Rimmel Lasting Radiance Primer Reviews

I was super excited when I got this in the mail. I am obsessed with primers and think its a crime to use foundation without it but I was really disappointed with this.

It smooths on really nicely but its extremely yellow.

While I was expecting it to be glowy I didn't enjoy the glitter particles either

However the foundation smoothed over it nicely. All in all the primer is okay but only if you are fine with it being quite yellow!

I love Rimmel products. I have not used many primers at all so was excited to try this. It comes in a 30 ml squeezy tube. I wish it had a flip top lid. It is a yellow colour and a semi thick consistency. It has a subtle fresh scent.

I use this after moisturising my face. You do not need much as it spreads really well. It makes my skin feel smooth and soft. It dries super fast and doesn't leave any horrible, tacky feeling at all.

My foundation glides on super easily. I have also worn this by itself and it makes my complexion look fresh but nothing amazing. It does not make my skin turn oily and I get no breakouts from this.

I feel like it works well with the matching foundation and concealer but doesn't really make a huge difference so I don't feel like I need to add this into my routine. Didn't wow me at all and there are much better primers out there.

First impressions...this primer comes in a pretty standard squeezy tube, easily applies to your fingers or directly on your face.

The texture is a bit thinner than what I usually go for in a primer, I don't feel like it fills in pores or fine lines.

It does apply quite easily and feels hydrating, and it wears well under foundation which I found lasted throughout the day, but it has quite a lot of shimmer in it which isn't necessary for me as I already wear a dewy foundation.

This product im still on the fence about. The first time i tried it on its own to see what it was like but it was to glowy for me to be worn like that as it was a glowy gold colour and im quite fair skinned. Second time i wore it with the radiance foundation and concealer, it looked really good under the foundation and made my skin look really dewy but once the foundation had started coming off during the day.. I had gold patches and it really did not look good mixed with the foundation. The third time i used it more as a highlighter under my foundation, i put it where you would put highlighter on your face and that was probably the way i liked it the most as even when the foundation wore off it just looked like a highlighter and still looked good! It comes out a gold colour and is very moisturizing. This primer i found helped with keeping the foundation on longer. Overall would i go out and buy this? No probably not as I could just use a high lighter instead of a primer but im going to keep using the primer till the end and see if grows on me. Id still recommend it to a friend as it might work for them.

This primer is perfect for getting that dewy look. It was a thinner consistency than I expected as I am usually used to a thicker primer. I found this was best applied with a brush and you don't need a lot of product. My foundation looked good for the whole day but I did get my usual dry spots on my forehead.

I dont have a lot to say about the primer apart from the fact that my makeup lasted longer after using this and I found it went on smoother as opposed to not using the primer. The primer was a little hard to apply but that could be because I'm a rookie and have never used a primer before. I will continue to use though

I really enjoyed using this concealer. I found the colour Ivory actually matched my skin tone and helped cover dark circles and lines. It also blended really well and seemed to instantly erase my problem areas.

This lovely lotion-light primer gave me visibly radiant skin. With its powdery floral scent, this illuminating primer has a very highend smell and feel (creamy rather than the usual greasy gel formulas). This is a finer product than you might expect from a primer with such an affordable price-tag (around $17). The plastic tube is utilitarian- like a small sunscreen bottle- so there is zero shelf-appeal. I feel this lets it down as it is a really lovely product. I guess that the sporty orange and white theme gives off an idea of a sunburst and, hence, radiance. It lasted very well- with such a quality formula, it gave great grip to my foundation. I would definitely recommend this primer!

I was really excited to try this product as Rimmel is a brand I have liked and used in the past.

My initial impression of the product was that it was light, slightly runny and not greasy to the touch. The main minus was that even though I squeezed the tube gently, alot of product came out.

I squeezed the product onto the back of my hand and patted it onto the larger parts of my face first (cheeks and forehead), before applying the rest to my nose, chin and above my lips. It spread and absorbed easily, leaving no tacky residue.

I took a good look in the mirror after applying it, and although it didn't make my skin super glowy, there was a definite sheen.

As far as primers go, overall I thought this was pretty good, especially given it didn't leave a feel of silicone on my skin. It was nice and light and I would recommend it as a good daytime summer primer. I probably wouldn't use it at night as I need a primer with more staying power. The only real minus was that it was quite runny.
