Ruined!!!

THAT'S IT ! I'M DONE!! I've been ruined !

I've been ruined for all other products. Ladies ! Throw your brushes and sponges away ! Beauty blender is here. BB is my new holy grail ! I love using it ! I find my foundation is perfectly blended and it doesn't eat up my product like a lot of other tools.

My foundation has never looked so good!

A few years ago I would have never thought that I'd be using a sponge to apply my foundation! In fact - looking back at those ratty little circle sponges that come in compacts I would have probably laughed in your face! However - I have officially changed my mind on all sponges after using the amazing, wonderful, pink, Beauty Blender! Ta daaa!

The Beauty Blender is not just any sponge, however. It's especially formed to apply liquid and powder to the face. Not just in it's shape and size, but the way the whole sponge is made makes it unique to copy-cats. I have used dupes and replicas but nothing is as good as the real thing.

The Beauty Blender applies my Double Wear foundation with ease. It uses less foundation than I would normally (despite the rumors of it sucking foundation up), it gives me amazing coverage, and a flawless finish! I promise I'm not a spokes person for Beauty Blenders - I really do just love them!

As a daily foundation wearer with little time in the morning, I am always looking for something that makes my makeup application quicker and easier. This is the tool! I squeeze some water through the sponge, then put some foundation on the back of my hand, dab the sponge in and bounce it around my face. That's all I have to do - it does the rest of the work for me! And I promise you - never has my foundation looked so good.

Downsides - I know it's expensive for what it is. I know. But - it's just so good! Plus you can pick them up a little cheaper online and especially if you buy a duo pack (plus then you've got a backup).

Also - if you don't take care of it, it won't last long. So I have some SARD wonder soap on hand to give it a gentle clean every 2-3 days. I say gentle because it can tear and rip quite easily so you have to watch your nails aren't digging in as you use it.

Overall, I would recommend this beauty to anyone and anything. But mainly to people who wear foundation every day. It is SO much easier than a brush and I swear I use less foundation! If you're really worried about the price or it being a hit and miss - try the Real Techniques sponge as a dupe first. If you like that, then you'll love the Beauty Blender! Let me know how you find it - was it love at first sight?

Tips: Don't be alarmed - it does stain a little! But definitely give it a quick wash every few days to keep bacteria at bay. Also - keep it somewhere fairly dry otherwise they can develop mould which isn't too nice. I use the rounded side for foundation and the pointed side for concealer and get a flawless finish everytime!

Using it wet

Thought about it a lot before falling into the hype of this sponge which changed my life in foundation application. I personally have very dry skin and with most foundations, it will always caught in dry patches. Using this beauty blender and wetting it allow me to add a bit of moisture while applying my foundation and result is no streaks. I have tried other dupes of their version of the beauty blender, but something about the texture soft but dense, which other sponges doesn't have. The tapered edge is great for applying concealer under the eye and around the nose...

Worth the hype?

I ummed and ahhed about purchasing a Beauty Blender for ages as I just couldn't justify spending about $40 on a sponge! But then one day after being absolutely sick of using a brush (which I never got the hang of) and my fingers (always led to cake face) I ordered one. First I looked up loads of reviews which did divide me a bit as people either loved the Beauty Blender or completely shot it down as over hyped but as other methods weren't working for me I thought might as well. Well I LOVE it! Incredibly easy to use and I haven't had any issues with foundation lines from shoddy blending since! I've had a massive problem with dry skin lately which has led to problems with my foundation but the Beauty Blender gets rid of that as you soak it before use.

I haven't tried fakes of it as I looked up a lot of reviews and they weren't favourable.

Absolutely love my Beauty Blender and will definitely be purchasing again. It IS worth the hype!

Tips: Follow the directions and soak in water before use, works great especially with dry skin. Also I would recommend buying the cleaner. I didn't as I read that face wash would do they trick, however mine always looks foundationy now. Still applies beautifully though!

HG Must Have Product

This is regularly my go to foundation applicator, I love it! I was sceptical about how great the result was going to be, given the huge hype online, but wasn't disappointed. In fact I was amazed by the way it transformed my regular foundation, making it more effective and flawless. I don't know about any of the knock off's but you can definitely rely on the quality of this product!

Tips: I clean mine with a mixture of baby shampoo and baby oil, leaving it spotless every time!

AMAZING!

I am completely in love with this sponge. The finish it gives me is amazing and leaves my foundation looking natural and not cakey at all. It blends my foundation and concealer flawlessly. Cannot live without this product and I have no clue as to what I was doing before this sponge came in to my life. It's really easy and quick to use which i loved. Will definitely keep repurchasing this product.

Tips: Use the sponge damp so that it doesn't absorb the product as much as it would with a dry beautyblender.

Most Expensive Sponge in the World (probably)

Where was life before the beauty blender. I'll tell you, it was in the two dollar mart where you get those cheap wedges of sponge in a 20 pack for a couple of bucks. The beauty blender whilst expensive will make your foundation or concealer look so natural. It blends out beautifully and the sponge absorbs excess oils in the foundation. I just lightly tap and blend away with the sponge and it leaves me with such a natural finish that it's hard to believe that I'm even wearing makeup. Maintenance of the beauty blender is a bit of a pain in the arse since the pibnk colour kind of washes out and it gets stained so easily. Also because you are using this product wet, it can easily harbour tons of bacteria so you always have to wash and clean it.

Tips: Clean it as often as you can! Have to be careful as to what you smother on your face

Thought it was overrated I was so wrong

This is by far the best sponge I've ever tried. I have brought just about every kind of makeup sponge out there including ones that are meant to be dupes for the beauty blender. It is just to good to be true yea it costs more but the result you get with it is amazing

Tips: Have to use it wet and wash it often to keep from giving your self break outs

It's definitely worth it!!

I know gals! It's expensive and definitely makes your wallet scream at you but the beauty blender is like the new brush! It replaces so much. It doesn't leave streaks or unwanted looks it does exactly what you want!

I brought mine online at beauty bliss for $32 mine is pink. It's so smooth on your face. Doesn't soak up your product it doesn't leave streaks as I said before, it just leaves your face looking flawless and beautiful I Love it.

You need to start saving up because your gonna wanna put away all those flat tops and round top brushes and replace them with these.

I think it's like a science project to have made this. It even expands when you wet it. Now that's cool.

It does last a while. Mine last about 3 months maybe more. If you clean it then it should last you a while. I just use the cleanser that it came with. Sometimes when I'm lazy I just use baby shampoo that works also.

Overall it's the best little sponge I've ever seen.

Tips: I recommend to use it damp it works better. Well at least I find it works better.

Worth the Hype.

Like many people, I had heard nothing but rave reviews about the beauty blender. Being highly skeptical, I opted for a less expensive dupe (the Real Techniques sponges), which I promptly fell in love with. As I don't use brushes to apply my foundation (they cause micro exfoliation on my dry skin and make my face look patchy), I decided to bite the bullet and try the beauty blender out.

I got a dual pack of these from Nordstrom as they are much more affordable than purchasing them from here. The first thing that struck me about these, is that they are really small when dry. However, when you wet them they expand to almost double their size when wet, but are slightly smaller than the Real Techniques sponges.

These are very easy to use and feel soft and really 'bouncy' on your skin. I find that when they are wet they do absorb product, but it is fairly minimal. They create a flawless and seamless application to my face, don't create any ugly dry patches and don't diminish the coverage of my foundation.

These are fairly pricey but - for my skin type, they are a must have. In comparison to the Real Techniques sponges, these perform slightly better on my skin in that they don't absorb much product, the finish is slightly better and the sponge feels bouncier - which makes my skin look more natural.

If you have the Real Techniques sponges and are happy with those, then I wouldn't recommend you purchase these just because they are expensive and the difference is rather subtle. However, I will definitely repurchase these over the Real Techniques sponges as I do prefer the subtle differences and I like that these absorb less product. These also feel of a higher quality to the RT sponges.

Tips: Get these from Nordstrom's website as they are much cheaper.
