Australis AC on tour kit

I actually quite like it. The "banana" powder is awesome and so is the highlighting powder. I'm a wee bit iffy about the "fawn" colour though. It's kind if hard to blend out and in some places comes off patchy. All-in-all, I think it's great

Tips: Use contour and bronzing shades very sparingly. Also, tap off excess powder.

Possibly too pigmented but still good!

The highlights in this kit are awesome. The yellow powder is great for setting under eyes and the the shimmer colour is an awesome highlights that isn't too chunky and not too obnoxious.

The darker shades are VERY pigmented. Perhaps too much so for use on the face. You have to use a very light hand and be prepared to do a lot of blending.

I LOVE the darker shades for eye-shadow though! They work amazingly well and I find blend a lot easier on the eye-lid than on the face for some reason. I use them pretty much every day on my lids.

Tips: If you aren't getting a lot of use of the darker shades for contouring, try using them as eye-shadows. The pigmentation works super well for a brown smokey eye.

Contour Kit

I purchased the Australis contour kit after a friend suggested it to me as an alternative to the more expensive contour kit by Anastasia Beverly Hills. As a beginner in the world of contouring it was very handy to have the printed instructions on the back of the packaging which can be easily and always accessed. I found it took quite some time to get the amount of product right on my face as it is quite pigmented and can sometimes become hard to blend in. I've found that using a very light hand and little product can end in your desires look. In the end it is a pretty good product which is affordable!

Tips: Light hand & little product

Good for the price

I bought this as we all know contouring kits are in right now and this was super cheap. Straight away I noticed the bronzing powders were very pigmented so I had to blend blend blend as i put on a lot of product!! They work pretty well though if you use them correctly.

Tips: Use sparingly!

Hate it!

I really don't like giving products such bad reviews but I actually despise this product. It is so chunky and chalky and powdery and the contour shades are too muddy for my nc25 skin tone. I wish I hadn't wasted my money. This product is just sitting in my drawer not living it's life.

I did try hard to get it to work but it just wasn't happening. The only thing worth using is the highlighter.

You get what you pay for...

This kit is cheap! Realistically you get what you pay for. Instead of spending a ridiculous amount of money on a more quality product this can do the job. While I noticed while using the powders there is quite a lot of wastage as the product lifts as soon as a brush touches it and sits on top of the powder. There are three different contour shades. There are clear instructions on the back of how "best" to contour using the palette which is great for beginners! The banana powder seems to be the favourite powder in the kit for many, but not myself. I found because of winter my skin is getting dry. When I used the banana powder to set the concealer under my eyes it was dry and sitting on top clearly so I had to wipe it off! Therefore I would not recommend this palette to people with dry skin. Overall, it is not a bad palette for the price. Is great for beginners and I feel the contour shades can be easily blended out and built up for a more intense look!

Tips: Use a soft and gentle brush to pickup product

AC on tour

I actually really like this, it is very affordable and it is a great dupe for the Anastasia Beverley Hills one or the Kat Von Dee shade and light Palette. There's three darker shades for contouring and bronzing and also a really nice banana powder for highlight under the eyes. Overall it is a great kit and I would recommend this to anyone that doesn't want to pay expensive prices for the higher end contour palettes.

Surprisingly good

I bought this product as a way to get a free gift at farmers not thinking much of this but I really like it.

Firstly, the pallete itself has nice sturdy packaging with clear slips to keep the product from moving. This pallete is a little on the small size but is a good realistic size for the price paid. The powders when used are very powdery and make a lot of mess from the excess powder which is hard to prevent. This fall out causes product to be wasted which is unfortunate.

I think all the brown contour shades look very similar which is disapointing. They are quite muddy and hard to work with. However, there is a great pigment on these colours.

The 1st colour on the pallete which is the white shade is really good as a setting powder both for highlighting or normal setting. I did find that using this for those reasons did help make my makeup set in place and was long wearing. It is a very heavy product however so apply with caution and dab your tool of choice very lightly tapping off the excess

The banana shade in this pallete is lovely even though it is harder to use that normal powders because of its chalky consistency. I found that it was good for highlighting yet took a while to blend to look natural and not like an actual banana.

The highlight shade is lovely and complements pale skin very well (because I'm pale) and It is very pigmented which is great.

Overall, this pallete is a 50/50 for me I enjoy the top section a lot yet the bottom lacks for me.

Tips: This product is very powdery and picks up a lot of product so be light with your desired tool and tap off the excess. Make sure to use a littlest possible then build up to your desired look.

Total hit or miss

After hearing lots of rave and comparison to the ABH kit I decided to pick this up in Farmers when there was a BOGO special.

The first thing I noticed was the crazy pigmentation! I usually swirl my brush but with this palette I found I needed to lightly tap my brush in the pan. It's not very easy to blend so you really do need to build it up slowly. I didn't really find the highlight (shades 1 & 3) really useful, as they weren't my preference for highlighting and too pale to set foundation with. The banana shade (2) is super great for setting my undereye highlight, luckily I'm quite warm toned so it doesn't have a weird yellow-y look on me.

Shades 4 and 6 are both great for bronzing however again I have other bronzers that I usually reach for so these 2 are pretty much untouched. Shade 5 is where the real contouring comes in. This is by far the best contour shade for me, it's cool toned so it mimics a shadow really well. It gives me a nice chiseled look.

I wouldn't buy this again just for the fact that I only really use 2 of the colours. I didn't find many other problems with this palette, apart from the slightly chalky consistency this palette was very easy to use. I'm just disappointed I couldn't get more use out of the other shades.

Tips: Use sparingly. As with all contour palettes, just buy an eyeshadow or bronzer that's good for contouring as you most likely won't be able to get use out of the entire palette.

Great for the price!

I was so stoked to find this because I had wanted to start contouring a lot more and this was so handy to have. It has 3 contour shades and 3 highlight shades, they're super pigmented and really powdery so a light hand is definitely needed when working with this product. I only really use 4 of the 6 shades though. I think it's definitely worth the price, even if you just want to start out with contouring
