Australis Eye Shadow Primer

This primer has a very smooth and silicon-y finish and helps your eye shadows stay on for a fair amount of time. However I wouldn't consider it long wearing and I prefer other primers to this. It also doesn't color correct your eyelids or make your eye shadows appear vibrant.

This is a nice primer for everyday neutral looks (although it wont last 8 hours) but not my favorite primer of all time.

I bought this stuff from a kit i purchased from Kmart. I bought this originally because I never understood the hype of an eyeshadow primer and always heard from my mate that Australis was an amazing brand. This was my first ever purchase from this brand. I absolutely adore the packaging as I am a huge sucker for something that shines ans if it's pink. I found that i really liked this eye shadow primer as it is a color that would blend into any skin tone. I found that this was an excellent base for any eyeshadow and did help them stay vibrant on my eyes until it was time to take my makeup off. It is great value for price mine lasted about 6 months. I did however hate that you couldn't get the last few drops out of the packaging but to be honest you can't. I would definitely repurchase this product the next time I am in need of an eyeshadow primer.

i have finally found a primer that works wonderfully and is also cheap! i also like the applicator which is like a lipgloss applicator. would absolutely recommend it.

I have oily eyelids and also hooded lids so no matter what products ALWAYS crease on me (even the ones that say they are long wearing!). This primer is amazing to help prevent this. I pop a small amount on, blend it in with my finger and my eyeshadow stays put all day long with no creasing, smudging or fading! Its brilliant! Also such a great price! Will always repurchase!

I got this product as part of a prize pack from a FB competition. I was weary to use it at first because I have never had great results from eye primers before, but this one is great! not a heavy formula, so I don't feel like my eyes are clogged up with make-up. And best of all I can go out to work then head out to town afterwards and not stress about having those silly creases in my eye shadow half way through the night. Very impressed :)

So rapt to see an affordable eyelid primer pop up at Farmers/Kmart. This product mostly does what it says, creates a base so eyeshadows show up with greater colour vibrancy and creates a base for lasting shadows. My eyeshadow lasted for a good 7 hours before creasing and my oily eyelids stared playing up. All in all, it's not up there with the McDaddy of eye primers: Urban Decay's Primer Potion which is totally what I'd recommend for those with oily lids. But this Australis version is definitely a product I'd recommend nevertheless.

I was slightly skeptical about whether or not I needed to add "another" product to my daily makeup routine before giving Australis Eye Shadow Primer a go. I found it incredibly easy to slot in to my routine, it took less than 10 seconds to apply and while I waited the 'mandatory' 30 seconds before applying eyeshadow I completed other parts of my routine.

When applying the primer I was concerned that it might be a bit heavy as it seemed quite thick, but it quickly dried and once dry didn't leave my eyelids feeling heavy - it was like I didn't have anything else on.

My eyeshadow applied really easily over top of the primer and wore really well all day, and there was still plenty to clean off at the end of the day.

Have to say it DEFINITELY made my eye shadow stay. I even did a really pigmented smokey eye and low and behold it stayed on my face all night (even after getting a weeeeeee bit sweaty). Easy to apply, makes the colours really stand out, the eyeshadow seemed to cling to it, like me to a pair of pretty high heel shoes! I have quite hooded eyes and find that my shadow tends to rub and crease, which is NOT a good look but with this product that didn't happen YAY! I have to say, the one thing that would make me fall in love with this product, because I'm not quite there....close but not quite is if you could buy it with a tint. If I could get this in a nice neutral tint (it's clear) I would be SOOOOOO in love with this product! But hey, it's cheap, does what it says and lasts all day and night (unlike my husband). So enjoy!

I was really interested to try this product as I have quite oily eyelids that crease my eye shadow, so i'm always on the hunt for a good primer. When I applied the primer, it was quite a slippery texture so I let it dry for a few minutes just to make sure I was getting the most out of the product. When I applied my eyeshadow, it did show the colour as very vibrant and it blended out smoothly - I was impressed with this. However, after 3 or so hours my eyeshadow had started to crease :( The colours were still vibrant but the creasing was quite bad. Overall, a good product in terms of making colours pop but not the best option for oily skin - probably a better suited product to those with dryer skin.
