Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream Oil-free S

I trialled the combination to oily skin in a medium colour tone. My skin is normally reasonably oily down the T zone and I often get acne - too much for a 47 year old! When I first tried it out of the tube I felt it was a little too watery. It did however cover my skin very easily when applying. I applied it with my fingers and got a very good all over coverage. In the first couple of days, I didnt really like the product as it felt far too dry on my skin. My skin was not feeling moisturised at all. However after a few days I got used to it and actually quite enjoyed the look and feel. A friend commented on how perfect my skin looked - well that did it for me! The product lasted all day I guess - I dont normally re-apply unless I am going out in the evening. I would however cleanse the product off before re-applying. I havent bought this product in the stores yet, but fully intend to when the tube is finished. I have looked at Countdown on line and the pricing is very competitive. Quite reasonably to say the least given its a moisturiser and foundation in one. I am not 100% sure about the packaging - like I said on day one, it was very watery when I squeezed it out of the tube. I feel you may use too much given the watery consistency. However, I was a little more careful after day one when putting an amount into my hand for application. Yes I think it did what it says, my skin does feel a little dryer from using it, it gave me a near perfection look once applied - the colour was great for my skin tone. Yes I would definitely recommend it to my friends - they will be well impressed with the price!

Tips: Squeeze it out gently as tends to come out quick as a watery consistency. I applied by putting a small amount in my hand and applying with my fingers - got a great coverage.

Not really for me

I was very excited to be selected to try this product as I am a huge fan of the BB cream I got from the body shop a while ago and was looking forward to finding a cheaper option as the body shop one is a bit pricey. I opted for the oily/combination as I have combination skin but I found it really accentuate the not oily part of my face and made it look really dry and flaky, even when I put it on straight after moisturising. It did have a nice finish on the oily parts of my skin so I feel like for people with oily skin to would work well just not for me. Up close it looks powdery and from a distance it has a nice matte, barely there look. It was easy to apply, I just used my fingers. I found it a bit watery, not a bad thing but it did come out faster then I was expecting the first time I used it. It lasted all day and gave that nice light coverage that evens out your skin with out being to heavy that you get with a good BB cream so I would recommend it to a friend with oily skin but definitely not combo skin. Good product over all, just not for me and my difficult skin.

Tips: Use over freshly moisturised skin for a nice smooth finish.

Oil Free BB Cream

I found the consistency of this BB cream to be quite watery but to be honest that is what I liked about it because it enabled the product to have a nice finish. Unlike other BB creams I have tried this one set on my face and did not slide off during the day which is great for oily skinned girls. I did not find the product to have any smell which does not phase me. It gives me light coverage which is to be expected from a product like this. I did find that this product helped hydrate my skin and I liked the fact that it had an SPF of 15 in it. The only issue that I have with this product is the shade range. As I am a pale skin girl I got the shade light and it was too dark for my skin tone. I would consider re-purchasing if they bring out a lighter shade.

Tips: I used this BB cream as a base underneath my foundation.

Garnier Oil Free BB Cream - Stays matte!

I have been trying out the Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream in Oil-Free for over a week now and it has some really good points and a couple not so good. I have combination skin with a very oily t-zone and dry patches under my eyes and around my nose. I was surprised that this BB cream really was matte and stayed matte for a good 5-8 hours throughout the day. The color was almost too orangey for my pale skin tone but I could make it work and it will be perfect in Summer. If you are very pale or have a pink under tone to your skin this might not work for you. The only real flaw I found in this product is that it clinged to my dry patches a bit too much and made them stand out more. It has a good coverage and I could wear it with or without a foundation on top. If you have oily / prone to breakouts skin then I would recommend giving this a go! - It also contains SPF 15 so its a great all in one product.

Garnier BB Cream Oil-free

Having never used or considered using a BB cream I was excited to trial. The packaging/advertisement promises a lot for a cream. And generally these promises were surprisingly correct.

First impressions of the BB cream was that it was very runny which was not expected. Easy to make a mess, especially within the lid. The colour matched my skin well which is usually difficult when so light. Coverage was good minimising redness and blemishes. It felt light on the skin and did not appear caked on. Can be layered to give a thicker coverage. Lasted most of the day at work but by the end of the day was bearly noticeable. Was easy to apply (just with fingers as a standard cream) and easy to blend. If enough care was not taken to blend then a tide mark can be noticeable. Dried with a nice matte finish.

Generally I did like this product and less it better. I would use this product again as a quick morning/work alternative to makeup. It does what it says it will within limits of a cheaper bb cream.

Tips: Can be built up or used under a foundation for a better coverage.

Miracle Skin Perfector-Oil-free BB cream

I was very interested to trial this product, there has been much hype about BB creams and how amazing they are, even the name of this one says its a "miracle" and "perfector" so i was a little excited to give this a go.

ive never used BB cream before, so i have nothing to compare it to, and i liked this yes, it found it interesting and essentially a foundation but i wouldnt call it a miracle perfecter cream, its more a light foundation.

the instructions say to basically use it the same as you would your moisteriser. i found out the very first time, that for me, this is not a good idea! im quite heavy handed on my moisteriser and as this is quite a light runny liquid i ended up in a bit of a mess. and a bit orange!

i got there in the end, a lighter application and a second application over the top is meant to cover more and make it a more matte finish. it looked fine and was easier to use than a foundation.

it blended in with my skin tone ok, once i had put less on! and i found it easy to blend into my chin and jawline, no obvious foundation line.

i have combination skin, bits of it are dry, bits are oily and bits are normal, this was fine on the normal/oily parts, however it really accentuated the dryer parts making it quite obvious i had a bit of flakey skin, so if you are like me then a wee exfoliation before application makes a lot of difference!

there is virtually no smell to this product, its very minimal which is great, strong scented products im not attracted to at all.

i found it rubbed off easily, there is no staying power to this, so maybe i would need to put a powder over the top, im not sure, i would lose the "glow" then surely. im not very good with makeup application, so i need to keep playing to see what i can do to make the colour last the distance.

would i use this again? yes. i find its easier to apply than a liquid foundation, it seems to be an ok colour, though i do have to be careful of applying too much.

as i havent had this product long, i cannot comment on their claim that in 4 weeks i would have clearly visible improvements in my skin, though i will keep using this and see what happens.

Tips: Be careful taking the top off, if you arent over a paper towel or the sink you may find it has the potential to make a mess, its pretty light and watery!

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream Oil-free S

I was quite interested in using the Garnier BB cream because I have often thought about buying a tinted moisturiser because I do not wear foundation.

On opening the BB cream (Medium shade), I noticed it is more a 'lotion' than a cream. It is a very runny consistency but this is not all bad, because it makes a little go a long way and is very easy to apply. I would dot it around my face and blend it in. The cream applied really well and I was surprised how well it spread over my skin. The colour was a really nice medium shade and went really nicely with my skin tone.

I was surprised to see that when I applied it to my forehead it accentuated some pigmentation I had never noticed before. My forehead is generally drier than other parts of my face, so am not sure whether this was the reason. On adding another application in the area it did appear to cover this but I felt it was a bit heavy for my liking.

There was no unpleasant fragrance when using the BB cream.

I definitely enjoyed the feel of this product over a foundation, which I have worn on special occasions. I would agree Garnier BB cream has a lightweight texture and feels much more natural than other foundation products. After applying it, my skin still felt clean and fresh. I think this cream would be great for other people who are starting off wearing make up for the first time or for younger skins.

I think the cream comes in a handy sized tube. Easy to throw in your handbag for reapplication later in the day. There is a lot of information to read on the box which is in a very small font, might put off older ladies or sight challenged people.

It lasted well. About 5 or 6 hours and it did keep its matte finish for all of this time.

I love the SPF factor.

I didn't use this product long enough to see any specific results with regards to minimising pores, less oily skin, reducing imperfections, but I did enjoy the matte finish, shine control and the even tone it gave my skin.

Tips: I would still add a bit of my moisturiser to my skin after toning and then apply the Garnier BB cream afterwards. When opening the tube, make sure you hold it upright and hold it lightly so as not to spill it.

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream Oil-free

I was pleasantly surprised by this one, it being a supermarket product!

I used the light shade. As I have very pale skin the match wasn't perfect but it wasn't glaringly dark orange like some tinted products can be. The fragrance is subtle and clean, no perfumes to make me all sniffy!

I applied the product to clean skin with a foundation brush. The coverage is very sheer so I had to build up the layers a bit in problem areas, but the texture was really good (neither greasy nor cakey, it dried but didn't feel tight). It reflects the light/has a slight sheen to it so it looks pretty natural. I would tend to use concealer for the extra coverage, but I still feel like this product could replace my foundation.

Tips: Using a brush is just my personal preference, dabbing it into the skin with your fingertips would work as well.

I would recommend that people with medium skin tones check out the light shade first; I feel like it would suit most caucasian skin and the medium shade might be a tad dark.

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream

I was really looking forward to using this product - I love BB creams & have tried a few but haven't found anything yet that I really like. I have pretty good skin & I am told I "don't need make-up" however like most girls I tend to disagree... I like makeup, I like to apply it & to know that I have it on especially for work & going out & I usually always wear makeup on the weekends but have always wanted a good BB cream that I can wear in place of make-up when I am time poor or on the weekends. My makeup regime is usually; foundation, concealer, pressed powder, bronzer, blush & mascara. At first I was a bit disappointed with this BB cream... it was very runny & smelt quite chemically coming out of the tube.... BUT it did disappear into my skin nicely & DID even out my skin tone. I would like to try the lighter shade as I feel its a tiny bit orangey on me. I wore it over the weekend with just power & bronzer over it & it was pretty much perfect for the makeup free makeup look I was going for. I would like it more if it were a bit softer/creamier going on & left my completion more dewy but I will continue to use it & I look forward to reading others reviews! The search for the perfect BB cream continues x

Great for casual days

I have oily/combination skin. I found the consistency of the product nice, similar to a moisturiser which made it easy to apply, with a light feeling once applied, I used my fingers to apply rather than my usual foundation brush and this worked well.

There was not really a fragrance to the product which I like for a bb cream. It had a light coverage with a slightly shiney finish. In terms of wear it wore reasonably well and I still felt the coverage was good at the end of the day. The packaging was ok, it is not overly beautiful but it is not ugly either, you do have to squeeze gently otherwise too much comes out if you are holding it upside down.

I think that for the price that it retails for it is quite a good buy as you do not need to use much to get a good result.

I would recommend this to a friend and will most likely continue to use this myself as I think it does what it says it will do and provides a light skin perfecting effect.

Tips: Finishing powder to prevent sheen if you are wanting a matte finish
