talk about (isn't all conditioner the same?) but when my hair dried, not only was it bushy it was very dry. I found myself thinking that my hair looked better when I needed to wash it. It had its curl and at least it wasn't dry as old newspaper.

I wouldn't use this again, but mainly because its not made for curly hair, dryness could have been fixed with using some more conditioner maybe, but I need a shampoo that will be good to my hair.

Tips: Maybe good for people with straight or short hair

Linden Leaves Shampoo & Conditioner

Overall average. The shampoo smelt alot like my toilet cleaner (not a bad smell but almost disinfectant-like) however I loved the smell of the conditioner. The bottles are not very pliable making it a bit hard to get the product out. The shampoo does not lather very much, so I had to use quite a large amount making it not very cost effective. I don't believe in spending a huge amount of money on shampoo and conditioner as I have found that the supermarket brand I use gives me the same results as the expensive salon brands, so I wouldn't buy this product in the future.

Tips: Leave the conditioner to soak into your hair for 1-2 minutes for soft, tangle free hair.

Linden Leaves Shampoo and Conditioner

I was very lucky to score this in the very first vault. At the time I was in search of more natural, organic SLS-free shampoos and conditioners. The label says has 0% parabens, sodium lauryl sulphate and mineral oil. So I was ecstatic to add this to my collection of shampoos and conditioners. The bottles look a bit high end with the labels. However when I checked the label in the back the shampoo isn't mostly natural or completely sulphate free and the conditioner had even fewer natural ingredients in it. The scent of the shampoo is a herbal scent and you can smell the rosemary and cypress oils, it's a very unisex scent. It's rather thick and lathers pretty well. My hair gets that squeeky, clean feel and my scalp is refreshed afterwards but long, ends up rather tangled. The product is also a bit thick and slightly difficult to get out of the hole in the flip top, especially after the product dries and blocks the hole and I had the same problem with the conditioner. The conditioner has this nice refreshing scent I can't smell the mint so much but I can smell a hint of tangerine but that's pretty much where my love of this product ends. This conditioner didn't do much for my hair especially after the shampoo tangled it up. I found it didn't moisturize much even when I over applied it to the lengths of my hair. It did work well on my scalp though and was refreshing. Given that my hair didn't respond well to this set, I ended up given it away. I'm glad I scored these in the vault because if I had bought these I would've considered it a waste as I've had better results with some cheaper shampoo and conditioners. Also my hair doesn't last as long between washes if I use this in comparison to other brands and this seems to dry it out. I would recommend this however for guys and people with short hair, especially since the scent is very unisex.

Tips: A good set for guys but I wouldn't recommend this for long hair.

Linden leaves shampoo and conditioner!

Hello all! This is my first review and i'm going to be reviewing the linden leaves shampoo and conditioner.

Firstly let me tell you a little bit about the condition of my hair, i'm unnaturally white blonde with red streaks through it. So when looking for shampoo and conditioner I need something nourishing and of course value for money. The shampoo and conditioners major pro's are that they smell beautiful, particularly the conditioner its like drowning yourself in mandarin juice! Yum yum! so for anyone who loves fruity essences this one is an absolute winner!

So both claim to be great for coloured hair, however although they smell beautiful and refreshing. I'm afraid to say it did little to 'boost' the overall colour of my hair. I allowed my hair to dry naturally and I didn't feel as if it felt like anything special. For some reason I also did not particularly like the consistency of the shampoo, it almost reminded me of hotel shampoo! Also I found a little did not go a long way, really had to work it into the hair to make the shampoo lather up beautifully.

So for some people like myself i am a packaging freak! The packing helps me determine my purchase, it has to be eye catching and instantly tell me what i'm in for. The packaging was a let down for me...I know it is available at pharmacies and too be honest it almost reminded me of 'T-GEL' shampoo packaging. Just a little bit dull for my taste! Although perhaps the packaging does scream out to consumers that it is a pharmacy brand. If the set is niche to pharmacies it does have that kind of medicinal feel about it. But for me that is not what I look for with product appearance and packaging, there was just nothing too special about it... disappointing! However I loved how it stated on the packaging 'paraben free', so no nasty ingredients with negative connotations. This is always and important aspect for me when buying any product from shampoo, to skin care.

As far as the RRP being $30.00 I would not pay this, it is definitely not worth the price. Compared to other brands I have used there is nothing overly distinguishing about the products. Typically I use Salon brands like 'sebastion' just because I am so conscious about caring for my hair because it is so blonde at the moment. And too be honest I thought maybe I was a little biased towards the shampoo before I even tried it. However I was lucky enough to be sent the TRESEMME split ends remedy shampoo and conditioner set and I adore this! That definitely trumps the linden leaves!

So to sum up my review, its an OK product, as far as going out of my way to purchase I wouldn't. But if I received it as a gift from someone I would use it, or I would use it to tide me over if I ran out of my normal hair care.

Tips: When using any shampoo I always repeat the shampooing stage twice. The first time I shampoo I just count this as really getting the first lot of pollutants and any dirt residue away from the hair. Also you tend to notice the shampoo does not lather as much when shampooing the first time. By shampooing twice you get to judge it's lathering abilities more on the second go. This product needed slightly more shampoo to be used than I like. However the conditioner was a beautiful consistency, I just made sure I applied a generous amount to my hair and worked a comb through the ends. Also remember to give the conditioner the benefit of the doubt. Allow it to soak into the hair for between 2-5 minutes and let it do it's magic ;)

Nice but doesn't justify the price

I liked the packaging of this product with the colourful natural photos and clearly stating that it doesn't have any nasty chemicals in it. I would prefer a upside down bottle so its easier for getting the product out when u get towards the end. I really liked the smell of both. The products worked well enough but I didn't feel any addictional benefits that i dont get from any ordinary shampoo. I felt the retail price is far too high... and thats what mostly would prevent me from buying this product in the future.

Tips: Shampoo twice so that you get the full benefits of the product and remember to rince hair with luke warm water.... not hot which will damage the hair shaft

Not for me

I found the smell very strong. The smell was like as though I had poured a bottle of essential oils on my head. I had to use a lot more of the product than my regular shampoo and conditioner. Having long hair I would probably go through a bottle of this shampoo and conditioner in two weeks washing my hair every 2-3 days. This also wouldn't be an economical buy for me either. However I do like that this product is natural and free of sulphate which is perfect for those who chemically straighten their hair. I also love that it feels nice and light on my hair.

Tips: Towel dry hair before using conditioner so the hair can absorb more moisture.

Linden Leaves Shampoo & Conditioner

I love the smell, very organic. The conditioner smells like lemon grass, which we used to use it as a shampoo long time ago. They dont give my hair any different from my usual Loreal shampoo and conditioner. But they weight down my hair so i only used twice then i have to back to my old shampoo. But my husband loves them.

Thick shampoo, runny conditioner

I received these as part of a gift set and took them away travelling with me, as they were a very decent size (100ml each). The products were not what I expected – the shampoo was very thick, with an almost jelly-like texture, while the conditioner was very runny. It was the opposite of most other shampoo-conditioner pairings. The screw tops meant that it was hard to control how much product came out, which was frustrating. The shampoo did not foam well and I needed to use lots to get a decent lather. It did smell nice though – I loved the unusual scent, great to see some variation in the market. The conditioner did not do much for my hair but again I enjoyed the unusual scent.

I wouldn’t purchase again due to the formulation being a bit off and the price, which I find too expensive for what it is.

On The Fence

I love natural beauty products so was really excited to be chosen to review this natural shampoo and conditioner. I found the packaging to be very pretty and fresh and I liked the idea that it had no nasty chemicals in it that can strip your hair of it's oils. Unfortunately the smell was not for me, I found it to be really strong in both the shampoo and the conditioner. I also felt that I needed to use quite a lot of product on my hair for it to spread easily and form a lather (I do need to add that I have very long hair). Once my hair was dry I found it to be very clean and the smell toned down which I was pleased about. I think I would use this shampoo and conditioner again if I wanted to give my hair a rest from all the other products I use but I have to be honest and say that I do prefer my usual shamppo and conditioner. I think that this product is very over priced as well.

Tips: Use a little bit extra product for longer hair
