I brought this in Burgandy.
I am fair with freckles and naturally light brown with red reflecks in my hair.
I tend to colour my hair reds/dark reds or violets.
I wanted to get away from my usual red hair, soemtimes it would turn an orange tinge when it came time to recolouring.
so I opted for a burgandy thinking I'd have a violet tinge to my hair...
NO!!! It went black :(
I almost cried. Black on me looks extremely wrong. I looked sick and pale and just urgh. Especially without makeup!
Once it toned down , which took a few weeks it was ok. Better than the freshly coloured freak out.
It does cover greys and has an even colour result tho.
My hair was super damaged after colouring either.
I wouldn't use this colour again as I don't like the super dark colour it goes.
But you must always remember colour on colour goes darker.
Maybe I had left it on too long?
I would purchase a dark red from this range :)
I love this hair colour, so much so that I always have a back up supply tucked away incase I can't find it (only a few places sell it in NZ) right now I have 6 boxes of it in the cupboard so I won't run out. It is always affordable, easy to apply, doesn't destroy my hair, isn't too stinky/ have those chemically burn your eyes type of fumes and doesn't particularly stain my skin and if you get any stains from this they usually wash off within a day which most colourings will take a week or so for me to fade away (I always use the darkest shades), the best part for me about this colouring is the shade is the perfect super deep blackest brown (my shade Soft Black) which doesn't look un-natural for my skintone as jet black does and has some warm undertones/hints of brown tones in the sunlight. I have been using this 3 years now and use a box each month or so to touch up the roots. Sometimes it is on sale for $5-6 so I stock up when I can. Definitely the best blackest brown hair colour I have ever found and I just love the after colour conditioner that comes with the pack - it smells divine and reminds me of the Revlon Outrageous hair product line which got discontinued in the early 00's!
