Unfortunately I was a little disappointed with this product. I got the lightest shade available and it didn't match my skin tone at all as it was too dark for me, which is quite odd because my skin isn't really that pale. I think they should have a better selection of color choices. Other then that, the product has a nice scent, nice and fresh smelling, making it nice to apply. The formula was also really nice, a great consistency and really creamy. I was able to apply this with my fingers and it went on like a dream. I didn't notice anything major change in my skin appearance, but maybe this is a product that needs to be used for a while before you notice any major changes. I felt like the product was quite hydrating on my skin, but I didn't really feel like it evened out my skin tone as blemishing and scarring was still quite noticeable underneath, I know a BB cream isn't supposed to be high coverage, but I still like things to be covered up a bit!
A major plus for me with this product is that it has a SPF which is always a great thing, so this product would probably work really well for me in the summer rather than winter.
All in all, for its price, its a good product. Its a good size so you get your moneys worth as you don't need to use a lot of product, unless your trying to build it up. If this were the right color match for me I would most likely buy it again, but the color is just too off for me.
I recently received Garnier Skin Naturals BB Cream (Anti-Aging) in Light to review. Being new to BB Creams, the only experience I have had has been what I had read and heard about this newish phenomenon. From this, I thought this BB Cream would be similar to a tinted moisturiser. Boy was I wrong about that! It is thick, almost like a full-on foundation. I wanted to give it a good go, so I tried various ways of applying this product. On the first day I put a bit on my hands and applied it how I would apply a moisturiser. What can I say – that was a bad idea. It felt thick, greasy and sticky all day – and what’s worse, it ended up all over my scarf and my jacket collar. The next time I put it on, I moisturised first and then applied it with a foundation brush and then set it with powder. This worked slightly better, but still felt greasy and caked on. And yes, it still smudged off fairly easily. For the next attempt, I applied it by fingertip – but sparingly and made sure I really rubbed it in. Unfortunately, it still felt like it was caked on, but didn’t smudge off as easily. Now, I would like to say a quick word about the colour. I know the term ‘Light’ is a fairly subjective term, but this product is much too dark for pale skin with freckles; especially during winter. All of the above notwithstanding, the aspect of this product that bothered me the most was the scent, which was really overwhelming. In this review, I feel I must address the specific product claims made about Garnier Skin Naturals BB Cream Anti-Aging. Firstly, that it reduces wrinkles (and that “in 4 weeks skin appears smoother for 86% of women”). I personally cannot see any change, but I’ve used it less than one week. Secondly, it claims to tighten the skin. Again, I have not noticed any change. Thirdly, it is claimed that it evens and illuminates the skin. Possibly, if covering with a much darker shade than my normal skin is what they mean by evening out the tone. As for illuminating my complexion, once again, I did not notice this. Would I use it again? Maybe in the summer when I had a bit of a tan, but in the winter, it is much too dark for me. Further, if Garnier removed the scent, it would be much more appealing. All in all, not a terrible product, but as it is now (colour and scent), it is not for me.
