I recently discovered an Essence stand at my local Farmers and I was so excited! Finally we are getting more affordable brands. Also a brand that I have heard readily praised on Youtube.
First of all the colour range is fantastic! There is definitely a colour option there for everyone, from glittery polishes to pinks, blues, reds, naturals and teals. I opted for a darker cherry hue.
The formula is really nice, just right id say, not to thick, not to thin. It applies smoothly and evenly and its quite opaque, two coats gives you the perfect colour payoff.
It dries quickly and wears fairly well, not quite as long as other nail polish brands I own but for the price that doesn't worry me.
I'd happily own them all xo
I have been obsessed with Essence for a long time. I used it while living in South Africa and after 2 years of being in NZ, it is here!! :) The colour and go nail polish is so affordable it would be silly to not try it out and once you try it you will love it. I love how the packaging is in the colour of the polish so it makes finding the one you are looking for (in a large collection) very easy. The colour pay off is so good, most of them looking and applying exactly like they look in the bottle. For all of them you only need two coats and i have a few that are very wearable with only one coat. I find they do take a bit of time to dry but i just do thin layers and that solves that. I love the brush as well i would compare the thickness to OPI but it is much more narrow (flatter) making application easy. They also last very well and chipping is minimal. i really love these and i definitely think they are a must have for nail polish lovers.
Tips: Try 2-3 thin coats, waiting for each layer to dry first this helps them to last longer without chipping.
