L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Smooth Intense Shampoo Review

I like the bottle design, they stay standing in my shower and upside down which means not having to shake and tap the bottle when getting to the end. I found the formula was great not too runny or too thick and very easy to rub through evenly. Didn't notice less frizz first couple of washes but did by the 3rd - the first couple of washes my hair was so smooth it seemed to be more frizzy but by the 3rd time using it i had a nice balance of smooth, less frizzy hair. I have medium to long length hair and found I only needed to use a small amount so love that I'm getting more washes than usual out of the shampoo.

For a shampoo that you can purchase in a supermarket this this shampoo rates rather highly. Although it was nothing amazing, it still did what it said it would and made my hair smooth. However, I didn't eradicated my frizz as well as the bottle claimed. I really like the packaging as the gold looks classy and expensive. The smell is nothing special and I think could be worked on. Overall, a good shampoo.

I tried out this product with a different conditioner and then with the matching one to see if they worked better together and I did notice a lot more of a difference, I have really frizzy hair and it did tone it down more then a standard shampoo and my hair wasn't as knotty as it usually is. it also smells amazing, all in all for the price and being a super market product is a good easy go to.

I confess I was a bit sceptical when I started using this product. First use I wasn't that pleased but I kept using it and actually now quite like it. I played around to test it out. Styling product/ no styling product, blow drying vs air drying etc so I could figure out how it worked and whether I liked it.

The packaging is quite good. Reasonably sturdy; I have dropped the bottle a couple of times and it's held up well. The product doesn't seem to have much of a smell, which I like. I have very fine, curly hair and this product does help keep the frizz down. It still cleans thoroughly and effectively. I don't think it has left any build up on my hair. Bang for buck I think this is a good product.

I took this product with me on my trip to Brazil. The change of weather from NZ to Brazil did take a toll on my hair, by leaving it feeling VERY dry and frizzy. Come on.. who wants frizzy huge hair in they're holiday photos? By using this, combined with the conditioner I found that my holiday photos were all good hair days!

Pros: 1 - Leaves my hair smelling amazing all day. 2 - Tames the beast of frizziness hair that I have unfortunately been blessed with.

Cons: 1 - Aggravated my scalp. 2 - Found that it didn't really cleanse and clean my hair as good as other shampoos have in the past.

After using this product just once I definitely saw and felt a difference in my hair. It felt a lot softer and more fuller. And looked a lot more shiny and smooth! If it didn't aggravate my scalp so much I would definitely keep using it!

I have tried so many shampoos from supermarket, department stores through to Hair Salons over the years and this stuff ranks high up there!

I think its also very interesting that it is made in France with a lot of shampoos made in Asia. This to me shows me that they do care about quality vs price.

The shampoo itself is very thick and I found it hard to lather so I needed to use a fair bit to get dispersed through my super thick hair. The conditioner was a little bit runny so would last me awhile.

Even whilst wet my hair felt nourished and soft. Once dry my hair was noticeably softer and a small improvement in frizz. Compared to salon anti frizz products this shampoo is up there. However the reduction in frizz seems to only last 12-24 hours.

I am not in love with the fragrance but it is nice and not overpowering.

I was very excited to try the L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Smooth Intense Shampoo after LOVING the Smooth Intense Conditioner, and I must say that I am pretty pleased with it! Although it wasn't quite as enjoyable to use or effective as the conditioner, I still think this is a good product and I'll definitely use it all up!

The packaging is GREAT, especially for someone like me who hates having to squeeze product out of badly designed haircare bottles. The cute design makes it super easy to squeeze out just the right amount of product.

I found the scent of this shampoo much less fragrant and striking as the conditioner, but it smells fine and quite nondescript. It lathers up really well, and leaves your hair feeling super clean afterwards.

My only scruple is that it didn't really help my hair become any smoother or less frizzy, and for this reason I wouldn't recommend it to a friend. However, I personally was in desperate need of a good, cleansing shampoo that would leave my hair feeling super clean - and this totally did the job! So ultimately am pretty pleased with this one.

I picked this bottle up in the last beauty vault. I had just run out of my current shampoo and I needed a replacement. My hair type is dry from straightening and colouring. What got my interest was that it claims to help dry hair. So when I got this I was very happy to try this out.

These golden bottles come in small but decent sized bottles. The formula of this is like any normal shampoo. Looks like golden honey in a bottle. This scent reminds me of a mild musky tones. It feels like liquid soap.

When I apply this to my hair it lathers up well. I need a decent sized amount to use because my hair is so thick and damaged. I like to follow this up with a conditioner. I like to wash my hair twice a week with this or more dependent on what I am doing.

My hair felt very clean after use. I didn't experience a heavy oily feel like others I have tried. I noticed my hair is shiny but my ends were still dry. I think it is affordable when it is on sale. I would definitely use it again. Its working good so far.

I have been using L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Shampoo & Conditioner for the past week and a bit, and i must admit it hasnt overly let me down. While the shampoo is a clear liquid, it definitely contains a lot of oils and I find it has a slightly heavy feeling. Don’t take that as a bad thing, as it’s really not meant for my hair type. Even so, I’ve continued using it as it makes my hair look very sleek and shiny. I honestly believe it would be best for frizzy, flyaway dry hair types. In my case (fine, straight hair that constantly gets oily) I need to freshen my roots with dry shampoo after I style it for it to not look too limp.The conditioner is great for nourishing and taming my drier ends – it reminds me more of a treatment mask than a conditioner. Lastly, they smell is just amazing. The Extraordinary oil scent is a slightly soapy floral, which strikes a perfect balance between fresh and perfumed which lasts all day.

I put this product to the test by going out in humid, wet weather. After using this product, matched with the conditioner, after 8 days I thought I would see some fantastic results...well not so much, Frizz, frizz, frizz. I also used a heat styling anti-frizz spray when styling and my hair still went frizzy. The shampoo packaging and liquid looks great but the product just didn't do it for my hair.
