Australis Ready Set Finishing Powder

I was in search of a finishing powder that would make my dewy foundation less shiny and so my makeup would stay put for longer than usual. I have found a lot of Australis products to be quite amazing so it only made sense to go with a brand I am familiar with. At $15 a pop it doesn't break the bank and it is a very reasonable price for something like finishing powder.

The powder itself is very fine and lightweight which I like in a finishing powder. I usually prefer the pressed finishing powder but thought that loose maybe more effective. The packaging is the familiar Australis look with a lid that fits securely to the container. This is a big deal to me because I have found other loose powders can often shake itself loose in my makeup bag. So far I am yet to see this with this container so high five for that Australis.

I have combination skin so need to make sure the finishing powder I use doesn't make my skin far too dry. I use a dewy finish like I said and stipple this powder over top to set my makeup. It actually likes to cling to my very dry spots and makes them appear worse than what they are. The powder works well on the oilier parts of my skin making it appear more normal in appearance. I was expecting it to be weightless and airy on my skin but on my dry areas I can actually feel it on my skin. It almost feels tight which is weird.

When it comes to the last power, it actually falls short there too. I was expecting at least a work day of 9-5 but by 3pm I was melting and had to retouch the face to make it appear less wicked witch of the west melting. I do like to use it to help make some lipsticks matte rather than satin or gloss. It works well for this and doubles as a stay put powder for lippy. Although it's not great for some areas of my skin on my lips it's magic.

In luv with this. Its has a srew top lid with a seive inside.Great for controlling the amount wanted. Its very fine not grainy at all.I pat this on my tzone using a brush and under my eyes to.This stops under eye creasing for most of the day. I still get oily on my nose throughout the day but this definitely helps control that and hey I have an oily tzone so thats normal. I usually remove the sieve and dip the tiniest tip of my brush in, put the sieve back in and tap and swirl the brush then pat on needed areas. It's alot if work I know but this works for me. A little goes a long way so this powder is going to last a very long time and at such an affordable price im sold

I love this powder; it is my go-to for setting basically anything, and it is also the powder I use to mattify a lipstick or make one longer-lasting. It doesn't have a scent which I like, and it's very finely milled so it isn't at all chunky. It is also some kind of miracle formula because I've had mine coming in two years now and it looks like I haven't used any at all! Go figure.

This is a really good powder, very light and it sets your makeup really well. I recommend it for people with oily skin like me.

I found it a bit messy to get out, but not enough to lower the score of the product. It gives a nice finish and doesn't look overly powdery. Definitely recommended.

I enjoyed this powder, the texture is very fine and feels weightless on the skin. I found it set my foundation for the day and looks very light and natural. I am not a fan of the container, the product is hard to get out. Some times in can jam up which is really annoying and you get no product out of the little holes. There didn't seam to be a lot of product in the container and I went through it really quickly. Would buy it again because the product is good but hope they change the container!

I bought this as I wasn't happy with my Rimmel Stay Matte powder but really needed a finishing powder due to my oily skin. The Australis powder is better, but still has its own flaws.

The packaging is good. The lid stays securely closed which is pretty important when you're dealing with a powder as fine as this!

I had to "shake" it somewhat to get the powder up through the holes which meant when I took off the lid I had a spectacular cloud of powder floating around my bathroom! Putting my powder brush into the powder created another little cloud. It shows how finely milled it is, but I'd prefer it to have been on my face rather than my bathroom sink.

I used this on my nose and cheeks after my moisturiser, primer, and foundation, so I thought I had a pretty decent base down on my skin. When I put it on though it seemed to settle in my pores which make lots of white powdery dots on my nose. This could be more user-error than an issue with the powder though.

After about 5 hours there was some melting around my nose, especially the corners by the nostrils. I don't mind this too much though as 5 hours is a lot longer than I usually get from my makeup.

I'd probably repurchase this, but I'd wait for it to be on special first.

I bought this powder because I needed something to set my foundation and happened upon it in Farmers. Because of its price I thought that it was worth trying. I am so glad that I bought it. It has lasted for ages and better yet, it makes my make up stay for ages! I have normal to oily skin and in summer my make up slips off my face if not set. I notice when I have and haven't used this. This product makes you look fresh as a daisy even after a humid day. Long story short, I love it and I'll be buying more. (I'm not sure how it performs in front of flash photography though)

I bought this in the hopes of fixing the fact that my makeup melts quite badly especially in the upper half of my forehead. I have combination skin and that part of my face can get quite oily. I used my usual foundation and then applied this product with a large brush to my forehead, nose and cheeks. Usually half way through the day the melting is starting to occur but with this I got home from work and my makeup was still perfect! I am really happy with this powder, it's a great investment at a fair price and will extend your makeup wear and prevent shine. I won't be using foundation without this ever again!

The first and only translucent finishing powder I have tried, and I'm hooked. It's a true translucent, and is very finely milled. With this stuff a little goes a long way - it has lasted me a very long time so far. It is affordable, and in my opinion makes you look airbrushed. I've never photographed myself in it with flash so I can't comment on any potential flashback. Overall this is an amazing buy and I will definitely be repurchasing.

I love this product. I do my makeup then I just my powder to set/blend my foundation and then I use this to top it off and really set it in place. I use an extra amount around my nose, center of forehead and middle of chin to stop my makeup from sliding/wearing off. I paid around $15 from farmers for it and its lasted ages!, a little go's a long way and it does exactly what it says. The case is durable and cute, fits in well with my other items.
