This was the first ever brush cleaner I have ever used and was really unsure what to expect from this as it was quite cheap compared to other brands.
I was shocked when I first received this product as it is such a small bottle and I was expecting bigger. I do love how it comes in a dark transparent bottle which makes it easy to see how much product is left. Also, how you get the product is neat as you can control the amount instead of accidentally tipping out o much.
The results however when using this brush shampoo was amazing as it removes stains from your brushes instantly. I have found that my brushes have kept there shape well and are super soft.
I really love the scent of this product as it isn't overpowering like Baby Shampoo and the scent doesn't linger on your brushes.
Prior to this I had never used a brush cleaner - so I wasn't sure what to expect. This was only US $3 when I bought it, so I wasn't going to be too miffed if I decided I didn't like it.
This comes in a semi transparent bottle, so it is super easy to see how much product you have left. I really like that. I also like that the dispenser (it is one of those pop up ones), makes it easy to disperse product without it squirting all over you.
You only need a small amount of this to thoroughly clean your brushes (I use a teaspoon of this and that washes roughly 30 brushes). It has a light scent but it isn't overpowering.
Since having this I have used it around 5-6 times and my brushes are still soft and this doesn't leave any nasty residue on them (provided you wash it out properly).
In all honesty, I think this is a great brush cleaner and it does was your brushes really well BUT it doesn't really do anything more than my old routine (dishwashing soap and olive oil), didn't do. If you prefer the idea of buying a brush cleaner (as opposed to making your own), then I recommend this.
Tips: When washing and drying your brushes ALWAYS make sure no water goes into the ferrel (the metal part that joins the brush to the handle). If water gets in there then that can loosen the glue that holds it together and the hairs will fall out.
Dry your brushes with the brush end facing down to avoid this :)
