Maybelline Fit Me Shine-Free Stick Foundation Review

I have been using this for the last few days, i usually find that foundation in the stick form looks caked and makes my skin look extremely dry but i was happily surprised after using this the past few days. The sleek texture makes it easy to blend into my skin, and gives my face a flawless nude look. I find a little goes a long way in this foundation. The shades are good, I'm using pure beige at the moment and its perfect no orangey colouring to it. I think the packaging could have a little more design to it very plain for how good the foundation actually is. Over a good product would recommend friends to try it!

If you have semi noticable pores then this product will make them fully noticable. On my skin, even with a primer it stuck to my pores and didn't last very long at all. I bring it to school for touch ups, its not natural at all I find that it looks cakey and blotchy:( I had such high hopes for this product but it failed to impress/satisfy me.

The reason I kept picking this product while doing my makeup in the morning was because it was super easy to use and super blend able but also because it has been ge only drugstore foundation I have found that matches my skin perfectly. The range has many colours to choose from and there are also yellow and pink undertones as well, therefore allowing for a perfect match. However I did find that it runs out quite quickly. I don't think I use a lot, I only use around 5 or 6 swipes for my entire face and sometimes a little bit more on blemishes but it still seems to run out quickly. However with that being said, I know woke people who only use it as a touch up product, as in they take it on the go, so that would probably make the product last for awhile rather than using it all the time

This product is great for so many reasons! 1) It is a good compact size perfect for leaving in your purse for touch ups during the day. 2) It lasts on your face for a long time. 3) It comes in so many different shades, and is therefore versatile for contouring shades! I have 330 for contouring and it works great. 4) It does reduce shine and provides a nice coverage and matte finish. I would really recommend this as a touch up/contouring/highlighting product. It can be a little drying if it was used as a full face foundation cover.

I had seen some decent reviews here coupled with some YouTubers raving about how they use this stick foundation to just apply foundation where they needed it I was OK let's see what happens on my skin

Design wise, this chunky foundation stick is tied into the rest of the Fit Me range with its clear acrylic lid and black shiny barrel that contains the two toned stick inside it, with the logo and naming labelled in silver writing it looked a really nice product. Formula wise however this is where I started to see problems, the stick inside is made up of an outer solid foundation with a inner core of a lighter product which I found made it super sleek to run around my face, and trying to spot drop the product by dabbing on just left little reside of foundation on an area. I resorted to not using it as the coverage I was achieving was very patchy. Also I found that it's claim of being shine free didn't hold up even using it with a primer underneath still saw me with a shiny area around the T-Zone by midday.

Another thing is that I purchased the lightest shade and found that it wasn't colour matched with me enough being that it was too dark for my fair skin. Now all the other problems could simply be down to my skin type which is dry/combi which sees my T-Zone get a bit on the oily side halfway through the day.

It is a product that's not that hard to apply and feels nice on the skin but not sure if I highly recommend it. Think it will be a product I will learn to like and recommend for contour but not a full on foundation.

I picked this up yesterday in Countdown as I'd forgotten my foundation when packing to stay at MalloMr's for the weekend. I thought "oh it's probably not great at only $20" but I love it! It's really easy to apply and it seems a little goes a long way too. It gave me great coverage and a nice finish. It really does leave my skin with a nice matt finish and lasted well all night, even in my drunken state I still looked good! I really love that Maybelline keep the colours consistent along the range so I knew exactly what colour I needed without having to use the tester (although Countdown don't have testers) I applied it directly from the stick and used my brush to blend it out.

While reading the description for this product, it was ticking all the boxes! I loved the idea of a stick foundation - It's something i've never tried before and i was super keen to try! Unfortunately I did not like this product, I found it really hard to blend on my skin, i tried using a damp Beauty Blender, a buffing brush and my fingers but I still could not get an even coverage. When i did get this on my skin, I also found it went super oily quickly - Something this was not supposed to do! What happened to that anti-shine core? I do think this product would work good as a stick concealer though and i've heard many people also use this for contouring!

I love this stick foundation as I generally am holding a baby or child when getting ready in the morning. Quick as a flash I can apply my foundation with one hand and no worries about little fingers getting into it. One major selling factor for me was also the price, so I will definitely buy again!!

This product is really nice as it blends like a dream. I like the stick formation as it makes it easy to contour with. I think it is easier for those with tan skin to use this as a contour, as I am quite pale and struggled to find a shade that wasn't too orange for contouring. It is alright as a foundation, but for the whole shine free effect I have to use a mattifying powder with it. Overall its a good product but I personally would not repurchase.
