Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Review

Okay so my biggest issue with this product was the Shades! Every other bb cream I have had has been in the shade medium, but this medium made me look like a caked up oompa Lumpa! Needles to say it was difficult to get a decent trial out of it. The texture of the product is quite thick, almost a mousse which I quite like. The coverage is a medium, as my scars were showing through, but that is quite typical of a bb cream. I wasn't able to get a good test for how long the product lasts just because of the colour mismatch but I'd imagine it would last quite well over the day as long as you weren't getting too sweaty. It was quite a nice bb cream and even had a nice scent. But I think I will stick to my maybelline bb :)

I trailed both this one and the anti ageing version.This had a slightly thicker consistency but both were creamy,pleasant smelling and the same shade. It went on easily and smoothly with fingers but it did remain shiny so I had to set it with powder to make it matte which I prefer. It stayed on for about 2-4 hours but disappeared rapidly after that. My skin is normal but starting to show my age with larger pores and crows feet and this did even the skin out. I am not sure if I am seeing changes to my actual skin yet but I will use up the tube. I may recommend to friends if they are looking for a bb cream and I will use it up.

I really enjoyed testing this product. Over all it is smooth and smells really fresh. The texture is great and is easy to apply, it does need a fair amount of blending when going for a second round of cover. I took time to try it different ways. I usually use foundation during the day for work because I can get some really nasty blemishes. First I tried it on its own. One application - the coverage was light but took the tone of my skin very well. Great to wear as a light cover if your having a "less skin conscious day". I then tried it as a primer for my foundation. Literally just using my foundation to cover those stubborn spotty areas - I found my foundation stayed on longer. I then tried it as a full cover, like I would with my foundation. Doubling up gets a bit tricky, it's not that easy to do and blending was a bit tricky. It also became quite oily and shiny which is not a look I like. I prefer a matt finish. Overall it's a good light cover and foundation preserver. I had a bit of a break out on my cheek which I don't usually get but I guess using a new product can do that.

I would buy it again but perhaps for a different skin type to prevent the sheen and breakout.

I was really excited to test out this product as I have heard so much about it , I really love it, its a perfect match to my skin, easy to blend, nice and light and creamy, only down side is when Im having a bad skin day it doesnt provide the coverage Im looking for so I end up having to wear multiple foundations , but apart from that its fantastic , very easy to remove, will definitely purchase more in the future :-)

Skin Type -My skin is normal , bordering slightly dry during winter which is why I use moisturiser frequently. On the first attempt I used the Garnier BB cream alone, because I wanted to see how if faired on its own. It left my skin feeling slightly dry but shiny. Consistency - The consistency is creamy, making it easy to apply. Application - On the first day I applied it exactly like my moisturiser (like the packaging recommends). It definitely makes my skin look even and hides the blemishes. On the subsequent attempts I dabbed it on the dark spots on my face to provider lighter, more natural coverage. This definitely gave me better results when used along with a primer. Fragrance - It has a sweet smell that cannot be ignored, but it goes away quite quickly. I personally prefer my make up to be less 'fragrant' than this. Coverage - The more I apply, the more coverage I get. For lighter results, I use it on target areas and then blend it out. The finish, on its own was quite shiny/oily. Longevity - I had to apply it only once in the morning. Price - This was my first BB Cream experience, but Garnier is definitely priced strategically in comparison to competing brands. I would still look out for specials to see if I could grab it for $15 or under. Packaging - The tube structure definitely makes it easy to pour the product onto your palm. At the same time, the nozzle is narrow enough to allow you to dab it on to the brush/sponge directly. Results - The product definitely evens out my skin, however I would not use it on its own…I need to use a primer to reduce the shine. Would you recommend it - Not to be used on its own, but to be used along with other product(s)

I didn't have very high hopes for this product as I used the old versions in the past and didn't like them. However there have been some improvements to the formula and it is not as bad as it used to be.

The product is a lot more soft and creamy now and had a slightly silky feel when I applied it to my hand to test for skin reaction.

I tried this product in a few different ways with different brushes and sponges. Normally with BB creams, I apply after moisturiser and primer, before foundation. However I didn't like the product being applied this way, I found it just sat on my skin and left a greasy residue.

I decided to try as a base moisturiser instead and that is where the product shone. Before I applied anything to my face, I applied the Garnier BB Cream with my fingers to my face. This gave me a really moisturised base as well as a bit of coverage to start the rest of my makeup application. I have now been wearing it this way everyday for a week with primer over top and have been really liking the result.

It is not a high coverage BB cream, is more of a tinted moisturiser than anything else. I can not use this instead of foundation like I can with my other BB creams.

It is also slightly orangey even though I chose the lightest colour, would not be recommended to those with pink toned skin as the orange would show up even more.

The scent of the product is very strong and perfumey. I didn't like this aspect of the product, I don't think that much scent is necessary for a skincare product.

I liked the packaging, the product comes out of the tube easily, and you have full control of how much you squeeze out. On a clean face, the product applies smoothly and is easy to blend into the skin.

Overall, I am right in the middle with my opinion on this product. I am happy using it for now while I have it, but probably wouldn't repurchase because like I said before, it really is just a tinted moisturiser. That being said, the price point is a little too high.

I have always avoided BB creams as I like quite a full coverage, but I was impressed with this! It felt a lot thicker and creamier than I was expecting, and it had a really pleasant smell. It offered slightly less coverage than I'm used to, but it really did even out my skin tone and left my skin feeling and looking dewy. I found that applying a little pressed powder over the top helped to 'set' the BB cream and gave me a more made up look. It definitely helped me save time in the morning, not having to apply moisturiser, then foundation. I would definitely recommend as a good everyday product.

Compared to other BB cremes I have tried Garnier actually takes the top spot. This BB Creme makes my skin look instantly smoother, It feels softer and definitely helps to illimnate any red spots or blemishes I have, As well as making my skin tone more even. It's consistency is quite creamy and smells so fresh! Love this and will definitely be keeping this stocked in my collection.

My first impression of the BB cream was great, the tube it comes in is pretty and it would appeal to me to pick up in a shop.

Of course the first thing I did when I opened it was try a small amount on the back of my hand and I was quite surprised at the texture being quite thick and was a bit concerned it would be quite heavy, but after rubbing it into my hand it just disappeared into a light, non-greasy finish.

I usually wear a medium coverage, buildable foundation to work Mon-Fri and then lighter on the weekends, Sunday's I allow my skin to breath and wear no makeup at all so I thought I'd give it a shot on Sunday in lieu of sunscreen. I opted for the 'light' version as I'm very pale being from Ireland.

I usually apply my makeup with a beauty blender but wanted to see what the texture was like so just applied it with my fingers, I loved that it was quite a creamy consistency and didn't run. The smell was also quite pleasant and it almost smelled a little bit like tea :-) I applied it over my usual routine of moisturiser and primer and it went on like a dream and instantly absorbed into my skin. I loved that it wasn't greasy and almost dried to a matte finish, I have 'normal' skin and it felt really nice on my face. I wasn't expecting any coverage which was good because I didn't get any, I did however get a more even complexion. My skin is in good condition, I don't often break out so I don't have a lot to hide other than evening out my skin and this is perfect for that. I finished off with some translucent powder and I was ready to go. I love the finish and the best part was that I didn't feel like I was wearing anything at all. It's so lightweight and looking in the mirror - my skin just looked like a better version of itself with no makeup on. Even my Husband commented that my skin looked really good not having known that I had anything on.

I would absolutely wear this again, in fact it will probably be my weekend go to and I imagine in summer it will be great to wear out so I'm looking forward to trying it then. I love that it has UV protection.

The only thing I didn't like is the coverage - I don't know that it would actually correct blemishes, I don't have any at the moment to try it on but it's so light that I have my doubts.

All in all I think it's great, especially for those of us that wear heavier makeup during the week - it's a refreshing change to have something on that makes me feel not so 'naked'
