Iced Cocoa for my Pacific Island Hair

Casting Crème Gloss is a no ammonia hair colourant. This is the first time a home dye matches perfectly with my dark hair which was a pleasant surprise. For the last 10 or years I have never been able to buy a product that matches. I have very thick long Pacific Island dark brown hair which is very coarse. I went for the Iced Cocoa as I thought it sounded yummy! I use dye as I am 39yrs and am going grey at a fast rate. The 1 bottle was enough to complete my whole hair. So far the L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss has done everything it says. Have only done 4 washes but am please that there is still shine and colour. I was amazed after using to find that I did in fact still have shimmering, rich & luscious colour hair as a result.....my sister actually thought I had been to the hairdressers. It is advertised as being - - blends away greys - gives a shimmering, rich & luscious colour result. - a super glossy shine. - colour that lasts up to 28 shampoos. It is easy to use and is minus that horrid chemical smell and did not drip everywhere. Further washes didn't have any amount of dye washed out either. No stinging to my scalp or eyes. Am overall delighted with this product and colour.

L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss

I found L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss very good! It made my hair feel soft and it was very shiny The color - Black Ginger is deep and rich, it has awesome high lights and I would definitely use it again. The packaging shows true to color photos and it has very good directions about how to use it. I have used Castings before but I would say this is my favorite color! AAA+++

L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss

So ive waited a week because i wanted to get a full idea of how the dye works because lets face it ladies the first few days its amazing then it cam go pretty gross and dry, ive had to buy my own dye since the lovely postal office decided not to send me mine on time and im greatful i brought it and tried it!! Ive been trying to go from dyed dark brown to blonde and ive totally hit blonde!!! Without the rock hard ends because its dried out my hair smelt amazing and i still had conditioner for the next few days as i only used a small amount!!! I AM IN LOVE!!!!

Tips: Put vaseline on your hair line and ears to prevent dye running down your forehead and on your ears as it can be hard taking it off and if your roots are really bad always start with them and then the rest of your hair i know it says it on the pack but it is really important or youl end up with patches!!!!

Great smell and colour

Upon receiving the product I was a little hesitant as I haven't had great success with colouring my hair at home. I did the test and no reaction - great start. I applied the product to the letter as I wanted to have success. It was easier to mix, and apply to my hair. I noticed immediately that there was a pleasant smell to the product both inside the bottles and on my hair. In the past the strong chemical smell has been very off putting. The time given seemed to be lesser than others I have tried. Once applied I sat back and let it do its magic. I have some grey hair so was keen to see if it blended it. The final result was a deeper dark brown colour, lots of shine, blending of greys and a great overall look of healthy hair. I totally recommend this product.

Tips: When I next use it I will keep it on a little longer than 5 minutes (for grey hair) to getter a better take of colour on the grey (but only 2-3 minutes longer)

Pleasantly surprised!

When I decided to do this review I had no remaining faith in home hair dye. I can now say that faith is renewed with this product.

Opening it up it had the usual 3 bottles of stuff gloves and instruction manual. Mixing the colourant and developer together I realised immediately that this product was going to be different to all the other box dye jobs. The colourant tube was short and fat making it easy to squirt ever drop out and the smell!!!! No more strong overpowering eye watering toxic smell. I was so pleased that through out the process it smelled, dare I say it, good. Almost fruity. My friend however did find it tricky to put the gloves on ~ my one and only complaint ~ as they were far too small for their rather smallish hands so I'd hate to try and do this solo without any other gloves available. Anyway once the dying was done there was no obvious staining on my skin and found it very accommodating that the developer time was only 20minutes. However as my hair is quite long it took awhile to get to the waiting stage and as such my colour has come out darker than desired but that is definitly a user fault. Another thing I loved was the larger than normal conditioning bottle that was provided. This has lasted me 4 washes and it would of been more if I wasn't so gun ho with it. In my showers that have followed only one had a small amount of colour wash out which I expected with the very first shower the following day but have had no problem since and after a week my hair still looks like it was done the day before. In past at home dyes with big name brands, I've had weeks of visible wash out in the shower and faced over bearing smells long developing time not enough conditioner and short lived shine and colour I am so happy that this product, in my opinion, has delivered on all its promises. My hair looks bold, shiny, healthy and sexy!

Beautiful Brownie

I loved how easy the L'oreal Casting Creme Gloss was to apply, the time it took was shorter than other hair colouring products so that for me was a huge bonus! It was easy to use & to apply. The result was better than expected, gave full coverage, bold colouring and instant shine I will definitley use this again!!

loved it

I am in love with this product, I regularly die my hair and the smell is always so horrible and I usually have to sit outside when I wait but not with this, it doesn't have the among a smell so I was safe to stay inside while it developed, which is also a lot shorter than I usually have to wait (25mins) I chose the chocolare shade and I am in love the color is so rich and with the conditioner that comes with it my hair was nice and silky after I rinsed not coppery like it usually is from dyeing. Instructions were easy enough to read and understand too. Overall I love this product and would definitely recommend it to others. Especially first timers.

P.S I love the gloves as the are smaller so much easy to hold things and spread the dye, I used to have to buy gloves especially for dyeing my hair but not with this product.

Tips: Use a Vaseline or moisturizer around your face neck and ears to prevent staining

Great Lasting Power!

This semi-permanent hair colour really did do what it said it would do. I used this 2 weeks ago and it is still as fresh and bright as it was the day I applied it.

It has lovely highlights and lowlights, it looks incredible in the sun. Its so shiny! I wash my hair every 2nd day and I can honestly say it still looks fab.

The application was really easy and it has a pleasant scent to it. The conditioner that comes with it is really thick and smells yummy and they did not skimp out on this, the bottle is rather large and I managed to get 4 uses out of it which is great.

I did have 2 minor problems with this product tho, 1st I had was the gloves, they were really small and was quite a struggle to put them on without ripping them! 2nd is the packaging, as soon as I took it out of the courier bag all the products fell out of the packaging as the box didn't have any tape holding it together or anything like that, so if purchasing from a shop I would be inclined to check inside the box first just in case some of the items have fallen out.

To sum up I would definitely use this product again as I really like the high and lowlights to it and it gives a salon finish in my opinion.

Tips: Use Vaseline around your forehead and ears to stop the colour from staining your skin.

L'Oreal Casting Ceme Gloss

This product was fantastic. I tried the Colour 500 - Medium brown. It was really easy to mix and apply to my hair. I have shoulder length hair and it talk about 15 minutes to apply. The waiting time was 20 minutes, it rinsed out really easily. There was a really nice conditioner for my hair after I rinsed it out. In fact there was enough conditioner left over to use a few more times. And it smelt great. My hair looks great, really shiny and healthy. And a rich brown colour. I coloured my hair on 31/12/14 and I have had to wash it every day as I have been swimming every day. It still looks really good. I would definitely use this product again and I would recommend it to my friends.

Tips: On tip I have is don't throw the unused conditioner out. You can use it anytime to add conditioner and shine.

L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss - Caramel

I have always coloured my hair at home, fortunately without fail. I have tried a couple of colours in this particular range, but I decided to try the nice caramel colour as I didn't want to darken my Hair I just needed to put some life back into since it's been 6ish months since I've coloured it. I was quite disappointed with the size of the gloves, they were quite a tight fit so I wouldn't be able to use them if I had hands slightly bigger. The colour was easy and straightforward to mix together and apply. I loved that te processing time was only 20 minutes rather than 40, it wAshed off easy in the shower unlike some colours that take ages to rinse off. I loved the finished product, my hair smelt great and it felt fantastic and it still does, 2 weeks later!!
