Honey Tint BB Cream - Not enough coverage

I got this in the honey tint (The Bardot) as I much prefer a dewy finish over a matte finish (and powder can always be applied to dewy products to make them matte anyhow).

First of all I love all the natural ingredients in this product and have found it great on my sensitive skin. However, despite this it just didn't perform the way I hoped it would.

I found it gave hardly any coverage (my slight redness and dark under eye circles not covered at all) and found it felt weirdly sticky on my skin (I have dry skin so I usually don't experience this as my skin sucks up any moisture). I applied pressed mineral powder overtop to combat this sticky feel and it worked well but still just didn't provide enough coverage. Considering this is marketed as mid coverage I was highly disappointed as I found it was light coverage at best, just evening out my skin tone ever so slightly.

Overall. I would not repurchase this as my skin would need to be flawless for this to look great and if my skin was that flawless I wouldn't need such a product. Also considering its hefty price tag I expected great things. Sorry for the bad review as so many others seem to have had a great experience with this product. I really wanted to like this as I love a lot of the other Oasis Beauty products, but this one just missed the mark with me.

Light in Coverage and Staying Power

After reading so many rave reviews about this product I had high expectations, especially with being a higher-priced BB cream and being full of so many natural goodies. We all have different skin types and unfortunately Oasis' BB Cream wasn't for me.

I have oily, acne-prone skin that is more yellow-toned. I got a sample of the BB cream in The Bardot, which is for 'light-medium warm skin tones, mid coverage, dewy finish'. The formula itself felt quite thick in the sample pot, which I thought may lead it to having quite good coverage. I applied it with my fingers and found it really hard to blend this into my skin, it took quite awhile and when I was done I wasn't impressed with the result. The finish was definately dewy, but it provided hardly any coverage whatsoever, more like a tinted moisturiser. Regarding it's staying power, even when set with powder I found it didn't really last that long on my skin, looking like it was wearing off in sections. I also disliked how it felt upon my skin, very heavy like it was clogging my pores.

Unfortunately the colour was also completely wrong for my skin tone too, I could have been better off with The Hepburn maybe but The Bardot was far too light and pink-toned for my yellow-toned complexion.

This product seems to work for many people, it just wasn't right for me and I wouldn't repurchase. I would recommend this more for people with more cool/pink-toned colouring and dry/normal skin.

Tips: Make sure you obtain a sample of this before purchasing to see if it works for you, it seems like quite a hit or miss product.

Oasis BB

I wanted to like the Oasis BB creams but I really just dont. I've tried both the Monroe and the Bardot and neither were great but the Monroe was by far better. It has a matte finish and more coverage than the Bardot, which I found made my skin look shiny but didnt provide nearly enough coverage. They both feel awfully heavy and oily on my skin and make it feel quite uncomfortable from the moment I apply it. I have a trial of the Hepburn to try out as well but I think it will be too dark - I might use it as a leg bronzer instead.

Not the BB for Me!

I was a BB Virgin - when I initially tried this product and since trying other BB's I realise that this one wasn't the one for me - even though I wanted to love it.

My initial impression was of slight disappointment due to the fact that it was very runny and difficult to apply. However, as I'd heard so much wonder surrounding the 'BB' and I usually love Oasis products, I was determined not to give up on it.

On the plus side, the coverage is very natural and lasts well but I just can't get used to (or like) the dewy finish, it just feels greasy maybe I the one with the powder finish is better.

Tips: I experimented and found the best way to apply was to warm it up in my hand a little and dot around my face and then blend.

Not what I hoped for...

I am always trying to find a product that is made of mostly natural ingredients and if it's organic even better.

I received this as a sample pot to try. I really wanted to like this product because I really liked some of the other Oasis products, however, it just didn't work for me.

I find the texture to be really difficult to spread (I used my fingers to apply it as if it were a moisturizer), it feels really waxy on. The finish is very shiny, I don't find that it dries to a power finish at all. As for it being full coverage as it says in the product description, I would have to say its more of a sheer coverage. It could not cover up my pimple and discoloration from recent healing pimple scars and doesn't really help with covering my very light sun spots on my cheek bones.

The only thing great about it for me is that it is moisturizing and that it is a natural product.

Tips: I find it spreads a little bit better if you dab the product as dots all over the face, then blend it.

Sub-par product

Packaging and price: To start with I like the packaging, I think it is cute simple and easy to get product out. It is definitely not the cheapest product out there though so get a free sample first off their website to ensure it is right for you.

The product: I got the BB cream in The Bardot, which is for 'light-medium warm skin tones, mid coverage, dewy finish'. I am actually cool-toned but none of their bb creams are cool toned which I found disappointing so I got this one.

I found that this product had almost zero coverage so I was very disappointed. It has quite a thick consistency so you really have to work the product into your skin. I also found that it didn't smell very nice at all so was not enjoyable to apply to my face.

The only thing I guess this product did that it said it would was to make my face semi-dewy.

Overall was very disappointed in this product and I would not buy it again.

Tips: Get a free sample before you buy the full sized product to ensure that you like it!

Yuck!

After seeing so many good things about this I decided to give it a try...it was awful! Didn't have any coverage on my skin, was really hard to work with and the lightest colour is just so dark! It felt like a sticky, heavy mess on my skin so I had to remove it straight away, would not use it again. Very disappointed.

Wondering if I got a bad batch as people seem to love it. For the price I was definitely expecting something amazing.

Ridiculous for the price

This product works well to improve your skin, but is not an overly effective concealer. Oasis BB Cream has a lovely smooth consistency and is easy to apply to your skin. It requires only a small amount to be appplied, and thus should last you a long time. It has worked well at improving my skin, although I experienced a minor break out as my skin adjusted to the product. My only criticism is that because it is so light and smooth, it does not work as an overly effective product for my sensitive skin so would rather not buy again

Not sold on this one

I received a sample of this with the Oasis Moisturiser. Unfortunately I won't be purchasing the full size product. I just don't think the product was a good fit for my skin type and my face looked very dry and flaky at the end of the day with this BB cream. I found I looked worse than if I had nothing on. This is not something you want in a beauty product.... I'm not sure if it was the product itself or my skin, so I would test it before you purchase.

If you still have it, you could try a little coat of oil on your skin before applying it?

Very little pigment, disappointing

I was quite excited to try out the BB creams from Oasis, they sent me samples for both the light and medium tints as I wasn't sure which I would be. While the customer service is certainly great, unfortunately the BB creams were disappointing. I found that there was little difference in the two shades and neither managed to cover any small blemishes on my face. The price is also quite steep for the amount. I'm used to korean BB creams which are much cheaper and have much better and more natural looking coverage.

Tips: Pass on these, instead look online for korean BB creams
