As a professional beauty therapist I have used and tried many different nail varnish brands and types over the years. Revlon polishes have never disappointed me. I’m loving this new gel effect range, you get the gel look without the need to soak them off!! The colour range is great too!!

I’ve tried a lot of products to see how long they can last and this has a good 5 day wear that still looks pretty good!
Tried heaps of nail polishes before and they all seem to chip on me instantly! Whereas with the revlon nail polishes I’ve tried 3 colours and all of them seem to last me a decent week which is crazy for me! Would 100% recommend over some other overrated nail polish brands!
This is a fantastic nail polish that leaves your nails with a gel like effect, without the fuss of gel nail polish. There is a wide variety of colours available and when used with the top and base coat, there is an optimal gel like appearance. The nail polish is long lasting, but is easily removed unlike regular gel polish. The formula is wonderful and leaves my nails streak free and smooth as well. Will definitely use again!
Tips: Use with top coat for an even better finish
I didn't mind this nail polish, it does last longer than standard nail polish which on me is about a day (lol). But the colors are lacking sparkly holo. Aside from that, I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a better than standard nail polish.
Use the base coat and am generally pleased with the result. Even when I have used a dark colour my nails have not stained. Comes with a curved brush which I like as it applies nicely along my cuticles. Base coat does have a creamy/milky tint so sets a good foundation before colour is applied. In this range I also use multiple colours. Again they have the curve brush which makes for easy application. When applied evenly and dried between coats this polish has a nice finish.
Tips: Make sure you dry fully between coats. Don't apply too thickly.
Used this polish and the color looked amazing but it was thick and gluggy and took ages to dry. kinda thinking I needed a light for it to dry under like the salons.... tried it a few more times with the same result.
The top coat is my go to! With a base coat and the Revlon diamond top coat you can make ANY nail polish look perfect! I'm a stay at home mum so get pretty rough and messy and I can go a week before getting a chip. I love it!
I bought a few Revlon Colourstay Gel Envy polishes as well as the diamond top coat as I was tired of spending so much money at nail salons. However I was pretty disappointed with the results. I found the polish was quite thick (which I know it is supposed to give a gel effect, but it just didn't look great in my opinion). The finish was average. Also, the weirdest part was the diamond top coat made the polish develop little lumps. I tried it several times and got the same result. I even tried it on other brands of nail polish and got the same thing. Felt like I wasted a lot of money. Would never buy this range again. Disappointed as I like a lot of Revlon products.
I purchased two shades (Beginners Luck and Queen of Hearts) from Farmer's as the "chip resistant" characteristic was quite appealing. Beginners Luck is a very pale pink, shimmery tone which is very subtly pretty, whilst Queen of Hearts is a very deep, eyecatching red.
I found application quite difficult and messy due to the unusually shaped, thin brush style - product dripped easily and it was difficult to apply to the confines of the nail in comparison to other brands such as Sally Hansen Miracle Gel. Application was actually more difficult with the Queen of Hearts Shade as it appeared much thinner and runnier than Beginners Luck and was far less opaque.
The gel finish is quite nice on the nail and true to description, however, in terms of longevity, I was quite disappointed as I started to see chips after two days.
Overall, if I was going for a gel finish I'd use Sally Hansen instead as application is far more straightforward with an equally good shade range.
Tips: The formula drips easily so best to be careful not to get too much on the brush. :)
