Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick Review

I've been looking for a perfect brown lipstick (a la Shelley from Twin Peaks) for a long time now, and that dream was recently fulfilled when I was given a Colour Sensational Honey Beige lipstick as a gift. It glides on so easily and feels so smooth on your lips. It's got a great amount of pigment to it and seems to last a while without any smudging or cracking. In saying that, I wouldn't want to eat or drink with it because being so buttery, it does transfer really easily. The bullet is nice and narrow so it's easy to apply accurately without a brush. It does have a really faint smell to it that is hard to describe, it's not really noticeable enough to be a turnoff though. I don't think the packaging looks that great, but it works and honestly that's not what I'm buying it for anyway. The shade itself is gorgeous, I'm very very happy with how it looks on.

Have gotten two of these and love the colours and the feel of then on ur lips feel so soft and moisturising i like how it covers my lips like its not patchy and its not sticky :) will so buy again and its easy to get as supermarkets have a range of maybelline

I love these lipsticks, i own a couple of browny nudes and they are so amazing! Why? the selection of colors is great you have a color to suit everyone and The packaging number 1 is so cute and looks really nice (not cheap) you can fit them easily in a purse of bag and they don't melt! good for a night out! The formula is so creamy, smooth and long acting that it moisturises your lips while giving a really nice pigmentation to them. not only that but you only have to fix it up every couple of hours. Try the product! if you are looking for a value with your money - this is the brand to buy.

I have one of these lispticks in the Mango Diamonds shade and although it was SUPER SUPER moisturising i found that it behaved a lot more like a tinted lip balm than a lipstick. the colour was very sheer and transparent and there was a little too much gloss in it which made it last a very short amount of time. the way i solved this problem though was that i de-tubed it and put it in a little lip balm pot. i still use it and i like it a lot better now.

I started off getting one of these lipsticks to try out and honestly, the colours are amazing! So i went out and bought 5 more. Colours very pigmented - bright and vibrant (i especially like pink punch) They are quite long lasting and not drying at all. Application is incredibly easy which is something i always look for in a lipstick. Retailing around $20 and sometimes on sale for around $8-10 i think this is a bargain! would recommend for people who are wanting to try out some colour but not spend a fortune.

I have one of these in the shade Vivid Rose. It is a vibrant pink. It is creamy, pigmented and really easily to apply. So many beautiful colours too

This is my next choice other then mac. I use the plum perfect colour. It is such a deep tone and stays on my lips well IF I moisturize before. The colour like I said is very rich and makes a nice lip line. It doesn't fade down my lips onto my face. I also love how it isn't matte. and has a little bit of moisture in it <3 One also thing which I hate for the mac lipsticks but love there colour is that is stains my lips and as I wear very dark colours I wake up in the morning looking like I had a very long night. This lip stick comes off so easy with makeup remover.

Fushia Flash is the colour I received in my BRBB & while it is a colour I would probably would not have purchased myself, I LOVE it! Wonderful bright pink, colour goes on easily, feels lovely and smooth and nourishing.

The packaging is lovely, bright case and I can use the reflecting end as a mirror when topping up at my desk. Stays on well.

I have FUCHSIA FLASH, a bright pink, and this is my favourite lipstick I own. It last so long that after being out partying and back home I still have pink lips!

I tried this lipstick as part of a long lasting lipstick quest. The colour was well pigmented and the resulting colour nice and strong, however the lipstick smeared quite easily which is not all that practical when on your lips which move regularly to talk, eat, drink, subconsciencely lick or bite your lips etc. I did find pairing the lipstick with a lip liner greatly reduced this.

In terms of longevity this lipstick didn't have quite the staying power I would expect from a Maybelline lipstick. What Maybelline did meet expectations on was the range of lipstick colours available. Plenty of selection as usual. They also meet expectation by creating a lipstick that felt creamy and smooth to wear.

In terms of packaging, stylish and simple. And a classic bullet lipstick in a retractable lipstick tube.

It looked pretty but for the price I think I could possibly find better.
