I like them for cute nail art polishes. I think they're an average product and that the glitter ones have a much longer staying power. I like to use them for special days like St patricks, Valentines or Halloween. I think they are worth it for the price.
My nail polish rack contains a couple of these but I don't find myself reaching for them often. Although the formula is nice and the brush is thin and easy to manipulate, I think toothpicks or a normal detail brush dipped in my other polishes work just as well :)
While I do love LA girl products, this one is a bit icky. Although it does the job, the brush is super long which makes it difficult to control. However it is very thin, which makes it easy to draw and the colours are vibrant and opaque.
I saw these for $3 each at postie so at that price i decided to grab a few and give them a go, considering how cheap these are they're pretty cool! As a lot of others have said in the reviews the brush is quite long which can make for a bit of awkwardness, but i actually cut a bit off the tips and the brush is so thin that it worked, didn't make the ends too stubby so that application becomes clumsy. I found that cutting a little bit off the tips gave me better control of the brush, only cut a couple of millimeters off and more or less on a 45 degree angle.
These are great for drawing simple straight lines on the finger nails and other simple designs or shapes like zig-zags or stars, not much good for doing curved lines i tried drawing hearts with these and it just wasnt happening although i don't the steadiest hand when comes to tiny intricate detailing.. But maybe that's just because i get a bit anxious about doing a good job because if you stuff up something like that it looks terribly tack.
The quality of the enamel is good, lasted on my nails without chipping for around 3 days so for the price of the product you can't really go wrong. Will i purchase these again? Probably not i'm keen to experiment with other nail art products as it's something i haven't had a lot of experience with, but they were fun to play with and i might purchase them as a gift.
I did love the ease and the bright colours of the art deco nail polishes.
The long skinny brush makes it easy to achieve stripes/lines and dots, flowers, squiggles, rainbows, oh gosh it's endless.
I did find it has a strong nail polish stink, that gives me a headache, I'd highly recommend a well ventilated room!
The polishes itself don't last that well eg do not use them as a full polish. I tried a gradient with them.
However perfect for nail art only. :)
For the price why not pick up a few and do a different them on each nail?
I would have loved some more variety eg pastel colours?
Tips: Use in a well ventilated room.
the product comes with a handy fine tipped brush and with a steady hand you can get some great looks the price is good and as long as you do not apply it too thickly the design stays on for a fair while some people would prefer nail art pens because they are a bit easier but they can get blocked up easily so these possibly have a longer shelf life if stored carefully. The packaging is okay
To jump right into it, the polish is not the greatest quality. It can be quite watery and you can tell you get what you pay for. The brush, however, I really liked for nail art. I am not sure it would be so great for fancy designs, but for stripes it works really well. The long brush can almost lay across your nail for a straight line and this makes it a lot easier to use.
Would I buy again: probably not. It is a good place to trial nail art, but personally I will be trying other brands.
Tips: Lay the long brush over your nail and slowly drag it for great straight stripes!
I bought these when I wanted to start doing more detailed nail art rather than my usual one solid colour mani. These worked great at first although I thought the brush was a little too thick but once they hadn't been used that frequently anymore they started to get quite lumpy. I hadn't had them for too long when they started getting thicker, I notices the white started to get much thicker a lot faster than the other colours I had.
These are cute little nail polishes that come in some really great, bright and funky shades which is cool if you want to embrace your creative side.
I used the white one, just for polker dots. I found the brush to be okay, but it needed to be a bit firmer. It was hard for me to control but maybe that is just because I am uncoordinated!
It also got a little bit blobby on the end of the brush, so I had a whole lot more on my nail then I expected which was unfortunate.
I ended up just using it as a normal nail polish and it works really well in that regard! Not hard or flaky or anything.
For a cheap and cheerful nail polish this works really well, however if I was trying to do more sophisticated and precise designs I would use something else.
