I've recently decided I can't afford to go to the hairdressers every 6 weeks just to have a hair colour so thought I would give this one a go (on special at the warehouse for $10, whoop whoop)
There's a pretty good colour range and I ended up settling on medium neutral brown as I don't like a brown that has red tints in it and wanted something dark to help cover the bright red I have been dying my hair.
So, packaging - sorry Clairol, but it's super boring packaging and probably wouldn't have caught my eye if it weren't for the discount coupon on the shelf. The same can be said for the bottles once you've opened the pack too. Except for the conditioner tube, that's pretty funky. Anyway, it's super easy to mix up, just like any other hair dye. I was pretty impressed with the amount of product you get in the pack, although I have hair that sits just below my ears, I could tell there would be enough dye to cover hair up to about shoulder length IMO.
The smell of the product isn't too bad and it didn't sting my eyes or make my scalp feel like it was on fire. So far so good!
Left it on for the recommended time, washed it out, applied the conditioner that it comes with and voila - nice brown hair, with completely no greys!
I did it 2 weeks ago and my hair still has a nice shine to it and the dye hasn't faded yet.
I would give it 5 stars but I didn't give me multi tonal hair, I'm not sure how they substantiate that claim. However I'm not worried about that so much and will definitely be repurchasing in around 4 weeks time.
I bought 101 baby blonde as it was on sale. I have medium-light blonde hair and what a lift. What I got was some ash blonde and some light orangey coloyr which I hate. I followed the very easy instructions to the letter. I would be looking for another colour or brand next time
Tips: buy a new colour when it is on special so if it doesn't turn out right you aren't so annoyed at having to buy another to fix it!
