L'Oreal Paris Rouge Signature Ink Reviews

Number one - the colour I had wasn't what I would normally go for (dark brown), so I had to really "Try" to use this as much as I can. That being said, every coffee I finished, the lip colour was gone and I had to re-apply again and again and again. Whilst the formula is very light (yes you don't feel like you're wearing a lip colour), it is a bit cumbersome to apply the lip after every sip of coffee you have - at least for me it wasn't ideal.

I was super lucky to be able to be part of this amazing trial, thanks BR! I got the shade 105 I Rule, which is a lovely pinky, mauve colour. It comes in a frosted plastic tube with an angled doe foot applicator.

I am not a huge lipstick wearer as my lips are so thin and most lipsticks just wear away on me super fast. I really like the applicator on this, I was able to get precise lines and not end up looking like a clown. The formula is quite wet, but I like this as it give me a great coverage.

It dries down matte after a few minutes. It feels really comfortable and lightweight on my lips. I make sure I prep my lips well beforehand though, I always use a lip scrub then swipe on a little lip balm. This lipstick never looks dry at all.

I get very little transfer. It does a great job at staying put. I also don't end up with lippie all over my front teeth which is a pet peeve of mine. It also doesn't look horrible after eating or drinking. However when it does wear off it leaves a bright pink stain lol it's not bad but I'm not fond of bright pink on me personally. The stain is there until you remove it.

It is a lovely lipstick and I would definitely like to try out more colours in the range. I'm keen to see if others had the same issue of the bright pink stain though.

I was really excited to receive this L'Oreal Paris Rouge Signature Ink in shade 113 - I Don't. And then I opened it and tried it....

The formula is very different to what I was used to. L'Oreal even harps on about it's "unique oil in water" formula which is supposed to make it lightweight, and the "ultimate bare-lip sensation". But really, I just found the formula too watery. It took a fair few swipes to get any colour build-up and then it took a while to dry (too long for me with young children clambering around my knees). It took a good 10 minutes (I timed it!) for me to be able to kiss anything without the colour transferring.

Once it was dry, it was lightweight, I'll give it that. But my lips did get a bit dry and the product didn't last a long time. In fact, it gradually faded throughout the day into a more pink (which is weird given how pillbox red it was). So it needed reapplying a couple of times throughout the day just to keep the colour. It didn't bleed though so that's a bonus.

Then....at the end of the day, removing the product was HARD. In fact, I still had pink lips the next day. My husband came home after I'd removed it and asked if I had lipstick on. That's how much was left.

I also didn't rate the applicator. While in theory it should work well, the angle was weird for me (was it cause of me being left handed?) and I just couldn't nail it properly.

All in all, a disappointing product that I won't bother trying or buying again.

I absolutely love this lip colour and formula. I received the colour 'I Don't' which is a perfect mid-tone red - not too orange and not too blue based. This is a stunning colour that really could be worn by everyone no matter their skin tone.

The wand was really unique to anything else I have in my collection and the very pointed tip was perfect to create a straight lip line. The pigment is extream and you only need to use a little to get the full effect. I found I did not need a lip liner for this and there was no feathering around the edges.

While this formula does dry down to a matte is not that super drying formula of the past but rather extremely lightweight and comfortable to wear. I wore it on my last day of work and it comfortably lasted over 10 hours on my lips without needing to be touched up.

As with most liquid lipsticks, this one does transfer/dissolve if you have eaten any oily food. So just something to be aware of and maybe skip it of your going out to get a burger.

I was full of nervous excitement when it came to trialing the L'Oreal Paris Rouge Signature Ink due to previous experiences with liquid lipsticks turning my lips into a dry, cracked mess for days after using however I did not need to worry about that with this product. I have never felt a lipstick glide on so beautifully ... it felt heavenly to apply and my lips were left feeling moisturised.

The applicator was pointed which was fantastic for getting a good angle at my cupids bow and made an easy and effective trace around my lips before filling in. There was no need for a lip pencil and the lipstick didn't 'bleed'.

I was not overly partial to the shape of the handle - I found it quite awkward to maneuver. It was 95% round and then had a thin rectangular shape which was not comfortable or useful when using.

I would definitely try it again in a colour that would suit me. I trialed 129 'I Lead' and it was far from any lipstick colour I would ever wear ... a reddish/orangy/brown shade. The colour on my lips was definitely the same as the colour of the liquid you could see through the clear container so for me it was true to colour which was a plus.

The packaging was simple but effective and you could see the colour you would be working with.

I got sent the shade 129 "I Lead" to trial. It's a pretty dark pink/nude colour. The packaging is pretty standard for a liquid lipstick. The applicator is flat, pointed and quite different from others I've seen. I found it easier to use than the standard doe foot applicator I'm used to.

It goes on pigmented and I didn't need to use much product for my whole lips. It's quite thick and creamy in texture. It didn't feel or look drying on my lips at all, and makes my lips look really good once applied. It doesn't dry down completely, but doesn't end up a mess all over my face. It does have quite a strong scent, kind of surgary? Not unpleasant, but something to note.

It doesn't last on my lips as long as I would like. After eating and over time it would fade and disappear. I didn't mind this so much as it's easy to reapply during the day and still feels hydrating on my lips after several applications. If I didn't reapply, though, it would be completely gone after a few hours.

I think $30 is a fair price. I might consider buying more shades if I didn't already own a ton of lipsticks lol.

Wow! That is the best word to describe this liquid lipstick. I have struggled for such a long time to find a product that was long lasting, but didn’t make my lips feel dry or heavy. This product 100% exceeds my expectations.

The liquid ink glides onto my lips smoothly and takes only seconds to dry. One application provides perfect coverage and the colours and matte finish are stunning. The product feels so light and natural that I often completely forget I am even wearing it. It absolutely delivers on the promise of the ‘ultimate bare-lip sensation’!

It is also super long lasting! I put it on in the morning, eat and drink normally throughout the day, and the colour is still perfectly in place in the evening! This is certainly one of the longest lasting lip colours I have found, and definitely the most natural feeling.

All of this in one product would be enough to sell it to me, but these are not even my favourite part of this product. My absolutely favourite part is the unique applicator for this liquid ink colour. It is the ultimate shape to perfectly apply my lip colour without having worry about lining my lips. Being a teardrop type shape, it perfectly and easily gets into the corners or my mouth, and around my cupids bow without smudging or going outside of my natural lip line.

I am absolutely in love and can not wait to purchase more colours in this range!

Don't let the plain packaging and weird looking applicator fool you!

I loved this lipstick, the applicator made it so easy to define your lip line with no bleeding and no need for a lipliner.

It dries matte which i love some people may find it drying, but once fully dry easy to put a chapstick or clear gloss over.

Once left to dry it lasted all night, i wore it out to dinner and stayed on through eating and drinking, no lipstick transfer onto the glass.

Light weight, i couldn't even tell i had anything on my lips.

Would recommended you give this lipstick a try!

This is such a good liquid lip formula! It provides bold colour but it feels lightweight and it doesn't dry out your lips! It feels quite moisturizing but the colour is still long-lasting. I also love the applicator on this product as well, as it makes it really easy to apply and you don't need a lip liner with this either.
