Unfortunately the overpowering smell ruined any chance of this product rating a decent score from me.
The product did apply smoothly though, and was easy to apply. It did even out skin tone and the colour wasn't too pale (compared to other products I have tried in the 'light' range which appear sickly on me. It's texture felt hydrating.
Worn only on it's own after about an hour though I noticed the product settling into fine lines. That said when worn with some light foundation and/or mineral powder it's coverage appeared just fine.
All positives noted, I'm afraid it fell over completely with it's smell. It was overly fragrant and smelt like a cheap product. No amount of positives could outweigh that negative for me.
I am in my late 20's and starting to use anti aging products, so was really keen to give this a try. At the moment, I have combination skin and am starting to notice those fine lines appearing.
I found this is a really unwearable and unnatural colour on me. I have used other Garnier BB creams and the medium shade has been fine for me in the past, however, this one was VERY orange toned and really didn't look great on my skin, it gave me quite a muddy look. The consistency of the product itself is nice, it is quite a thick, creamy texture. I tried applying this two ways; with a brush and with my fingers. I found applying with a brush made the product look streaky and it sort of moved around on my face and didn't give much coverage. This worked much better when applied with my fingers, it gave an even coverage and the warmth from my hands/fingers helped it to spread and apply nicely. I also tend to finish off with patting motions when applying BB creams to avoid any 'wipe' marks.
This is definitely not a full coverage product - I would say light to medium if you built it up (and for me I would tend not to, as the more it is built up the darker and more orangey it looked on me).
I tried wearing this a couple of ways. The first was alone; this did not last very long, moved around on my face, wiped off if you touched it and looked very very oily. The second was to wear it with some translucent pressed powder on top. This definitely helped to tone down the orange tone a smidge and helped the product to last longer. The third way I tried this was as a primer before using foundation. Out of all three, this is the method I prefer with this product as I can use a foundation that is slightly too light for me and it helps to counteract the darkness & orange in the BB cream.
The packaging of the product is fine, nothing spectacular, but it does the job. The tube is easy to squeeze and get product out of, but I found the BB cream did tend to sort of clump in the opening so you would end up with one of those weird little hard unusable bits of product would come out first sometimes.
I personally did not notice any noticeable improvement in skin firmness and I found this BB cream made my skin feel a bit dirty because it felt and looked so oily. I have also noticed some breakouts since using this - which I can't confirm or deny is from using this product.
This isn't something I personally would repurchase or recommend based on my experience.
Tips: Try using a small amount of this as a primer before foundation. I found it worked better for this purpose.
