I have to say I haven't been absolutely blown away by these as I expected to be. I have purchased two so far. The good points are that they smell amazing, they are not sticky at all and have relatively good pigmentation for a gloss. I think they are sort of thick feeling on the lips though and maybe that is why I am not 100% sold on them at this point. I adore one of the colours I got (maple blondie) but feel the other (strawberry parfait) is sort of a weirdly coloured pink. I wouldn't wear the latter alone but it's nice over a lippy.

Tips: Wipe the applicator on the tube first and apply a couple of layers to build up colour.
I'm a big NYX fan, I have a small collection of their products and am slowly getting that collection bigger! I'd been wanting to try this gloss out for a while as it has such great reviews but I'm not the biggest gloss fan as I hate stickiness. Anyway, I ordered this off beauty joint along with a few other goodies not long ago. I got the colour Eclair, a pretty light pink. I like the tube, it's compact so would easily fit in a wallet or pocket and the colour of the tube is a pretty good match of the colour inside. It smells good, really sweet and gives a light sheer colour that is not sticky at all. I have worn this alone and over lipstick and I like how it looks both ways. I definitely want more colours to try out now. It's not hugely long wearing, but lets face it- what lipgloss is???
Tips: apply small amount
All over instagram I've seen this Nyx brand. Its an American drugstore brand that seems to be quite popular amongst make up artists. I've had this line on my wish list for a while now and I've been wanting to give them a try. I was very fortunate to win a Nyx prizepack online. Almost everything I had been wanting to try is in this pack.
The packaging came to me fully sealed. I opened it up to find that I was given Tiramisu. I like how the packaging identifies the type of coloured gloss. This packaging is made of plastic , has the cool Nyx design on it with a brief descrpition of what this lip gloss is like. I open it up to find a wand with a soft applicator sponge. The texture of this gloss is slightly sticky. This gloss smells like sweet caramel . So yummy. The colouring of this gloss is a nude. On my lips it looks very opaque.
When I apply this with this sponge applicator it feels smooth on my lips. I can smell the sweet caramel scent and try to stop myself from eating it lol. It doesn't last very long with eating and drinking and you will need to apply more on.
Overall its such a cute gloss. From the pakaging through to the scent. I'm not really a gloss person but I would definately use this one. I think at eight dollars its fairly priced, I think I've seen it being sold for more than this price online. So far I've gotten plenty of uses out if it. I'd happy buy it.
I was gifted one from another Beauty Review member (so thankful) in the colour Ginger Snap. I was so excited because I missed out on these in the last two vaults.
They come in a 8ml tube and will cost around $8.00. There is a good range of colours so you will definitely find one to suit you.
The first thing that struck me was the way it smelt. It reminded me of fresh cooked cookies. Yummo.
This is a lovely gloss to apply, it goes onto your lips smoothly. You can build the colour up if you want a deeper colour, or just one swipe for a light cover. I did not find it to be sticky and for a gloss, it lasted a good length of time.
I will be looking to purchase this lip gloss in more colours. It is a fun product to use.
Whenever I need a new gloss I always turn to NYX, their butter glosses are honestly one of the best I've tired, it's definitely worth more than the RRP. I also use it with the lipstick which makes it 100% better
These smell soooo good! I like these glosses, comfortable to wear as far as glosses go but I do find them a little goopy in consistency and will glue your hair to you lips when doing the hair flick ;) but they are really lovely to add a touch of gloss on top of your lipstick , or wear alone on more natural days. i don't find them super pigmented and are really just a soft tint. The range of shades is pretty impressive, and the packaging is really cute.
I bought this product in NYC a few years ago (I was excited to get NYX as it wasn't available in NZ then). It feels lovely and light. It is great for a low-key day out.
These are my all time favourite glosses! So smooth and so pigmented, especially for a gloss! I have Eclair, Apple Strudel and Peaches and Cream, and they are all reasonably long wearing for glosses, although they do require some reapplication if you are wearing them all day but that is to be expected. They're so cheap and really perform well for the price, they are not sticky and they have a very pleasant scent as well. They also do give your lips a gorgeous, plump and lush look. I love these and will be buying lots more!
Tips: Layer over the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams for the longest wearing lip colour of all time - like seriously.
My heart may have skipped a beat when I bought these from a lovely on here. NYX had always been just out of reach for me. I was beyond ecstatic to have a couple of these babies finally in Red Velvet and Raspberry Tart. Red Velvet is a dark intense red/crimson that is described perfect by its name. Raspberry Tart is a purple/fuchsia colour. The tubes they come in are the colour of the butter gloss itself which appeals to the eye.
They come with a sponge wand applicator to make it easier to get even coverage and so your fingers remain clean. The only thing that annoys me about that it I can't open it to get right to the bottom of the tube once I start running out.
The consistency is rather sticky but I can get past that because the colour on my lips is gorgeous! I didn't expect the colour to be so vibrant. Usually when it's a gloss it's more of a washed out version of what it shows but this is pretty true to what you see.
I love to wear these on days when my lips could use a little moisturising and when lipstick just isn't doing it for me. They leave my lips feeling soft and smooth which is a bonus. The only problem I have personally is they don't last on my lips long enough. I get that they are glosses but I would like a little more wear out of them. I actually like to wear these over lipsticks I have to give it an extra punch of colour and a new depth.
All in all, I think these are a great alternative to lipstick and if you like gloss. They give you a little burst of colour while not being too in your face like lipstick can often be. They are definitely worth the money and I am now on a mission to get them in more colours to complete my set.
Tips: Wear over lipsticks with the same kind of colour pigments to give them a shine and also a new depth
I love these lip glosses! They are really pigmented so you can use them without a lipstick if you wanted. I bought mine online as you cant purchase these anywhere in New Zealand. I currently only have a few colours but i defiantly want to purchase some other ones! The smell of this product is also AMAZING.
