I was excited to find this lip gloss in my BBBE ...I’m the lip gloss, lip balm, lippy queen - I can never have too many lip products.
Firstly I love the applicator - it’s very slim and has a countoured sponge that glides over the lip nicely and neatly. The applicator isn’t drowning in gloss either so you don’t tend to have too much lip gloss on the applicator or lips. This lip gloss as a clear, with maybe a slightly nude shade of shimmer. It’s really pretty and natural looking.
Like another reviewer mentioned - the taste is a weird one. I don’t tend to pay much attention to how a lip gloss tastes as they all seem to be much of a muchness in the taste department but this one did standout on the taste test. I’d say the taste was similar to tea tree oil. It’s not awful but I was aware of the taste every time I used it. The other slight downside for me was that when the gloss faded off my lips felt a little dehydrated. I was probably hoping given price and brand it had more impact on the lip care side.
All in all it’s a nice lip gloss, and very glad I had it in the BBBE as I do use it often. Not sure I’d repurchase given the price, but never say never. So I’m a fence sitter for this product.
I got the Dr Hauschka Lip Gloss in the Best Beauty Box Ever box and was very excited to try it.
The packaging is very plain - a black tube with the brand name and what it is on it. The applicator is FANTASTIC. Its doe foot is very small and has a dip in it, which makes application of the gloss easy.
The gloss itself isn't sticky, which I LOVE. It gives your lips a very glossy but not glittery look, and it feels very nourishing. My only issue with this product is the way it tastes/smells. It feels like it invades my mouth and taints it. Not my favourite, but not bad enough that I wouldn't use this up. I would consider repurchasing (as I am becoming fussier and fussier with lip gloss' as I get older and this one ticks a lot of boxes), but if they could fix the taste it would be a MUST.
